Maharani Kajal on her hair and makeup:

"Makeup: I knew exactly the kind of look that I wanted, and Maryam (my make up artist) was awesome! She knew exactly what my vision was and executed it perfectly!! Hair: I've known Jincey (my hair stylist) for a long time and she also knew what I liked. We went through all of the hair styles, and the day of she perfected all of my styles as well, even under al of the time crunches!"

On the role her family played in the wedding:

"My whole entire family played major parts in all aspects of my wedding preparations which I was so thankful for! I think everyone did their part! My cousins especially did a lot! They made my Instagram posters and my photo booth posters which turned out wonderful and added that personal touch to everything! My sister and sister-in-laws literally took all of the stress off of me during the week of the wedding and added their personal touches everywhere!"

On her jewelry:

"I would have to say my wedding day jewelry was very special to me. I felt like I looked everywhere for the perfect wedding day set, I almost gave up, and then I saw this set and I knew instantly I loved it and that was the only thing I could see myself wearing on my wedding day!! My reception jewelry was also another piece I could not decide on because I had my own idea in mind, which eventually I designed and had made! I loved it!!"

Have an amazing day, Maharanis! We'll be back tomorrow with another fantastic shaadi!

Maharani Kajal on choosing her bridal lenghas:

"I had an idea of how I wanted my wedding and reception dresses to look like so I designed it along with a designer in India, which was so amazing! The process of watching your dream outfit starting from just fabrics that you've choosen to the final product was truly amazing!"

On the most magical moment of the wedding:

"Ankur and I hadn't seen each other prior to the wedding in about 8-9 months since he was in Budapest for school. So on the day of the wedding when we finally saw each other, 'the unveiling' was so beautiful! So many emotions going through both of us, it was magical!"

On the first dance song:

"I chose 'Humdard' by Arjit Singh, mainly because of the meaning behind the song was so beautiful. However, I will say that was one of the hardest things to choose was the first dance song!"

We'll see what happened at the reception when we return!

Maharani Katie on her wedding looks:

"My stylist, Asma, and I worked together to create the perfect look. I had two looks, one for each of our ceremonies. I knew I wanted a dramatic look for the Hindu ceremony and a soft, pretty look for the American ceremony. Asma knew exactly what to do and how to transition the looks perfectly. She created a dramatic bronze and maroon smokey eye with red lips for the Hindu ceremony and a softer brown eye with pretty pink lips for the American ceremony and reception."

On how their families helped:

"Every one of our family members helped with some aspect of our wedding and for that, we are truly lucky. I think almost everyone added something special to the day. My sisters made our cake topper (one side was an Indian couple and the other was dressed in American clothes to reflect our fusion wedding!) and also made a welcome sign for the front of our venue. Cousins and uncles helped to construct and decorate our mandap in their wedding suits! A friend of the family picked up our cakes and ice cream. And of course, our parents provided endless support, advice and ideas all throughout the process."

Have an amazing day, Maharanis! We'll be back tomorrow to close the week with a dazzling wedding!

San Francisco, CA Indian Fusion Wedding by Wedding Documentary Photo + Cinema

To perfectly represent both sides of their cultures, Maharani Katie and her Raja Darshan had two ceremonies! Of course, two ceremonies means two outfits, and our gorgeous bride Katie wore a vintage white gown from Sincerity Bridal for the Christian wedding! Her intricate mehndi from Kamala's Henna World was the perfect accessory to go with her minimal jewelry, and natural makeup from Makeovers By Asma added the final layer of sophistication to her classic wedding look! Indian groom Darshan was also stylish of course, wearing a sleek dark blue tux and cream colored tie that made him look like a Maharaja! Maharani Katie on the most magical moment of the wedding:

"It's had to choose one moment, but just looking out at all the guests during the ceremony and then over to your about-to-be husband, realizing that you are in a room filled with all of your family and friends who are all there to support you and celebrate with you both. Realizing that all of his family is now yours and your family is now his. It is a truly unique feeling that really only happens once in your life."

On choosing their first dance song:

"Our first dance was to Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling in Love.' For months leading up to the wedding, I would listen to a 'Wedding Songs' Pandora Station for inspiration for all of our music at the wedding. Every time this song came on, I would tear up and I just knew that it was the perfect song for us. It is a classic, beautifully sung and beautifully written."

Come back for the incredible reception!
