Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We wanted to make sure our wedding was special memorable and unique. Due to covid restrictions, we had an intimate wedding with 200 guests and for the groom side, it was more of a destination wedding so they had booked a resort for 3 days where we had all the wedding functions. Utmost care was taken and we had ensured event planners to be there to help our guests when needed.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Yes I wanted hot pink color, we did video calling to Asopoalav store for Indian bridal lengha and I liked the detailing work with hot pink color so we picked it.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable process was about seeing things come inflow. Grooms family had customized cabin luggage bags with our wedding hashtag for all the guests which was a special touch. Also, we had all the events with a theme, sangeet had Bollywood theme decor and dance. The reception was sit down style dinner. The wedding had a center stage for varmala and mandap was of cream and pink color matching groom and bride outfits shade
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Since it was an intimate wedding guest felt special and we ensured they were a part of the journey with us. They enjoyed all the functions and special customized gifts we had for them
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Yes, the groom had a special Mehendi: Proud Groom of Dhwani which was very special for me. Also during the pheras he had 7 custom vows for me:
1) (1/7) I vow to always come to you.
I promise that your hand will be the only hand I clutch when I spot a flying insect or when there's turbulence on a plane. I promise to come to you with all the gossip and I'll also come to you to vent out after a bad day. I'll come to you when I'm happy when I'm sad when I'm nervous when I'm scared when I'm excited, but I'll always come to you!
2) (2/7) I vow to be a good listener.
I want your worst- give me your bad days at work, your long commutes and traffic jams, your lost keys, your missed alarms, your annoying phone calls, bounced cheques, bad wifi, your low battery... give me your every day, and I will give you my love, a strong shoulder and both my ears, to make it alright.
3) (3/7) I vow to guide you with your best interest at my heart.
I promise to tell you what you can pull off clothes-wise and be honest when it's not just working. I’ll motivate you every time you want to take the next step. I’ll call you out too when I feel you’re wrong. I’ll be your friend, philosopher and I’ll always want what's best for you.
4) (4/7) I vow to love and respect you.
Even as you scan through all those movies without picking one to watch. Even as you come up with very questionable ideas. Even when you Yawn mid-conversation. Even if you love pineapple pizza topping or eat vanilla ice cream. I'm going to love you and going to keep you.
5) (5/7) I vow to always be there for you when you need me. Sometimes, even when you don't need me.
I promise to comfort you when you order pineapple pizza or when you prefer cheesecake over chocolate cake. My only wish is to be the person you chose to sit next to in the room with all the people in history ever.
6) (6/7) I vow to try and have the tolerance and patience that love demands. To speak when words are required and share the silence when they are not. I promise I’ll try to be patient as we both adjust, find our way, find our groove and create our own perfect world.
7) (7/7) I vow to live this ADventure with you.
Let's be silly together. Let's just be stupid and eat unhealthy things (but also workout) and make bad decisions ( but also be responsible). Let's learn that shuffle. Let's stay up late and watch FRIENDS or any episode and then run around like crazies in the morning. Let's do it! It’ll be an adventure. Let's live for the moments! Let's make memories!
This was the best moment that the groom had given thought to and make my(brides) day so special. It really meant a lot to me. He took efforts to ensure the day was special and memorable
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Make sure you book your makeup artist in advance. I had done air spray make-up on wedding and reception day as I didn't want too much extra makeup and that turned out well.
That is all for today, darlings! See you on Monday for more.
