Atlanta, GA Gujarati Wedding by Derek Wintermute Photo

It's reel day, loves! We have a beautiful day for a beautiful reel! Long story short, Jenika and Shivam's parents served as marriage scouts and matchmakers. The duo met in the USA, and sparks flew! They decided to take the plunge and planned a big traditional Gujarati wedding involving more than 300 guests! Wedding expert Derek Wintermute Photography waved a series of lovely clips of their union that turned into a beautiful highlight reel. Four days of traditions, family, and dance, including a ceremony and reception at the luxury Westin Atlanta Perimeter North were part of the elaborate affair. Utopian Events designed the decor for the main days creating the perfect ambiance for both events. The aisle lit up with candles added a touch of romance and infused the ceremony spot with soft pink shades and blooms. Jenika also walked the wedding aisle in pink! She planned a spectacular look along with Shiya's Glamour, who draped her AsoPalav bridal ensemble and transformed her into a real-life Maharani using their expert skills. Shivam also made a striking statement decked in a Jade Blue pastel pink Sherwani and a Nordstrom blue suit for his reception. A night bash followed the wedding. Here, Jenika twirled in a silver lehenga and danced the night away with Shivam to DJ Bobby's music beat. At the same time, the couple's closest family and friends surprised them with dance performances! Watch these special moments captured frame by frame in the reel below. Scroll down and click to reproduce!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I knew he was "the one" the moment I laid my eyes on him. The conversations I had with him made me comfortable and gave me a positive vibe. I immediately knew I wanted to share life's best experiences with him.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Our decor theme was floral with pink and white flowers. It gave off a fresh frangrance and overall positive vibe inside the ballroom.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I did have a color in mind; it was pastels. I wanted my color to look different as I also did customize color. All my wedding shopping wear is done online by doing a video call. I also look for so many designer outfits. I got it from Asopalav in Ahmedabad.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The something that  tied our whole wedding week together. Seeing everyone's faces up and enjoying themselves. We have never had so much fun!
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
They enjoyed the overall vibe the decorations created and delicious food at all the events. The dance floor at the reception was also very active and the crowd was engaged with all the performances by friends and family.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
When my husband and I exchanged garlands and we were doing our pheras.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Enjoy the process as it is truly a lifetime experience.

Cinnaminson, NJ Indian Wedding by Studio KSD

Good morning, Maharanis! It is reel day, and we are delighted to release the beautiful highlight video of Nija and Ketan's elegant nuptials in New Jersey. The pair asked Studio KSD to capture and film their best wedding moments, and the stunning visuals are pure magic! I am sure this film will take your breath away. Indian culture and festivities came together at The Merion, and their unique Skylight Ballroom was the setting for their grand ceremony. Natural light bathed the wedding rituals thanks to the majestic glass dome that crowned the open round mandap created by All Event Decorators. After the I do's, Nija and Ketan concluded their wedding celebrations with an upscale reception party enlivened by DJ BK from Luxe Event Group from Luxe Event Group, during which their dearest and nearest took the mic and delivered touching toasts and speeches for the newlyweds! EC Spin 360 entertained the guests and created memories with a 360 selfie booth while Mr. Paanwala provided a delicious Paan station for the partygoers! I absolutely adore the couple's fashion. Nija was the ultimate Maharani thanks to the glam touch of Beauty by Jasbina and Mehndi artists Aneeta Nashad. She flaunted a show-stopping floral ensemble and opted for an elegant white lehenga with sparkly work for her final event. While Ketan also went for a white-off Sherwani suit that he completed with a mint scarf for the ceremony and looked sharp in a tuxedo from Nazranaa at the reception. The entire soiree was planned without a worry, thanks to Posh Kreations, who created a personalized celebration and masterfully executed all the details from start to end! Check the reel below and let Nija and Ketan's film inspire your wedding day!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met the new traditional way. Ketan actually knew I was the one first and told me so during one of our first dates. From the very beginning, we just “clicked” and on our first date, we talked for literal hours! He’s always so open, honest, and steady! I knew he was the one because of how safe and comfortable he made me feel. I can be as goofy as I want and he’s right there with me!

