Happy Friday, Maharanis! Today Digital Memory Studio is bringing us a fabulous Indian wedding, held at Leonard's Palazzo in Great Neck, NY! The video of the sublime affair began with the Indian bride and groom getting ready, and we loved Maharani Amruta's flawless makeup (0:28) -- especially the glittering gold eyeshadow! Then, after a heartwarming first look photo session, it was on to the baraat where the handsome Indian groom rode atop an intricately decorated carriage (1:18)! Once the ceremony started and the blushing Indian bride walked down the aisle, we saw the incredible mandap (2:10) and aisle decorations (2:18) by Stylish Events! Catch all these wonderful moments, as well as an exciting reception, in the video below!
Maharani Amruta on meeting her Raja and how she knew he was "the one":
"Meeting through family friends, just after the first conversation it was apparent; we were absolutely perfect for each other. We spent countless nights Facetiming and filling each other in on our days, so much so that the hours would escape us. Viraj, being a busy medicine resident at the time, had then decided to plan a quick trip to NY, in order to take me out on our first date! We had spent that first date walking across the Brooklyn bridge, walking in central park, dinner in little Italy and lastly cupcakes at the top of the Empire State building. With such a magical first date, we both knew that we loved spending time with each other.
Since Viraj was the one who would constantly take trips to NY on his days off to visit me, it was then my turn to visit his hometown of Tampa, Fl. That day, Viraj had surprised me at the airport with a bouquet of roses and an adorable piece of paper that he had folded into quarters with a surprise detailed itinerary he had made for my four-day trip. It was then that I knew that he was the one because in addition to enjoying spending time with each other, we also loved being extremely thoughtful to each other."
On the romantic proposal:
"The day prior to the proposal was my medical school formal, to which I had asked Viraj to accompany me to. We had a blast as we always do together but during one of the dances they started to give out blinking light up rings. Viraj had playfully put one on my ring finger, which unknowingly to me, alluded to the next day. The next day Viraj had convinced me that he had a friend who wanted to take some pictures for their portfolio and wanted to use us in a photo shoot. We drove to a beautiful garden in NY, where Viraj walked me hand in hand to a location where my sister and father had helped set up prior to their arrival. As we walked to the most perfect spot, Viraj told me about the location and how it was a place where the estate owner had promised his fiancé at the time that they would spend their life there together. He then proceeded to get down on one knee to propose and my family came out to surprise me and the rest is history!"
On her wedding style:
"I just really love flowers and the color pink so most of the decor and colors revolved around that."
On her favorite wedding details:
"I loved my cake since it was decorated so well with such beautiful flowers. I also made the cake topper myself during part of my bachelorette party to give my wedding that special touch."
Come see another fantastic Indian wedding film here on Monday!
