Happy Monday, Maharanis! It feels great to be back with a new love story! This time, we'll be joining Jillian & Nitin at their wedding festivities; believe us, you will love every bit of it! Today's fusion wedding started with a colorful and vibrant Sangeet ceremony beautifully planned by Weddings & Events by Rama Bhat. This wedding was fantastic; everyone had a blast at Omni Las Colinas Hotel! Jillian loved all the dances and the great time she spent with family and friends. Sarah from Alice Allen Events brought the vision to life and took care of the design of this wedding, and trimmed every detail to make it perfect. Laurel + Finch took care of the fantastic decor, flowers, and carefully planned decorations that turned out so beautifully. If you were wondering who the masterminds behind Jill's stunning look were, peek at this fabulous vendor lineup. Brite Beauty in the beauty department, I Dream Bridal and Maharani Fashions on the fashion choices, Meena's Mehndi for the incredible Mehndi design, and last but not least, Raj Jewels and Dazzle Jewelry & Co. on the dazzling jewelry pieces. Hands down a winning combination that still has us sighing. After the ceremony, there was an epic reception party enlivened by DJ Riz Entertainment. He created an unforgettable event; guests really loved him because they were on the dance floor all night, and he helped them develop the right vibe and experience to make it memorable! The only time the dancing stopped was to enjoy the mouth-melting cake baked by Fancy Cakes by Lauren. Ladies, if you can't get enough of this lovely couple, you can't miss today's marvelous Matt Allen Photography gallery. You'll love it much!
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met online on an app called “Coffee Meets Bagel.” We were both not crazy about being on apps, and both of us were right about deleting the app before we connected. After talking a lot, we met a few weeks later, and it was an instant connection.
There wasn’t one particular moment, more of a gut feeling very early on. Maybe a few dates in, I knew he was different, and there wasn’t just a chemistry connection but a soul connection. I loved his heart, how he loves people, and Jesus. I felt so comfortable with him early on; his humble, genuine, kind, hilarious self was so easy to be around. It didn’t take many dates for me to wish we never had to leave.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Sunny (or Nitin) always surprises me with dates, so I never know what we are going to do or where we will go. We had a series of dates leading up to the actual proposal, all centered around milestones in our love story. The day he proposed was a freezing day in February; he brought me to the Gondola Adventures in Los Colinas. We were literally serenaded by our lovely driver as we slowly strolled through the river. Our driver asked me to grab something out of the water, and it was a message in a bottle, the sweetest, hand-written message from Sunny, that immediately made me start crying. He knelt down and asked me to marry him. We celebrated together in a nearby hotel for a quick drink, then took us to a super fun restaurant where there was a surprise engagement party with both of our siblings (two of which who flew in). It was absolutely perfect.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The dancing! All the dances were so much fun.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
I loved all the prepared dances at both the Sangeet and reception. Everyone had so much fun and all the months of hard work preparing for an incredible production.
I loved seeing all my family and friends and all of Sunny’s family and friends surrounding us and celebrating with us. It’s a beautiful and humbling experience to see so much love and support, and it made both of us so grateful for the incredible family and friend support network we have.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Our flowers and carefully planned decorations turned out so beautifully. My planner Sarah brought a vision in my head to life. We wanted it to have so many beautiful flowers and lights and candles everywhere. It turned out so magical.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
There are a million ways to do your wedding, but make sure you take the time to see what your fiancé and you want to do together. Also, find ways to make your fiancé feel as involved and a part of the wedding planning process as they want to be.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
We are so grateful for all the incredible hard work from all our vendors. We are so thankful for our parents, who helped us bring together a perfect weekend.
Remember that we have inspiring stories every day, so make sure to join us tomorrow for more!
