Time after time again, PhotosMadeEZ has proved to capture the most precious of moments ensuring that each moment is forever memorialized. New Jersey has seen a fair share of influx of Indian weddings in 2016 and at Maharani Weddings we have come to the realization that 2017 will be no different! No complaints here, we love our Jersey brides! Well, we are adding another new bride to our list of Maharanis with this Indian wedding celebration at the auspicious Hyatt Regency Princeton. The bride brought on premier makeup artist Sonia C to ensure that she was picture perfect for Mou Mukherjee who was busy snapping photos of the bride as she got ready to be carried in Maharani style on a gold palanquin to her pink carpet. Donning a bridal lengha infusing greens and reds amongst of bed of white; we adore this traditional nod to classic Bollywood design. Bridesmaids all wore fashionable, matching purple saris and I just love this color combo of the bridal party! Love was in the air as guests released colorful balloons into the air; creating a signature move to be treasured forever. The following event was the reception party, once again hosted at the Hyatt Regency Princeton and the bride reversed gears and slipped into a glittering gold and purple anarkali. The venue was filled with the sounds of M4 Events that was captured on point by PhotosMadeEZ who also photographed the event. Hit play Maharanis! P.S. The bride dishes the deets on the bottom of this post!
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We were set up to meet through a mutual family friend. He had gotten my number from a family member and texted me one day after I got home from work. Since then, we knew there was something there but didn't know exactly what it was until we met. We were only dating for three months before he proposed. During our second date, I knew he was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. It was so effortless to speak to him and I was able to be myself, full transparency with someone I only met twice.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
He took me to the first park we went to when he told me had loved me. He said we were meeting his friend and wife for lunch but they were running late so we should walk around the park. It was a beautiful day so he's like “let's ask someone to take a picture of us”. He stops someone walking by and told them he was going to propose and wants them to take a video of it. He walks over to me and I'm still thinking they are taking a picture so I'm fixing my hair for the photo and before you know it, he turns around on me and gets on one knee to propose. Just as I thought that was the only surprise of the day, he had all of my closest friends waiting for us at a gazebo to celebrate the special occasion.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Our overall wedding planning experience was a lot of fun. We split handling the vendors so this way we stayed focus on who we were staying in touch with. Our photographer was PhotosMadeEZ and it was such a pleasant experience to be working with them through the planning and post wedding. My hair and makeup artist was Sonia C and we absolutely made an instant connection the first time I went for my trial. She did a fabulous job on making sure I looked like a princess for all of my events.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I had a bright red in mind for my wedding outfit to keep it traditional and a pop of color. We went to India to shop for the outfit and as soon as I put it on, I knew it was the one.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the wedding planning process was the food tasting. On the day of the event, we got caught up with staying on schedule and we didn't get to enjoy all of the items we had laid out for our guests. This was the least stressful part, we enjoyed putting everyone's palettes on paper and designed a unique menu that resembles us.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The guests loved the food and the venue! We got married at the Hyatt regency in Princeton where it provided us with a great ballroom and cocktail hour area for the guests to enjoy themselves without feeling cramped. It was spacious and beautiful. Our caterer was Moghul and they delivered the top of the line food.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
During the Jaan, I was standing on the top floor overlooking everyone dancing and walking in. Out of nowhere, my husband and his cousins get into a formation to do a surprise dance for me. I still replay that moment in my mind till this date. The thought, planning and love that he put into this just left me speechless.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
On the day of the wedding, don't let anything get to you. Don't worry about your timeline and all the vendors delivering what you discussed. Delegate to close family members to ensure that everything will be handled on the day of so that you can remain calm and focused on remembering every moment of your special day.
The garba night was a special one for this Maharani as she danced to the beats of Medley Entertainment! Definitely one for the books! Make sure you return tomorrow as we unveil another stellar Indian affair!
