Napa, CA Indian Wedding by Sameer Soorma Studios

It's time to check the take number two of the wonderful union between Maitri and Shibir in Napa Valley! Amidst the natural splendor of the wine country, Raja Shibir rode a regal white horse courtesy of Vintage Carriage Company and entered joyfully to the ceremony joined by a large party of friends and family. The big day calls for nothing but perfection at the exclusive The Meritage Resort and Spa who prepared a special outdoor spot along with Vermilion Weddings whose team brilliantly planned an unforgettable day. Romantic and charming are the best words to describe the dreamy ceremony that took place under a stunning gazebo festooned by NC Event Design with fresh greenery and lovely white and lavender roses! Two wine barrels held the floral arrays that welcomed the guests into the Holy union while a customed aisle runner showcased the couple's sweet monogram! Sameer Soorma Studios took advantage of the natural light of the scenic vineyards to capture the emotions and the deep connection of this heart-melting twosome! Go to the gallery and see the complete photo session and remember to take a look at this union in the pages of our Best of 2018!

Long Beach, CA Ismaili Wedding by Global Photography

A fabulous soiree wrapped up the wedding of Nikhita and Amar, held at the grand Hyatt Regency Long Beach. For this special occasion, Nikhita knew exactly how she wanted to look for her big night! She chose a gorgeous dark plum color outfit, embellished with splendid golden heavy embroidery and accented her look with a delightful hairstyle thanks to Drea V Makeup. Now that the couple was in the dance floor, they kicked off their first few hours of marriage dancing with the beats of DJ Sandeep Kumar. Viral Booth OC helped the DJ upgrade the fun during the night with a fabulous photo cabin that caught all the funny and true spontaneous moments of all the guests. BEL Event Productions handled the wedding phenomenally and brought to life the couple’s vision with an alluring décor that displayed scattered lavender hues all over the place. A great sweet highlight of the night was thanks to DK Donuts who created a fabulous and delicious donut wall for all the dessert lovers! See all the greatness Global Photography captured in our full gallery!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Amar and I met at a summer camp known as Camp Mosaic. According to Amar, he fell in love with me when we sat down during a moment at camp exchanging jokes and laughing up a storm. For me, I fell in love with Amar during our 10 hour Facetime dates when we could talk about anything and everything and not get tired or bored with each other. That's when I realized this is the guy I want to spend the rest of my life with.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Amar proposed to me at Laguna Beach, where we had our first date. He had been planning the proposal for 6 months and I had no clue. I was at work early in the morning and got let out early because he called my boss to release me. Once I got home I got ready and my sisters, my best friend and I all got in a limo Amar had rented for the day for us. We were about 3 hours late to the proposal due to LA traffic, and once I got there he had a video set up for me to watch from all our friends with the sweetest messages ever. When he finally came out, he was wearing my dads favorite tie and he said, "your dad gave me his tie as his blessing and will only let me keep it if you say yes" That one line stole my heart and I couldn't be more excited to marry such an amazing and caring man. The best part was when my mom showed up because I had no idea she was there and the rooftop where we had our first date was filled with all our close friends and family cheering!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Hair and make up for my nikkah ceremony and reception was done by the amazing dreavmakeup. My reception themes were all different shades of purple and white!

Hair and makeup for my sangeet was done by Nida Gazi, my theme for the sangeet was Indian street themed with umbrellas as centerpieces, a decked out bike as a backdrop for pictures and a bangles cart and Indian street food to top it off.

My sangeet outfit was designed by me and made by Elan Atlanta courtesy of Salima Budhani.
My reception and Nikkah outfit was a custom outfit designed by me and came to life thanks to the owner of Yasmin Boutique, Kausar Aunty.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I knew the colors I wanted for my reception since I was about 20 years old. Plum has always been a favorite color of mine so I decided to go along with that. It's a color not commonly seen worn at wedding receptions and I also wanted lavender to be incorporated somewhere in my decor and plum just matched it perfectly. I also loved the combination of peach and navy blue and Amar is a big fan of navy blue (chargers fan and all) so that is why we selected those colors for our sangeet.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I think the most enjoyable part was spending time with Amar and going venue shopping all across southern California. We would have the best time at these meetings just laughing and imagining what our big day would be like.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
If I had to pick one thing the guests enjoyed it would definitely be the food. I think we went above and beyond to make sure our food was amazing since Amar and I are both foodies!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
I think the most special moment for me personally during the wedding was right before our Nikkah ceremony. I was getting ready and taking a few bridal pictures alone before I had to meet Amar. One of his best men came to me with a cute little Tiffany's box in hand. Amar has known that since we met I always wanted to own a piece of jewelry from Tiffany's and what better day to give it than right before our official wedding ceremony. Inside the Tiffany's box was a cute heart-shaped pendant with my father's initials and a note that said even though he is not physically here with you today he is always in your heart. Amar is known for his sweet little gestures and seeing that right before the big ceremony just made me realize my dad would be so happy for us!

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
For all our event we had decor done by BEL events. my favorite decor was for the reception with the best floral backdrop ever! we also an awesome donut wall inspired by our wedding coordinator Dana and Amar since they are both donut enthusiast and donuts catered from DK's donuts.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
My advice would be to make sure you get food at every event and to not stress during your wedding week. Don't worry about anything that goes wrong just live in the moment and enjoy the company of everyone. This moment only comes once!

See you all on Friday!

Chicago, IL Indian Fusion Wedding by Jacqui Cole Photography

The ballroom at The Drake Hotel was ready for Courtney and Karthik’s grand reception party once planners from Events by Nisar and decorators from Shaadi Creations decked out the ballroom with shimmering candles, whimsical centerpieces, and elegant tablescapes. Of course the most beautiful part of the evening was radiant Courtney, who breezed into the ballroom in a floaty white wedding dress by Vera Wang. Magnificent Brides returned as the makeup artist and gave this bride a sultry glow and sleek updo that made her resemble a Bollywood goddess. Karthik also looked dapper as could be in a fitted blue suit. The bride and groom floated gracefully across the dance floor while guests looked on with rapt delight. The love between this dynamic duo and the oodles of sparkling chandeliers lit up the festive night, and we are sure guests will never forget this epic celebration. Every fabulous wedding moment was captured by Jacqui Cole Photography, and here at Maharani Weddings, we can’t stop swooning over each and every precious snap. Chicago, IL Indian Fusion Wedding by Jacqui Cole Photography

There are so many reasons that Courtney and Karthik’s Indian fusion wedding has remained in our minds since we first perused the fabulous photos captured by Jacqui Cole Photography. Orchestrated by the talented planning and design team at Events by Nisar and decor aficionados from Shaadi Creations, this fusion affair continued on an utterly glamorous note with dual Hindu and Christian ceremonies at The Drake Hotel. The interplay between Courtney and Karthik’s cultures created the most textured, romantic ambiance, and we’re swooning over each and every detail. We loved both of Courtney’s bridal looks; her chic purple and red silk sari was the epitome of Bollywood grace, while her diaphanous white gown was classic elegance at its best. Magnificent Brides did a stellar job on Courtney’s makeup, and her dewy glow and smokey eyes perfectly matched the lux surroundings. Events by Nisar and Shaadi Creations decked out the space using a glittering combination of ethnic and contemporary elements, such as rose petals, a white mandap, and a pink Ganesha backdrop.