It was during the pandemic, so he told me to dress up and come over for a dinner. Smart move because I had been WFH and my normal attire would have been leggings and a sweatshirt! When I came over, he took me out to the back patio and it was so beautifully decorated with candles and flower petals everywhere! My favorite song was playing too when we walked out and our closest friends and family were hiding on the side. After he proposed, they all shouted congratulations and we had champagne and celebrated from a distance since it was early in the pandemic. It was such a wonderful moment and one that I will cherish forever!
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We got married at The Merion in the skylight ballroom! I have loved that ballroom since I was a guest at a wedding there many years ago and always had it in the back of my mind. Ketan and I went to go see it and he instantly fell in love with it too! Once that was finalized, our decor and clothing all revolved around that. I knew I wanted an outdoor rose garden theme for the wedding to complement the beautiful dome in the ballroom. For the evening, I always envisioned an elegant black tie cocktail theme and we added greenery and candles to tie in both the wedding and reception together. Our decorator did such an amazing job with both!
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I knew from the beginning that I didn’t want a traditional red dress. Since we were having a rose garden theme wedding, I wanted something that would complement it. We found my dress at the last shop and it was perfect! White with all the spring/summer floral colors. We decided to coordinate both families' outfits, with my family in light pink and Ketan’s family in light green. So many guests complimented us on how well the coordination was and how beautiful the whole family looked together!

Leesburg, VA Indian Wedding by Villatoro Productions

Most high school crushes don't last, but Aanchal and Neel is a love story that stands the test of time. They met while Aanchal was a Freshman and Neel was a Sophomore and have been together since then! After a surprise flash mob proposal and Covid pushing their wedding date almost a year later, the wait finally culminated in a big wedding spree! Aananya by ZK helped the couple through the entire process and together created every last detail for each event following the couple's vision. These details included the splendid decor Liz Decorations created for the outdoor ceremony. The plethora of pretty hues and gorgeous flowers contributed to the space's spring and bright feeling. Raja Neel surprised the crowd by riding one of the stunning white horses of Olde Towne Carriages for his Baraat. At the same time, Aanchal amazed her Raja and her guests, looking like an authentic Maharani. An exquisite red lehenga and a beautiful flower bun by Hair by Mim comprised her trousseau, while a bespoke bridal mehndi by Bhavna's Henna embellished her arms and feet! She picked an elegant lehenga set in her favorite color for her reception, and Malia's Makeup Artistry elevated the look with flawless makeup! At the culmination of their extravaganza at Lansdowne Resort & Spa, the couple treated their guests to a beautiful confection specially created for the occasion by Girl Meets Cake and entertained the partygoers with Platinum Roadshow. At the same time, SVPDJ added some shine to the decor with their fabulous lighting! Villatoro Productions did an extraordinary job filming all the steps that led these two to their big day, and we couldn't hold ourselves from sharing this charming highlight film! Click below and get inspired!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
My husband and I met when we were in high school. I was a Freshman and he was a Sophomore. We were both in the same Spanish class and our teacher assigned our seats to be next to each other because she said “she saw the spark”. We began dating the following semester and have been together now for 12 years! I knew he was the one when he was there for me through thick and thin and stuck around through it all.

