Our moods were instantly lifted after watching the beautiful San Diego Muslim wedding film of Moniza and Afeef by Aperina Studios. The festivities were jam packed and totally romantic, beginning with an oceanfront first look ceremony between the radiant lovebirds. Though the beach side vibe at the gorgeous Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina was relaxed, the couple went full glam with their bridal looks! We’re such fans of Maharani Moniza’s petal pink gown, side swept updo and dewy makeup by Victoria G Hair Design and Farhana Baig. We loved how her angelic lehenga popped so beautifully against the crystal clear water! After the couple took their sacred vows, Moniza, Afeef, and their guests glided indoors to the reception extravaganza, decorated to dazzling effect by Concepts Event Design and Gaslamp Floral, with seamless planning by Hannah Smith Events. We teared up at the lovely speeches - It is obvious that this duo are so loved! Guests had the time of their lives dancing to euphoric music while waves crashed in the background. It was so much fun to see the couple rock out to their favorite songs. And did we mention that the couple arranged for a Taco Truck and Churro Truck for their guests? How creative and delicious! Description of the Day from the Photographers:
The Muslim wedding of Afeef and Moniza was an incredible celebration. The day started off peacefully, as Aperina Studios cinematographers tried to capture some venue shots from above with the drone. However, the seagulls from the San Diego coast had their own agenda and didn't appreciate a drone flying around in their territory. They attacked Aperina Studios' drone and left some "souvenirs" on the cinematographers and the drone itself as a way to remember them by! Nevertheless, the video team was able to capture some beautiful cinematic opening shots for the film, with the seagulls acting as foreground objects that actually made the shots more beautiful!
Overall, the entire day was beautiful and full of love. The ceremony, held outside at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, was elegant and romantic, and incorporated traditional Muslim culture. The reception was full of laughter, joy, music, and of course, delicious food. Afeef and Moniza wanted to do something different for their wedding menu, so they hired a taco truck for cocktail hour and a churro food truck for dessert, instead of a traditional wedding cake. These bold menu choices just reflect the fun personalities of the bride and groom and reveal the uniqueness of their wedding day. This Muslim wedding of Afeef and Moniza was definitely a day to remember.
So pretty! See you all tomorrow with another fab film!
