Lorton, VA Indian Wedding by Lexi Moore Photography

As a new week arrives, we have yet another fantastic story to share with you, darlings! Shravya & Michael's union was marvelous in every sense of the word. So get comfortable, ladies, and let's start the week with a creativity boost. Our charming couple hosted an extraordinary celebration at The River View at Occoquan. This venue offers first-class services to all guests, especially those about to start a new life together. Shravya & Michael were immediately captivated by the stunning views and quiet aura from the spot, deciding to have their grand event there. Accompanied by Yaadein Weddings' divine adornment and the prolific IndAroma in charge of the catering services, the lovebirds took everyone to dreamland for the day. Shravya & Michael's vision was brought to life by Sculptable Design's splendid planning skills. Their more than capable team ensured our couples' day was nothing but perfect. Talking bout perfection, our enchanting Maharani is here to stagger! Shravya looked glorious in her blue lengha full of intricate patterns that were a faultless match for her mehndi scheme. I do have to say that Absolute Beauty by Wendy did wonders with her hair, and the soft makeup touches allowed the bride's delicate traits to shine. The handsome groom also played along, styling his golden locks of hair while rocking a traditional attire for the festivity. Our couple looked splendid as they did happily showed off their dance moves. Their day was filled with outstanding instants, sublimely frozen by Lexi Moore Photography behind the lenses. Her passion and commitment to all of her clients shine through her work. Shravya & Michael's wedding was no exception, and we have their picturesque gallery wholly available for you, dears! Get your inspiration.

Voorhees Township, NJ Indian Wedding by Manish and Sung Photography

My lovely Maharanis, Monday has arrived, and it brought us a heartwarming story courtesy of Sanjana & Krithik. These lovebirds said "I do" on a gorgeous spring day at The Mansion on Main Street. This venue's calm yet luxurious nature instantly caught our couples' attention, making it the ideal place to rejoice with their loved ones to celebrate their marriage. And sweeties, you cannot miss the glorious decor Tradition and Trends did for this magnificent wedding. It is a sight to behold! The flower's gracefulness gave the whole event a mesmerizing perspective that only our Mahanari could match. Ladies, let me tell you about this lovely bride's looks! Her enchanting elegance and fascinating attire were striking! Looks by Jassi did an exceptional hair and makeup to Sanjana that made her look astonishing. She was a queen with her charming king! Although a massive celebration like this one can be stressful at times, our couple had Events By Srishti vehement team by their side throughout the arrangement and design of their wedding day, making it as perfect as possible. And, sweethearts, the result was magnificent! Sanjana & Krithik could revel in the event's magic with the experts keeping everything in check. The guests enjoyed it just as much as the newlyweds with the ambiance DJSargam created. Undoubtedly their love shone brighter than the sun on their grand day, and it shows in every single picture captured by Manish and Sung Photography. You can be dazzled by Sanjana & Krithik's story with this brilliant gallery available for you. Ladies, go check it out!

Endwell, NY Sikh Wedding by House of Talent Studio

Hello, Maharanis! Get ready to enjoy Kavan & Anoop's lovely wedding in today's Platinum Guide Blog.

photo #336317

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met Anoop years ago when we were kids. We used to attend the same overnight Sikh summer camp. Through that camp his family became good friends with one of my family's good friends. Anoop and I became friends and got to see each other at gatherings and at camp. We found out we had many common interests. We bonded over our love of football, food, and travel. He always knew had to put a smile on my face from 3 states away. I knew he was the one when he would spend his weekends off from work in cold, snowy upstate New York visiting me in grad school.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
We got engaged the day before my birthday. It was only a month after I had moved to Virginia. Anoop had planned for my parents to come visit us. He knew I wasn't fond of my birthday or making it a big deal. Even so he insisted I got out and get something new to wear for dinner. The week leading up to my "birthday dinner" Anoop was taking a lot of phone calls outside. The day of the dinner Anoop was on the phone outside, talking about how he would come pick someone up later. Eventually it was time for dinner, I became annoyed when Anoop disappeared before dinner and didn't tell me anything about the evening ( I hate surprises). He also chose a restaurant that was 1 hour away from our house. When we arrived at the restaurant Anoop met me and we went to the rooftop, while everyone else stayed downstairs. Up on the rooftop I had to close my eyes and Anoop led me to an area that was beautifully decorated with flowers. He got down on one knee and proposed to me with a cherry Ring Pop. It was a long standing joke between us that he could propose with a Ring Pop and I would say yes, as long as it was cherry. After the proposal we were joined by both of our families, and siblings, and a few very close friends. He also surprised me with bringing our 3 month old puppy, Bennett. A photographer was there to capture  the whole thing. Afterwards we all had an amazing dinner together.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We got married in my hometown, which is a small town in Upstate New York. There is a small indian community. With it being a small town our decisions on venue was simple. We knew we wanted our Reception to be at a hotel for the sake of convenience for our guests. The DoubleTree hotel was the prefect place for us. The ballroom was grand and the hotel was modern. DoubleTree cookies are also Anoop's favorite so it seemed like a no brainer for us. Hair and makeup was also a no brainer for me! I had a friend recommend a friend of hers and when I met Mari, I just knew she was the right person for me. She understood my vision of what I wanted for my hair and makeup. She took my "natural but glamorous" direction and brought it to life. The rest of the planning for decor and theme was all in collaboration with my mom. We talked about the other weddings we had been too and what we liked and didn't like. We also found different ideas on the internet,

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
When going into looking for a wedding lengha, I knew I didn't want something traditional and red. I have a lot of family who lives in Canada so we had gone to visit them. During our visit my mom insisted we go and look at some shops to get ideas for when we went to India. When we went into the first shop I steered completely clear of anything red. I tried on a few different lenghas but I knew I wasn't planning on buying anything. But when I tried on one lengha in particular I fell in love. It was a  beautiful peach color with silver bead work. I took it off and we moved on, but I couldn't stop thinking about the peach lengha. We left the store and I still was thinking about that specific leghna. That is how I knew it was the one! We went back the next day and It came home with me! As for my reception outfit, I actually ended up buying it from a virtual consultation because everything was closed during COVID. I knew I wanted something that was different and I wanted it to be easy to dance in. The store I worked with was great, I shared pictures of things that I liked. I then told them what color I was interested in and my budget. We then had a video call where they showed me 10 options. From there we narrowed it down and they sent me individual pictures and videos of my top outfits. After I picked my gown, they walked me through taking my own measurements via video. They even helped me design a custom duputta to match. The gown arrived and it was perfect!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
I think our wedding was super special both us and our guests because of the timing. Our wedding was the first time that people really were able to gather again after 18 months of COVID. It was such a happy joyful occasion because we finally got to celebrate our love with ALL our family and friends. The wedding brought a sense of normalcy back to life. People from all across the country were finally able to safely gather together. Another thing our guests particularly loved was our DJ and entertainment team. Shoutout to DSD Lighting and Events. Monish and Himanshu were incredible. They did all the music and audio from our Sangeet,  Baraat, to the Anand Karj and the Reception. They kept the dancing floor rocking all weekend long.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