My older sister told me her fiancé had an award ceremony in DC that we all were going to attend. The weekend before the “award ceremony”, my mom, 2 sisters, and I went shopping for our outfits. The day of the proposal, my family and I got ready together and we headed to the Georgetown waterfront. As I was walking down the beautiful steps of the waterfront I reflected on how beautiful of a day it was and how gorgeous the water looked. As I made my way around the fountain and up the stairs closer to the water, I see a group of people in a formation. Next thing I know, music plays and a flash mob is occurring right before my eyes. Midway into the performance my then soon-to-be fiancé made his way from the back of the group to the front and at the end of the amazing dance, he took my hand, brought me by the water, and popped the question in front of our closest family and friends!
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
It was difficult planning a wedding during Covid and having to postpone our plans. A lot of my shopping was done online, including dresses, jewelry, and accessories. Luckily we have a dream team of vendors that we used previously for our engagement party, so we wanted to keep with the same team for the most part for the wedding! We also worked with Saumil Parikh from SVP Entertainment, who is a close family friend, and he guided us through a lot of the process.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Pinterest was my savior! I was able to pick up on colors and styles that really suited my personality and found a great vendor through Etsy to buy my wedding dress. I knew I wanted to go traditional red for the ceremony and had to throw in teal at some point because it’s my favorite color! So I chose a bold teal to wear for the reception.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part was by far being able to plan with my best friend of a husband! He was not a laid back groom, he made sure to involve himself and give his opinions! Which worked really well for me because I’m so indecisive. He also used to DJ and event plan so he brought a lot of great thoughts to the planning process. Aside from that I’d have to say I individually loved planning out the decor and making my sketches of each event come to life through the colors we chose!
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
I think they really loved how we made each event OURS. We adapted traditions to what represented us and we involved our wedding party who we love so much to really be apart of our wedding events. I think that brought a wholesome feeling that really filled the room.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The first looks! I had 3 first looks, first with the groomsmen, then with the rest of the wedding party and family, and finally with my husband to be. The momentum grew perfectly leading up to the most awaited moment of my life, to see my groom see me as his bride. It was such a unique thing we did and I loved that it played out that way.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
We used Liz Decorations for all of our decor and she went above and beyond! We really wanted each event to have a different look and feel from the other. We wanted the mehendi to be fun and vibrant, while the garba having a traditional and musical feel to it. We wanted the ceremony to have a romantic simpler look with a contrast of the reception to be grand and elegant. And Liz executed all of these visions so beautifully!
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Plan ahead as much as you can and make to do lists! You can’t account for everything, but you don’t want to feel stressed out leading up to your big day (because the nerves will kick in anyway!). We have a lot of time to plan, especially with postponing our wedding date. I know that won’t be the case for every bride and groom, so use the time that you have efficiently by making monthly to do tasks. Also, definitely hire a wedding day coordinator! This literally saved my life and I could not be more thankful for Aananya!
To all the brides- don’t forget to keep aside moments for you and your groom to take a breath and capture what’s happening around you. It’s going to go by so fast, and you’ll want to sink it in while it’s all there in front of you.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
My wedding day jewelry was bought from Evotique (located in CA, but they work over video calls as well)! Our amazing cake was done by Girl Meets Cake- Misty was so lovely to work with and she really takes the feedback to make you the most delicious cakes with the best flavor combos! Bhavna’s Henna did my mehendi and she incorporated the story of us starting from high school through where we live in the DMV- her art is amazing! We are so thankful for all of our vendors to get us through the highs and lows of wedding planning!

