Happy Wednesday Maharanis! Today we bring you an Indian wedding that is a bit different from the ones we usually feature. Maharani Nisreen’s unique wedding celebration was full of shabby chic details that blended elements of western and bohemian details with tons of charm. The rustic Western ceremony was held outdoors at the Sanborn County Park, the same venue that housed her naturesque sangeet. Her sangeet night included henna duties from Henna and Beyond who blessed this bride with decorative mehndi. The opulent fete was catered by Jalsa Catering & Events and guests enjoyed a traditional Indian meal while enjoying the whimsical outdoors. For her wedding ceremony, Nisreen was bathed in a natural glow by Glam by HKS and donned traditional Indian attire for her ring exchange with Abbas. Event planner D. Royal Engagements, who also provided floral and decor services, organized a series of synchronized events that left our hearts fluttering with joy! Welcome back to Maharani Hardip’s last stop in her romantic love journey at the Paradisus Playa del Carmen. The bride donned yet another signature look in a gorgeous navy designer lengha with intricate floral embroidery. I absolutely loved the over the top maang tikka and overflowing symmetrical earrings. Styling Trio Riviera Maya returned for their last day as Hardip’s glam squad and bedecked this natural stunner with a soft matte makeup look with rosy lips. Jonathan Cossu Photographer knew exactly the right beach spots to cover and captured some stellar photos of the couple. It was time to head back to the Paradisus Playa del Carmen where the venue was decked out in classic glamour by Canteiro Weddings. DJ Aftershock ensured that the dance floor was always packed. Each and every destination wedding that lands in our laps here at Maharani Weddings makes us just swoon. From the beaches of Hawaii to the tropical nature of Mexico, right down to palaces in India, these weddings seem to come across effortlessly. As Maharani Hardip knows, planning an Indian wedding is a task in itself, but, across the world can be downright daunting! She tasked Blue Petal Destination Weddings to make her dream wedding a reality and to ensure that she would be able to enjoy her big wedding day(s). The Sikh ceremony took place indoors at the Paradisus Playa del Carmen in comfy quarters where everyone had the best pillow seat in the house. The room was filled with fresh bouquets of copious, white floral designed by Canteiro Weddings. After the wedding ceremony, all the guests took it oceanside with a private photoshoot with Jonathan Cossu Photographer that captured the love, laughter and happiness that resonated in the tropical air. Happy Thursday Maharanis! Today, you are in for a special treat with this destination wedding at the Paradisus Playa del Carmen. As I wistfully pondered through these awe-inspiring photos from Jonathan Cossu Photographer, I quickly noticed a pretty in pink theme. Both Maharani Hardip and Newton were blushing from this tone and I love how the different hues look so brilliant against the tropical nature that is Mexico! It was a full morning of prepping for both the bride and groom. Styling Trio Riviera Maya, with their treasure cove of makeup galore, showed up bright and early to transform the bride into a flawless beauty. Hardip’s floor length bridal anarkali was a vision in itself. Off white with soft pink, floral embroidery and a U shaped open back, I am at loss for words! I love how this bride broke the traditional barrier of donning red, and went with a sultry and sophisticated bridal look. The groom fashioned a custom made pink turban with ivory white intricate pearls that was the perfect compliment to his bride. One of the most distinctive and commendable features from Namitha and Yash’s big day(s) was just how unique each event was. It was evident that Aura Events and Entertainment treated each occasion like a standalone event. Florals took centerstage at the reception at Carlyle On The Green. The chosen ballroom had the finest ambience given the Palladian windows overlooking the lush landscape, adorned with white organza drapes. Design House Decor wowed the guests (and us) with the interplay of lavender and dim orange lighting. A pink rose wallpaper served as the stage backdrop, amidst a floral and foliage frame-of-sorts. The monochrome table setting offset the florals and color galore gorgeously - ivory Chiavari chairs and cream linens with pops of baby pink via the floral arrangements. Namitha opted for an pink and cream ombre lehenga, with an embroidered tulle overlay. Her hair was side-swept and left loose in gorgeous curls, with an antique gold jhumar as the finishing touch. Beauty by Tamanna gave Namitha a stunning metallic pink smokey eye, one that we have vowed to recreate at the next wedding we attend! The pink from her makeup, outfit, and bangles contrasted Zara Henna’s intricate Mehndi design so wonderfully! The live jazz music from the band Like Minds Trio brought in a whiff of retro, after which DJ Amritpal Singh from Bollywood DJs took over once the guests hit the dance floor. Given just how big of a role music and dance played in this shindig, we cannot wait to see the feature film from Swat Films. Ajit Singh Photography turned the sweetness up a notch with a series of well-timed clicks, and great portraits!
