Charlottesville, VA Wedding by Whiddon Productions

Welcome back, Maharanis! Today we want to shine light on Swathi & Sumit’s wedding video, thoughtfully documented by cinematographer Whiddon Productions. They did a marvelous job zooming in on what truly matters on any wedding day: love! Our groom mastered riding a beautiful, white horse at the baraat, dressed in red and glittery gold, and delivered by Harmons Carriages. Another fine detail is the multi-colored umbrellas, which guests were using to shade for the beaming sun. The wedding guests were a mix of nationalities and everyone seemed to enjoy participating in the Indian wedding rituals. The ceremony was romantically taking place on a scenic field centered around a divine mandap! If you are searching for inspiration, take a good look at this love boat. Bride Swathi looked like a dream wearing a classic red and gold lehenga. Detailed henna tattoos covering her hands, white flowers decorating her dark hair, and a beautiful golden ear-piece stood out as elegant and unique symbols of beauty. We know how important hair and makeup are to any bride and The Spot Beauty Shop could take pride in creating a picturesque and stunning look. For the reception, our bride changed into a bright pink lehenga coated with tiny mirrors. If your groom is watching the video with you, he should also pay extra attention to the stylish groom! The reception as well as the ceremony were held at King Family Vineyards and after viewing the video, we definitely feel like paying them a visit! Thumbs up to wedding planner Colleen Miller Events who organized a masterpiece of a wedding. Floral and decor was professionally created by M Henry Design, the garlands were made by Vivek Flowers, and lighting setup by Blue Ridge Lighting. Food was catered by Bollywood Bistro and Dynasty AV & Entertainment took care of the audio atmosphere. The unique rented items were retrieved from Paisley & Jade and Liz Decorations and linens were delivered by MS Events. A & A Limo made sure transportation was on point and Tom Daly Photography was hired to capture the wedding photos. Now, please enjoy the wedding video of the loving couple created by Whiddon Productions. We are pretty sure you will love it as much as we do!

Did you notice the tiny, adorable dog wearing a blue dress?

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

Vinit had been planning our proposal for a VERY long time (as we were together for 7 years!!). It was supposed to be a girls weekend in Chicago, my home town. Vinit said he was going to go to New York the same weekend. Turns out, he was in Chicago as well! We were going to "brunch", but ended up stopping to take pictures along the lake, which looks towards the Chicago skyline. When we went to take pictures by the water, Vinit was standing there with flowers and a ring. We took pictures for a while and ended up by all of the boats. Vinit had booked a yacht for a few hours, and EVERYONE was there from all over the country (about 50 people). After that, they planned a dinner at one of the first restaurants Vinit and I had ever gone to in Chicago. It was absolutely one of the BEST weekends ever.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I wanted to sway away from the "all red" lengha for the wedding. I still wanted to be traditional, so I decided to have more white in the outfit. For the reception, I wanted to stick with the peacock theme, so I chose purple and gold for my outfit.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

Most of the guests were from New York and Chicago. They absolutely loved that they got to make the wedding into a beach vacation. Most guests said our wedding was very unique, since a lot of it was held by the water.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

There were two really special moments during the wedding. The first was when I surprised Vinit with a dance during the sangeet. The look on his face was priceless!! The second was during the reception. There was a surprise dance for me! My sister had put together a dance with ALL of our friends from all across the country to "sunshine in my pocket". Vinit was in the dance as well.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.

We wanted the Sangeet night to be a relaxing vibe. We had couches with pillows on the sand for our guests to lounge. The whole Sangeet was VERY colorful. The event was held outside, so the sunset was absolutely beautiful. For the reception, we had a peacock colored theme. Everything was mostly green, blue and purple.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

Enjoy the planning process! I know it can be stressful at times, but go according to your own style. Also, let your hubby to be have some insight on choosing a few things! They'll feel appreciated.

Excuse us while we hit replay! Such a beautiful wedding film.

Whippany, New Jersey Indian Wedding by Luminance Wedding Films

“The Happiest People Don’t Have the Best of Everything, They Make the Best of Everything.” I absolutely love this statement that begins the love journey of Maharani Reshma and Anil. Throughout this short cinematic experience, the on screen love just jumps off the screen! No Indian bride would be complete without the perfect bridal squad and Bridal Gal was there each step of the way to make sure that Reshma was picture perfect for all the amazing images captured by Sachi Anand Photography. Mehndi by Monika further beautified the bride with further glam. Yummy catering was dished out by Aashirwad Palace on the festive sangeet night that kicked off the festivities. Chand Palace accommodated all the delish Indian cuisine for the rest of the events. The signature trademark of Prashe Decor was evident throughout the Birchwood Manor. Platinum Dream Events designed the perfect blueprint of a fairytale wedding with all of the planning and design. This gorgeous highlight was captured with elegance by Luminance Wedding Films. Hit play and check out our special feature here!