Sarish & Alishan's Atlanta Ismaili Wedding by Hakim's Studio

A beautiful highlight reel for an equally gorgeous couple! Sarish and Alishan embraced their roots and traditions during their wedding spree alongside their family and friends. Talented Hakim's Studio had the privilege of capturing this wedding from start to end and has rounded up some of the best moments in a highlight video we unveiled today. Showing an array of fun-filled moments, this beautiful Ismaily union started with traditional functions that included a super feminine Mehndi ceremony and a fun Haldi function. While the most exciting pre-wedding celebration occurred at the exclusive Hilton Atlanta Northeast, their breathtaking western ceremony was a peaceful and romantic event inside a massive farmhouse. Next on the agenda was the Ismaili union. They kept this ceremony to immediate family but later, they would leave their guests with spectacular memories during their lavish reception. The newlyweds celebrated their love and the unity of the two families again a the fabulous Hilton Atlanta Northeast with a great feast provided by Asma's Catering and the Bollywood beats by M1 Sounds! The Event Designer decked up the festive spot, and Music Matters Productions provided the light ambiance. I love how they crafted and customized every detail of the celebrations to perfection! Maharani Sarish and Alishan leave us in awe, wearing a fabulous array of jaw-dropping couture! Sarish's white ceremony outfits particularly draw me. Both are so different, yet they represent so much beauty in her. Congratulations on crafting such unique wedding events! Want to see more photography from this wedding? Every wedding is a big event, and no big Indian wedding spree is complete without video proof! Such is the case for Priya and Bhavik's wedding! This traditional Indian bash deserved to be documented by a true wedding film expert. Thankfully, SR Photo Films' style fitted perfectly with the couple's vision. The fabulous Events by Hala crew planned to perfection all the events that started with an exciting Sangeet function at the magnificent Sheraton McKinney. Next in the wedding timeline, the ceremony was an autumnal dream! Our sweet exchanged vows at the enchanting Avalon Legacy Ranch amidst acres of wooded coves and a rustic ambiance. Priya made a statement on her big day with a fabulous bridal ensemble draped and styled by Ms. Painted Lady. Who also glammed up our Maharani with floral hair accessories that added romance to her bridal outfit. Bhavik arrived at the ceremony accompanied by the sounds of DJ Riz Entertainment's dhol drums, who also provided the fantastic music that enlivened the reception! One more time, these lovebirds headed to the Sheraton McKinney for their last function and led the crowd to a great space tastefully decorated by Elegant Affairs. Scroll down and take a sneak peek at this cinematic wedding story right now!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met Bhavik through a dating app. I knew he was the one after he came to visit me in Dallas at the time from Arkansas. His calm nature and being a secret, silly jokester made me fall for him hard! He just has this ease to him that I absolutely love so much. On the last day before he headed back to Arkansas we laughed so much, I knew I wanted to hold on to those laughs for a lifetime. We ended up doing long distance up until the wedding and while it was tough we managed to make the greatest memories from the moments we were able to see each other. I just knew I didn't want to let this man go.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
The proposal occurred on May 23rd, 2020. It was the year of covid as everyone knows. I was graduating with my Master's Degree and everything for my school became virtual towards the end of the year. I didn't want to go back to campus for Graduation because it was going to be virtual however my whole family including Bhavik really wanted me to go back. They mentioned it is an opportunity of a lifetime to be back at Grad School and soak in the moments during graduation time on campus. Low and behold I thought I was getting graduation pictures done and got ready to go. The picture session turned into a proposal. Bhavik took me to the Sekrit Theater in Austin and proposed in a remote greenhouse. It was an absolute surprise and beyond beautiful. The local family came and we ended the night with a surprise Zoom call with close family and friends. It was an absolutely magical day and loved everything Bhavik had planned out. After the proposal, my sweet sister and brother-in-law planned a proposal backyard surprise party with friends the next day back at their house. It was amazing!
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
The overall wedding planning was a whirlwind year due to covid. What made it at ease was our family support and our amazing wedding planner, Hala. She took care of all the details when it came to the final days. All our vendors were absolutely amazing and everything went so smoothly with the agenda we had aligned for the full weekend.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
My bridal lengha was a custom lengha I had made from Binari Art in Atlanta. My sister-in-law used her when she got married and loved her work. She had recommended I reach out to her. Ranisha Patel, the founder of Binari, created my vision and did so via Zoom. I didn't even have to go in for a fitting, she made the virtual process so simple and it turned out exactly like the sketches.
My reception outfit was from Studio Dallas, Divya is just a perfectionist, and loved seeing her entire collection. I was able to pick the perfect gown that I was looking for in a color I never thought about.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The cake tasting! Due to Bhavik being in medical school and his busy schedule at the time, I ended up going with my Dad. It was such a fun experience to taste different flavors of cake and learn about the baking process. It is a memory I will always cherish!
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
It looked like our guests really enjoyed the reception, the music was fab and it felt like a party that everyone enjoyed! An unforgettable night!
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
A special moment for me was when my nephew and Bhavik's niece walked down the aisle first before the rest of our family members. I will never forget that moment and how special it is to me.
Walking down the aisle for any bride is so beyond special, I was able to walk down the aisle with my Dad which meant so much to me. Seeing Bhavik's smile the whole time during the ceremony and reception melted my heart, love that man so much!
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Sangeet we went with hues of yellow, orange, and red. Wanted to keep it vibrant and light with the music. It wasn't too formal and lots of Bollywood dancing!
For the Reception, we wanted to bring the rustic theme indoors with a custom-made wooden stage backdrop that had a hint of Indian flare. The tile was like a piece in the middle, white and green as accent color florals and dimly lit lanterns were all a part of the decor. Loved how that turned out!
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
My words of wisdom - enjoy it as much as possible. I know it can be very stressful but just know it WILL zoom by. Listen to what you and your better half would like and be as organized as you can be! Label everything! And don't forget to enjoy and have fun with all the people that do attend from various walks of both of your lives. It's such a memorable and special weekend for the couple.

Mesmerizing Indian wedding celebrations every day!  Look for more inspiration tomorrow.
