The Indian culture is steeped in enlightenment and traditions and it is no surprise when I see over the top weddings in India. After all, what bride wouldn't want to get married in this gorgeous country? Zubin Mehta, son of Blossom and Nitin Mehta, born and brought up in Mumbai, is the owner of MECORDS India LTD. The love of his life, Zubin is also from Mumbai and I can only imagine how this love just blossomed! Jodhpur saw the creme de la creme of Mumbai as well their esteemed guests from across the globe - Kamlesh and Kaushika Hemdev, Maheka Mirpuri, Aly & Yasmin Morani, Kailash & Aarti Surendranath amongst many others. The opium sky sparkled as the Indian wedding ceremony was performed. The night sky was such a gorgeous backdrop. Stunned by this assortment of high impact trousseau? The groom and bride donned beautiful outfits from designers such as Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra, Shantanu and Nikhil and Tarun Tahiliani. Today I have an enchanting love story celebrating an extremely fashion-forward couple. Maharani Aashna and Zubin met a few times in Mumbai as well as in Delhi to learn that they were truly meant for each other. Zubin, being more of a planner by nature between the both of them, formally proposed to Aashna, at the picturesque & uber romantic, Maldives Taj Exotica. This was followed by a breathtaking roka for a select few close family members and friends at Taj Lands End, followed by an extravagant celebration to mark the beginning of the #A2Z celebrations. Jueta & Pratik Hemdev with their team at Yolo Entertainment & Weddings worked on the grand affair from the Roka ceremony to the wedding in Jodhpur to the reception in Mumbai. I am completely blown away by all the details with chartered jet flights personalized to the wedding theme, all the magically themed events, and some of the most stunning Indian wedding wear I have seen to date. On the forefront of capturing all the memories was Ram Bherwani Weddings who ensured that not a single moment was left uncaptured. I am sadly wrapping this Indian wedding feature starring Shivika and Aman and I can’t quite put my finger on what I loved the most. From the charming Indian wedding to the bride and groom portraits and now concluding with gorgeous trousseau; the charm just doesn’t stop! Garden roses, green hanging Amaranthus and cream hydrangeas filled the reception site. The bride and groom added personal touches to their grand finale by filling the open space with quirky quotes and signboards that were scattered throughout the Heritage Village Resort. Weddings in India are hard to plan! However, with the talented Weddings by Mohit Girdhar, each event was flawlessly seamless. We can just tell that each and every detail planned by Shivika and Aman was immaculate, to say the least. The personalized invitations invited guests to the grand celebration at the Heritage Village Resort, I am sad to see that my invitation got lost in the mail!. Indoor or outdoor? This couple couldn’t decide so they utilized the lush greenery of their venue and the midnight sky to serve as their backdrop as they exchanged their vows in the gardens that twinkled with charm. A startling mandap with cascading florets created an ambiance of laid-back elegance full of sentimental emotion. Today’s destination Indian wedding displays a couple who are so in love, their fondness just sparkles from the screen. The duo brought upon Weddings by Mohit Girdhar to spearhead all planning and design and what resulted was a Rajasthan inspired Indian wedding for the ages. Shivika and Aman were childhood friends turned neighbors and felt the love radiate through them at a Coldplay concert in Mumbai. The bride wanted each day to have its own scene. For the haldi ceremony, a Punjabi theme was displayed. Bright marigolds, bhangra dancers, and festive colors festooned the Heritage Village Resort. Guests got to experience the culture of India without even leaving the resort.
