Overland Park, KS Indian Wedding by Mariam Saifan Photography

The spectacular celebration of love of  Sumaiya and Tauhid took place at the exclusive Overland Park Marriott and it was filled with solemn, fun and lovely moments! The soiree was planned to perfection by Julie Wallace who made sure no detail was overlooked and also orchestrated the fabulous vendors that participated in the creation of this event. The gorgeous abundant details were thanks to the fabulous Kiran Decorations who built the masterpiece that backdropped the couple's best moments while the marvelous team of A & L Florist provided all the fresh blooms that decked the lavish wedding spot. After a few auspicious ceremonies and fun traditions, Sumaiya and Tauhid dined with their guests and sliced two glorious wedding cakes; a beautiful three-tiered white cake and a fun custom made soccer themed groom cake created by the brilliant pastry chefs of 3 Woman and An Oven.  DJ Pete turned up the celebratory sounds for some seriously fun party excitement and Mariam Saifan Photography captured the portraits and highlights of Sumaiya and Tauhid's most special day! Find all these scenes in our complete gallery!

Valencia, CA Indian Wedding by Peter Nguyen Studio

Following our newlyweds' incredible day, Peter Nguyen Photography takes us to a magical Sheena and Amir's reception space that came alive with simple yet sophisticated decor by Kumba Events! I simply love the beautiful peacock feathered pattern of the sweethearts' stage! Maharani Sheena took the dance floor in a gorgeous emerald green lehenga along with an adorable hairstyle by Boldface Beauty. While Raja Amir posed next to her in a deep purple tuxedo jacket. This time the charming bridal entourage joined the bride in glorious purple lehengas they twirled all night long. The night was filled with vibrant entertainment and fabulous feast catered by Mantra. Peter Nguyen Photography beautifully captured the evening's most memorable moments, from the couple's gorgeous first portraits to their memorable dances! Follow me to the gallery for all the wonderful scenes.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met on Tinder. The special part is that we technically met by mistake, a glitch in the geolocation of the app, but the glitch was life-changing! Amir was traveling to Los Angeles from Maryland for work. He popped up on my Tinder while he was in LA, but did not get back on there himself until he was back in Maryland..so I never should have popped up on his account. Once he landed back in Maryland and hopped on the app, swiped right on my profile, the app crashed! It somehow saved our match and we were able to start chatting from there.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
He disguised it as a late Valentine's Day date as we were both so busy with work and hadn't gotten the chance to celebrate on the actual holiday. He surprised me by picking me up from work mid-day and we went on a gondola ride in Huntington Beach. Mid-way through the ride I came across a floating message in a bottle. I thought it may just be a cute Valentine's Day note but as I opened it up and read the sweetest message, he got down on one knee to propose! I literally did not know it was happening until it just was. After that, he had planned a dinner for what I thought was just the two of us, but when I walked in to the restaurant, both of our families were there waiting! His family flew all the way from Maryland to LA to be there with us which was so special and fun. I thought we were still discussing ring designs, little did I  know he was entertaining the conversation when everything was already done!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I wanted my bridal lengha to be a little different than the traditional red and gold, so I came up with the ombre idea of white/pink/red so I was able to have a little bit of the traditional color mixed in to my own unique idea. Working with Heeral at Sari Palace as great, she really helped me with creating the vision I had in my head, my dress turned out exactly as I wanted it!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I honestly enjoyed the whole process. I told myself at the beginning to always remember this whole thing was being planned for a happy occasion, so the process should should mirror it. I didn't want to be too stressed out or unhappy like I heard many brides say, so I gave myself 1.5 years to plan. My parents were EXTREMELY helpful, I could not have done this without them. Seeing your relatives and family come together to really help out for such a big day is amazing, it truly shows how much people care.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our dance floor! Amir and I both love to dance as do our friends..so it really made all the guests feel comfortable to get out there and stay there all night! I have never been to a reception where the dance floor stays as packed as it did all night, we truly had the best time seeing everyone enjoying themselves.

See you ladies tomorrow

Pompton Plains, NJ Indian Wedding by Pandya Photography

Pandya Photography kindly shared today the magical scenes of Priya and Arpan's Indian wedding ceremony, a captivating event at the sophisticated interiors of the Legacy Castle! Exuding a splendorous theme, this heart-warming affair opened its doors and two beautiful cherry blossoms on each side of the elevated aisle lead to the breathtaking floral and eucalyptus foliage walls and mandap. Magical dazzling lights of three crystals chandeliers lit the ceremony spot! This wedding heaven was fully created by the award-winning decor firm Elegant Affairs Inc., whom I must say, used just the right soft palette for a perfect color harmony! Raja Arpan made his great entry into this fabulous setting first, stealing some glances in his cream color sherwani that he perfectly combined with a fabulous green scarf and a pair of bronze silk trousers! Charming baby's breath garlands were exchanged as well as wedding bands and these two were husband and wife at last! See for yourself and check out the complete gallery for more significant moments!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
My husband I actually met 16 years ago in high school when I was dating one of his friends. We became best friends shortly thereafter. We helped each other through relationships, break-ups, jobs - really just life in general. So many people saw the connection we had and we felt it as well but it wasn't until 2017 when we shared our feelings for each other. We were engaged within months and our families could not be happier.

Throughout the years, we always found ourselves in Princeton for either drinks, dinner or dessert. The first place we shared our feelings for each other was at Triumph Brewery in Princeton. My husband proposed to me there with the whole room lit up with candles, roses and pictures of us throughout the years. The best part was that he included my dog Lucky and his dog Pepper.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I had the wedding ceremony at The Legacy Castle - they are so amazing there, they were super professional and helpful. My reception was at Maritime Parc and it was beautiful as well. I knew exactly who I wanted for hair and makeup and didn't even book a trial (Flawless Beauty by Pauline). I relied on feedback from my friends for decor because I wanted someone reliable and I am so glad I chose Elegant Affairs, they were so easy to work with. I chose Abhi Pandya for photography and it was the best choice that I made because I felt so comfortable with him and loved my pictures.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I was short on time but I knew I wanted something a little different in terms of colors.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I can't say I completed enjoyed planning a wedding - I never had too much of a vision so it took a lot of Pinterest and Etsy to give me some guidance. We decided to donate to a charity instead of favors so I think the best part was finding which charity meant the most to us.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our wedding was a little different - we had a large wedding ceremony on one day with all of our family and friends and the next day we had a smaller reception with only cousins and friends. It was nice to have a smaller reception where our cousins and friends could enjoy, let loose and be themselves while the kids stayed home with the grandparents :-).

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The speeches were really special to us. Each and every speech still replays in my head.

An intimate look to Priya and Arpan's soiree is coming up next!
