So, dolls, time to get comfortable and hit play below because today's filmy thanks to Epique Cinema is everything you want out of a Maharani experience.
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met in college in 2012 at the dorm we both stayed at. I knew he was the one in May 2016 when we took our graduation trip to Chicago.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
I planned a trip to LA with my cousin and a few friends. We were departing from Dallas Love Field at 6 am and little did I know Sunny was also departing from DFW Airport that same morning to surprise me in LA. We got to the room to freshen up and my cousin went downstairs to “make a call.” To my surprise, he came back upstairs with Sunny!! I was so happy for him to be there. Then we went to Griffith Observatory to see the view of the LA skyline. As I was admiring the view, Sunny was behind me preparing to propose. When I turned around, I saw him on one knee and he asked me to marry him. Of course I said YES!!!
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the A. Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Overall, the planning went smoothly. Of course, there were bound to be some hiccups; but, with the vendors I chose, there was no reason for me to worry.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I sketched it out and had a designer make it in Delhi.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
My favorite part was decor because it’s the part where you get to see your dream wedding come to life with all the colors, props, and elegance.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The guests loved dancing and how amazing everything was planned and coordinated.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
After the priest pronounced Sunny and me husband and wife, Sunny gave me a kiss on the forehead. He is not exactly the most affectionate so for him to do that in front of 1,000 people must’ve been hard but it was the sweetest gesture.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Everything was exactly the way I have always pictured it. Wouldn’t change a thing!!
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Try your best not to stress. Enjoy every moment because it’s not going to come back.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, A. mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
My henna had the London and Windsor skylines as he was born in Canada and I was born in England. The henna also had UTA written in it as that is where we met.
More to come in a bit! Don't go anywhere!
