We're in such a good mood after watching this uplifting fusion wedding film by the incredible Juddy Productions, featuring the gorgeous couple of Tanika & Nativo. We can't wait to see the photographs captured from the festivities by the amazing talents at JSK Photography. This couple is obviously so in love and very excited to be married. Adorable Raja Nativo had a huge smile on his face the entire video, which makes us so happy to witness! Meanwhile, Maharani Tanika was a stunning bombshell throughout the festivities, in perfectly applied makeup by Marlyn Valencia and glamorous hair by The Secret Brush. All planning and design were impeccably executed by KIS Cubed Events, with every event perfectly planned to showcase the traditions and love between the couple. Flowers by Edgar provided the floral and decor, and both the ceremony and reception were truly stunning affairs! The ceremony held on the outdoor grounds of the Dolce Hayes Mansion was so full of joy and beauty. The reception, held in the ballroom of the Dolce Hayes Mansion, was breathtaking, and was transformed into a lavender dreamland, filled with decadent crystals, draping, floral centerpieces, and candles. We adored witnessing how much Tanika and Nativo's family love them during the speeches, and cheered when the couple and their guests took over the dance floor. Jhakaas Entertainment did a fantastic job of creating a festive mood, with an amazing rainbow light show and amazing beats! Guests raved about the mouthwatering meal from Jalsa Catering and the out of this world cake from Jen’s Cakes. We wish the newlyweds so much happiness as they embark on their new journey together! Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
We were actually having a "small" birthday BBQ for Nativo. As I looked around, all of my closest friends and family were there. After champagne was passed around, out of nowhere he made a lovely speech and got down on one knee in front of all my close family and proposed. It was so special to me since my mom got to see him do that as she was unfortunately sick. It makes me happy she got got to see how happy we were. It was such a great proposal! I'll never forget it! :)
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I knew planning a wedding with 300 guests would be a lot of work! Luckily I had amazing friends to help me, and family all the way from the U.K. to help get everything together. If it wasn't for them I would have been a mess! The Hayes Mansion gave me a list of their preferred vendors. To make it simple, I used most of them as their work was spectacular. I also had a day of coordinater which made it simple. My decorator Edgar was such a delight to work with, and my other vendors made my dream wedding come to real life. It was truly a fairytale wedding for me and my husband.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
My aunt and cousins took me shopping in London for my outfit. We went to The Asian Bridal Expo and spent the day there. Luckily I fell in love with one of their designs and made a few alterations to make it more unique and my style. I knew I wanted red and gold to keep it more traditional. It was absolutely breathtaking! And also very heavy!
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I would say the shopping for my outfits and also picking out the reception decor. I think as a young girl you always have a idea of how your dream wedding will be. So picking out the colors, flowers, mandap designs, and centerpieces was very fun! Especially when you have so many beautiful choices to pick from.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
A majority of them were non-Indians watching a Indian ceremony for the first time and they loved everyone's outfits and all the bright colors. We also had a photo booth which was a hit, a gelato bar, and a mariachi band which I surprised my husband with - and the food was amazing!
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
My husband gave me my mother's wedding ring when we did our first look. He replaced the diamond that was missing and gave it to me as a surprise. I will never forget that and now I wear it everyday - it's very special to me.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Someone told me to take a moment and just look around at all your guests as they are enjoying their time. I did that and now have a vision of everyone's smiles and laughter and it has really stuck with me!
So adorable. Have a fantastic weekend Maharanis! We'll see you all on Monday!
