Houston, Texas Indian Wedding by MnM Photography

Welcome back lovelies! Anita and Gowtham’s ceremony kicked off with a banging baraat, where Gowtham was styling in his shades in a McLaren with suicide doors. After years of dreaming of a Maharani Wedding, this duo’s magical weekend was all they hoped it would be. "The wedding was GRAND from start to finish! Every vendor the best at what they do. The mandap was magical. I had tears come to my eyes when the doors opened and the magnificent mandap was revealed to me with my groom standing in the middle of the aisle. DJ Insomnia played beautiful music in the background to set the mood right as I saw my groom for our first look. It was just magical! That moment was unforgettable." We have to give kudos to Prashe Decor for creating such a sensational mandap - a huge highlight of the event. The uniqueness and beauty of the structure, combined with a raised aisle, was all the guests were chattering about. After the couple were pronounced Mr. and Mrs., the gorg duo bounded from the stage in a shower of rose petals. They then exited the Hyatt Regency Houston in a horse drawn carriage. The horse even had gold nail polish on! So cute. Every detail of this soiree was meticulously thought out from start to finish by K.I. Weddings - Jignasa Sharma, who orchestrated every special detail. We’re so impressed with the precision they brought to this dazzling event. Hurry over to the full gallery by MnM Photography to bask in all the beauty.

Houston, Texas Indian Wedding by MnM Photography

Anita and Gowtham have the sweetest love story that we can’t wait to share with you all! Anita told us, “I knew Gowtham was the one almost immediately. The first time we met he came up to me with the most warm, amazing smile that made me feel like I had already known him for ages. As cliche as it sounds, it was love at first sight!” Aw. These two had the wedding of their dreams, and trust us when we say you’ll want to take notes on all the dazzling details for your own special soiree. K.I. Weddings - Jignasa Sharma planned an ambitious and stylish string of events, and we’re overwhelmed with the sheer decadence present. Anita and Gowtham's events kicked off with an epic sangeet extravaganza, which swirled into a full on dance party with joyous beats played all night long by DJ Insomnia. The space was festooned by Prashe Decor in a lovely array of drapings, lanterns, and pillows that created a romantic ambiance. Anita wore a perfectly whimsical Rohit Verma outfit, featuring a green bodice with rainbow embroidery, and a canary yellow, chiffon skirt. She resembled the epitome of a summery, Bollywood bride. Long Island, NY Indian Wedding by Greycard Photography

We’ve finally arrived at Raycha and Kunwar’s explosive reception party at the Hilton Long Island. Raycha walked out of her beauty chambers dripping in pure elegance with a flowing navy and pink lehenga and golden jewels. Magnifique Brides and Fiza Mansoor gave the bride the full royal treatment and it shows in each and every glamorous photo. Meanwhile, Kunwar also brought his fashion A-game and looked dapper in a navy tux. The breathtaking Hilton Long Island venue was blinged out fabulously in fuchsia uplighting and tons of soft blooms. Check out the glam sweetheart stage accessorized with massive golden frames. We’re especially loving how one frame contained a gorg portrait of hundreds of white and pink roses. As evident in these stunning pics by Greycard Photography, the spacious quarters resembled a fairytale come true. Guests gasped in delight as the newlyweds swirled and dipped to their first dance, and soon BWD Entertainment cranked their turntables to full blast and had guests gyrating on the dance floor all night long! Greycard Photography captured the fabulous series of events, and you can find all the snaps in our full gallery.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Kunwar proposed to Raycha in November 2014 on a very special day, his birthday. The couple spent quite some time in a long distance relationship, she was in California, he was in New York. Raycha thought it be a great idea to fly to New York and surprise Kunwar for his special day. She only told her closest friends and family about her plan, flew to New York, and was swept off her feet when she found Kunwar on his knees with a ring in his hands and a very important question...

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

Kunwar and I have been to a lot of weddings together and that helped solidify the things we liked and the things we didn't like as much. We took two years to plan a four day Indian wedding with the help of our close family and friends, we incorporated a lot DIY elements to keep things as budget friendly as possible. I also went to India for the first time in my life and spent a full 10 days shopping and getting inspired.
As a bride I became very comfortable delegating and asking for help, I trusted my sister, my cousins, and close friends to help me with whatever I needed. My 16 bridesmaids came in handy during the entire planning process!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I knew I liked the color pink, I felt that pink would compliment my skin tone a bit better than the traditional red worn by brides. I went to India to purchase my wedding outfit and bought my wedding dress on day one. To me the dress was a perfect combination of traditional elegance and modern simplicity.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

With Kunwar being Sikh and me being raised Hindu we incorporated both of our traditions in the wedding ceremony. Our guests appreciated experiencing wedding traditions they weren't used to, especially the Punjabi tradition of dancing until you drop.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
There is no such thing as a perfect wedding, I can count on two hands all the things that went wrong on my wedding day, funny thing is, I'm the only one that noticed. Invest time and energy in planning the details that matter most to you and let it all go to enjoy your wedding day when it happens.

Sounds like such a magical weekend!

Long Island, NY Indian Wedding by Greycard Photography

We’re tickled pink by all the rosy and fresh details of Raycha and Kunwar’s Hindu + Sikh wedding event. Raycha was literally a blushing bride in beautiful blush hues, from her petal pink cheeks to her dewy lips. The bride donned a gorgeous pink wedding lengha accessorized with sparkling kundan jewels and glimmering kalire. The outfit was complete with a pair of pink and champagne heels that were to die for. Raycha’s (sixteen!) lovely ladies were adorned with bridesmaid's outfits in hues of silver and pink. What a gorg crew! Kunwar’s baraat ceremony showed up loud and proud to the Antun's by Minar venue, and we can almost hear the pounding dhol through these vivacious photos. The groom was gallantly perched upon multiple modes of transport, including a trusty steed and some sleek wheels, and was anxious to catch a first glimpse of his beloved bride to be. The ceremony space was dressed up with oodles of pink garlands and drapings. So breezy and fresh! We have many more photos waiting you in the full gallery captured by Greycard Photography. Up next is the joyous reception soiree at the Hilton Long Island.

Long Island, NY Indian Wedding by Greycard Photography

Happy Thursday lovelies! Today’s featured wedding contains an exciting mix of Sikh and Hindu traditions interspersed with plenty of colors to enchant your senses. Raycha and Kunwar started off their joyous relationship while bicoastal (she lived in CA and he lived in NY), but on Kunwar’s birthday, he swept his lady off her feet with a magical proposal. This thoughtful and creative duo took two years to plan their gorg nuptials, and we have to say, this is one wedding that was definitely worth the wait! We begin our coverage with radiant Raycha readying herself for her much anticipated walk down the aisle, and she was beautified with the best and brightest in the biz. Magnifique Brides and Fiza Mansoor created an enchanted bridal look that included rosy cheeks and lips and glimmering eyeshadow. When she slipped into her petal pink lehenga, Raycha looked like a dream come true! Greycard Photography took some breathtaking solo shots of the bride to be, and soon her bridal party joined in on the fun pics as well. Next up: the sacred Hindu + Sikh ceremonies followed by the reception at the Hilton Long Island! While you wait, you can peruse all the lovely photos captured by Greycard Photography in our full gallery.
