How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met him through one of my best friends 3 years ago in NYC....and the rest, as they say, is history!
I knew pretty early on Rohun was the one, as cliche as it sounds, when you know, you know!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Rohun was visiting me one weekend in February (we were long distance). He told me we were going down to Dumbo (one of our favorite spots) to meet up with his friend Josh for dinner. I didn't think anything of this because a) we love Dumbo b) we were supposed to meet Josh for NYE when Rohun was in town last time, but we didn't. When we got to Dumbo, he said that Josh is not here yet so let's go by the water to get some pictures. I then proceeded to get a picture of the skyline (for snapchat of course), then Rohun and I took a selfie. After these two photos, I was ready to go inside the restaurant because it was freezing-NYC in February-hello!! At this point, my heels are digging into the rocks and I said let's go back to the boardwalk, why are we still here?! As I said this and turned around to Rohun, he was down on one knee!! I was in absolute shock, I'm pretty sure I said "SHUTTUP!!" when he was down there. After Rohun asked me to be his wife, and I said YES! a photographer was there taking our pictures! But the best part was, both of our families were there to witness the entire thing. My family flew in from Michigan (I had no idea) His family flew out from Houston (I had no idea). It was a great day filled with love and family that I won't ever forget

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Since Rohun & I were long distance, we knew we wanted our engagement to be short. We looked up every possible wedding venue on Long Island & Manhattan. We fell in love with Carlyle on the Green and they had a date in August, and we said, "that's it". Then going into Manhattan we instantly fell in love with the ambiance and views at The Midtown Loft & Terrace and knew this was the one, now please let them have a date in August, and they did it! We locked down venues in just two weeks. I knew I wanted GlowbyAffan to do my makeup because he had done one of my best friends makeup just last year, and it was fab-it was an easy choice! I went to Pakistan to get my bridals, Faraz Manan was the reason for my trip-went to his showroom saw all the beautiful outfits and it made it pretty easy to pick my bridal. I knew for the Mehndi I wanted to do a colorful theme, and desi at the same time, I love the way the hot pink and yellow looked together, along with views of NYC. For the baraat day at Carlyle, my designer, Angella helped my vision come true. I wanted a beautiful, romantic, classy look with flowers, and that is exactly what I got, honestly- this was easy!  I basically did everything! Rohun was only involved in picking the venues and food-go figure!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I knew I wanted Faraz Manan to design my wedding dress. When I went into his showroom and saw all the beautiful work-it was easy. We talked about color, necklines, the train. His staff was so great and got me even more excited for my baraat dress. So great that I ended up getting a really cool outfit for my Walima too from him!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
I think our guests loved the food, the views of NYC and the outdoor cocktail hour at our reception venue.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
My dad's speech, it made me and everyone in the room cry!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Have fun while planning the wedding-EVERYTHING always falls into place on the day of, don't worry! And don't forget to enjoy your day and maybe eat before, because you may not eat at the event!

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
My jewelry was an easy pick too. As soon as I got my bridals, and went to Neemar for jewels, they found me the perfect match!
