You can tell that a wedding film is going to be exemplar when it begins with the bride’s father saying, “a father’s heart is unfathomable because it’s filled with an ocean of love.” We were SO thankful that we were hidden behind a screen while watching Saarika and Partha’s same day edit, because it literally moved us to tears. For this couple, Pacific Pictures was the perfect combination of a best friend and a godsend, and brought their story to life like no other. Saarika and Partha’s journey spanned over a year, and across the coast, starting with their engagement celebration in New York. “Their love story picked up in California with a gorgeous weekend of wedding festivities, and kicked off with a fun welcome dinner at Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa”, said Pacific Pictures in their blog post. Of course, it would not have been possible without Rose Events handling the planning, and Ajita Chopra Events coordinating on the day of. For her Sangeet, Saarika looked exquisite in a pastel floral ensemble, topped off with an organza embroidered dupatta. The finishing touch was just the right amount of spark through her silver jhumkas and a minimal maang tikka. Dolled up by Lulu further refined Saarika’s look with a deep mauve lip, and a chic, elegant updo. The next day, the ceremony commenced with a Baraat that overlooked the So-Cal coastline, and we loved how Partha carried off his brocade blush pink sherwani with so much élan! The procession made their way to the outdoor mandap at Pelican Hill, which was truly a work of art by Shawna Yamamoto. The ethereal, almost monumental-looking mandap was doused in white florals, and had rose gold touches through the chairs and antique displays. The floral chandelier overhead was a sight to behold! The podium had a runway-style aisle, and guests who were seated on either sides had the most spectacular view of both the mandap and the coast! The gazebo was later transformed to pave the way for a lavish outdoor reception where guests had a ball dancing under the stars to the beats of DJ Ajay Manaktala of Special Occasions!
