Columbus, OH Indian Wedding by SIA Digital Studio

Where to even begin talking about the amazing wedding of Puja and Amey? The bliss, the love and the unforgettable moments were part of their main events! Surrounded by bright lights and their dearest ones, these soulmates celebrated their extraordinary Sangeet at the splendid Hilton Columbus at Easton. The memorable night was a visual treat with lots of pop color drapery, a vibrant dance floor encircled by flashy umbrellas designed by B3 Event Management. Our sweethearts assembled the most beautiful Sangeet outfits we have ever seen! A gorgeous pink floral lehenga skirt paired with a golden choli blouse was Puja’s choice while Raja Amey celebrated with a seriously elegant royal blue Sherwani with an exquisite golden embroidery work on the neck and wristbands! SIA Digital Studio saw these two dancing and having the time of their lives in the evening of their big day and have for us a sneak peek of the joyous festivity in our full gallery!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met my groom through online dating. I knew he was the one when we couldn’t stop talking to each other. We would text 24/7 and could talk about literally anything without getting bored!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
The proposal was such a surprise! I was out to brunch with a friend and when I came back to the apartment, there were candles and rose petals all over. After he proposed, he surprised me with a video of all my family & closest friends sharing their congrats. We spent the rest of the day celebrating with our friends. It was perfect!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Planning an Indian wedding is always stressful based on the number of events there are but everything turned out perfect! Since I work in the creative industry and already had a vision for how I wanted everything to look, it didn’t take me long to find vendors who could make it all come to life. I wanted a jewel tones decor & floral theme that was unique from what other people have done. I also wanted palm trees running down the aisle which turned out amazing! The most important details for me were the food and the DJ- which both turned out amazing!!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
All of my dresses came from India and I wanted colors that would coordinate well with my decor for photos. I chose burgundy and gold for my wedding outfit & my groom's and navy for the wedding party. Although I loved my wedding outfits, my favorites were my Sangeet and reception dresses. My Sangeet dress was a pink floral lehenga from Mahima Mahajan and my reception dress was custom made from Gaurav Gupta.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable parts of planning for me were the small creative details that really made our wedding special and unique. We made a giant movie poster backdrop & banners with our photos on them for the reception, funny Snapchat filters, creative signature cocktail signs, custom place cards, fun bridal party gifts, etc. that really helped set our wedding apart. (all from The Girl in Tulle)

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Based on what our friends and family have told us, everyone especially loved the food at all the events and how smooth and organized the entire weekend was. Everything was perfectly on time and all the dances and speeches were fun and ran pretty quickly!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The most memorable moment of the wedding for me was walking down the aisle with my dad. It was so surreal seeing all my family and friends in the same room and it made everything finally feel real. I also loved the reception after party we had. My sister planned for a huge buffet of food for everyone (including chips & queso- my favorite) and it was so much fun just relaxing and being able to hang out with all our family and friends.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
My favorite decor for the weekend was the Sangeet. My decorator and I had spent the least time discussing it but it turned out so amazing and we even had a bike trolley to take photos with. We also had dances and singers perform at the Sangeet which was so much fun! I also loved our reception cake. I had found the exact cake I wanted on Pinterest & Short North Piece of Cake was able to duplicate it exactly!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Don’t stress about the planning! Have fun with it and let the little things go because you won’t even notice them on the day of and everything will turn out great!

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
I absolutely loved the venue we used. (Hilton Easton). The guests loved how they could walk to so many restaurants, shopping, etc. and we had so much fun working with our contact. (Karen)

Chicago, IL Indian Wedding by Timothy Whaley & Associates

Welcome back to celebrate the joyous reception union of Maharani Sapana and Vishal. The grand finale was full of everything I love: fabulous fashion, breathtaking décor, and of course, one smokin' Maharani! The bride slipped into a sleek navy blue and red anarkali. The pops of color on the flowing skirt was the perfect compliment to the ballroom décor. Hyatt Regency Schaumburg Chicago was bedecked with grandeur charm in an array of golds and blacks that most certainly fit the theme of the night. The sweetheart stage was outfitted with a golden backdrop complete with copious blooms of white florals atop golden stands. I absolutely love the vision Poonam's Creations had for the evening! Guests ended the night on the dance floor and enjoyed the late night snacks provided by the bride and groom. Ashley of Chi Chic Event has revolutionized the wedding planning game and once again succeeded in making a bride's dream come true. Head into the gallery where Timothy Whaley & Associates has curated the perfect set of images to inspire you for your big day.

Romance and intimacy took center stage for Sapana and Visha's festive Indian wedding and the proof is in the photos!  Maharani Sapana got dolled up by Niketa Shah and Monaza Raja donned a red and gold lengha with heavy edge embroidery. The bride complemented her outfit with a shiny mung tikka that channeled a classic Rajasthani Queen. The spacious ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg Chicago was transformed into a romantic haven with a canopy styled mandap with chic, colorful cotton linen surrounded with lush floral designed by Poonam Creations. Sapana's Indian wedding celebration was planned and designed by Ashley of Chi Chic Event. After the ceremony, the couple took to the streets with Timothy Whaley & Associates capturing all the charming photos you can find in the gallery

Chicago, IL Indian Wedding by Timothy Whaley & Associates

There are so many shining moments in Sapana and Vishal's charming Indian wedding that it was so difficult for me to choose just a few images to feature alongside my editorial! Today, Timothy Whaley & Associates brings us back to the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg Chicago for a tantalizing love tale that is truly soulful to the core. My heart just leaped with the wonderful image of the bride getting ready with her parents. Often, Indian brides overlook this special moment, so when I see this cherished moment in time, you bet I am going to sprinkle your screens with all the love. To be quite honest, I am not sure what I loved the most, the pre-wedding fun or the actual Indian ceremony! Vishal's baraat ceremony was led by a horse and the infectious tunes of Bollywood were hanging in the air. Trust me, Maharanis, planning an Indian wedding can be tough! But, with Ashley of Chi Chic Event, it was a night to enjoy by all! As you can see from the last image, Sapana made her grand debut and I have all the details in the next post! Until then, our gallery is where the love is overpouring.

Santa Susana, CA Indian Wedding by Lin & Jirsa Photography

There are some Indian weddings that give me that Maharani Minute. That moment in time where I am truly at loss for words and completely captivated by all the beauty that is radiating in front of me. Such is the lavish tale of Ronica and Raj who enjoyed their very last event at the ultra-romantic Hummingbird Nest Ranch. The charming celebration piloted by Vidhi Kshatriya of The Marigold Company was everything amazing. As the sun was setting off the water and the sky was painted beautifully, guests waited in anticipation for the bride and groom. Dolled Up by Lulu ensured that this bride was worth the wait, and believe me when I say that Ronica was nothing short of perfection. The outdoor venue was set up by 2Create Designs and the pictures down below speak a thousand words. Guests came to enjoy the succulent Indian food catered by Manohar's Delhi Palace, the infectious tunes of Riamu Entertainment and witnessed a colorful and jovial baraat ceremony led by Enchanted Carriages. And, Lin & Jirsa Photography was there each step of the way to capture all the magic. I know exactly where you should be - hanging out with me in the gallery
