Happy Wednesday, Maharanis! I'm dancing in my seat reliving Chandini & Angad's wedding weekend beautifully captured by Channa Photography. Our couple held a lively sangeet at the Akbar Restaurant decorated by Stylish Events with such vivid colors that you can't help but to be in a party mood. Dj Raj Minocha kept everyone dancing and celebrating as one big family! Maharani Chandini evoques a true Bollywood princess with flawless makeup by Mirror and You and every outfit selection is one for the books, take note maharanis! Raja Angad looks so handsome in a velvet burgundy sherwani with delicate golden embroidery, such a stylish couple! All the events were perfectly orchestrated by Chandai Events and everything ran smoothly. Giorgio’s Baiting Hollow was the venue of choice to hold a luxury wedding reception where Jay Dabhi Entertainment kept everyone in the dance floor all night! The couple surprised all the guests with a choreographed first dance and emotional family dances. How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met him when I decided to "third wheel" my best friend and her boyfriend in NYC. In one night, we exchanged a few words and there was so much chemistry. I knew right away that something about this person intrigued me, kept me on my toes, and challenged me. That's when I knew he was the one.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
He took me to Nice, France after introducing me to his grandparents in England. We went to a beautiful restaurant along the French Riviera, in which then he got on his knees and asked me to be his wife.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We worked closely with each other, our families, and our vendors to make sure our vision comes alive. However, we learned that we cannot be perfectionists. Wedding planning can be tough at times. We just promised each other to not let a small glitch ruin our special time. And because of that attitude, we enjoyed every part of it. We really enjoyed each and every one of our vendor's presence and appreciated everything they brought to the table.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I went to The Mall At Oak Tree Road. My best friend was getting married in India, so I didn't get a chance to go to India twice for the full bridal shopping experience. However, I didn't regret it one bit. Chirag, the owner of the Mall at Oak Tree Road, gave me the pleasure to meet with Falguni from Falguni Shane Peacock. She was luckily in town that weekend. She was so friendly and made all my visions come to life. I knew exactly what I wanted. She knew it and made sure it happened.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Every part of it. I love wedding planning. I would do anything to go back!
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
My DJ. Every party needs a DJ to get you dancing on (or off) your feet! Dj Jay Dhabi and MC Kaz made sure there was no dull moment.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Our reception after party that took place at our reception venue (Giorgio's Baiting Hollow). This was the most stress-free moment. Everything was done. I could finally wear flip flops and just dance like nobody is watching! One of our friends played Punjabi music while we chomped down on sliders, mac n cheese, and fries. It's the simple moments that always remain the most special!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
As much as your wedding may be perfect, things will go differently than you expected or planned. Who cares!!!! You are still marrying the person you love. This opportunity usually only comes once, so ENJOY IT TO THE FULLEST!!!
