Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

This is one for the books so prepare yourself. April 16th, 2015. I woke up 6am that morning knowing I had to drop my best friend (my matron of honor) to the JFK airport, and the only reason I agreed to do this is because Sandy is literally the only person I would wake up that early for. My Mom and Dad somewhat rushing me out of the house because they didn't want me to be late in picking up Sandy which was odd but I didn't think too much of it. I picked up Sandy with her luggage on our drive to the airport she was texting on her phone the entire time and I asked what was going and she made up some story that she was fighting with her husband to distract me. We pull up curbside to the drop off area, I get out of the car to help her with her luggage and suddenly I feel someone turn me around and it was Mike! He went down on one knee and as he did it, I saw all my parents, his parents family and friends come out through the terminal gate doors all with their phone cameras in their hands and I was in complete shock. He proposed and I literally couldn't speak, and just nodded yes. Sandy handed me her luggage and said this is for you. It wasn't just a proposal but a surprise engagement getaway to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for 3 days. When I left my house that morning Mike and my closest girlfriends when into my house to with my mom to pack some clothes and things I would need for my trip. Here I thought I was just going to work. It was the perfect proposal and I literally had no clue. You know a girl is surprised when her nails aren't done and makeup isn't on. Mike really thought about everything. He got permission from my parents and even called me job and my supervisor to ensure it was okay to whisk me away for couple of days. Aside from our wedding days, it was one of the best moments of my life.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

The most enjoyable part of our planning was realizing that Mike was not the typical groom but definitely a partner. Planning and vision was definitely a joint effort and gave me an example of how our marriage would be; a true partnership.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

I felt our guests definitely loved all the dance performances but the Hindu wedding and the feeling that they were in actual Bollywood movie at times and really just enjoying themselves at the wedding. Most of our families are still talking about it.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

Well it was more so two special moments...being carried in my dholi and then being able to walk down the aisle and both times just focusing on Mike seeing how genuinely happy he was... it wasn't just in his smile but you could see it in his eyes as well. I'll never forgot that.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

Forgot about trying to be "different" and just build a vision that works for both you and your future husband/partner. Once your wedding week begins don't stress when things are perfect but know it always just works itself out. The days go by so quickly so try to take in every moment you can... together.

We can't stop cooing over this darling couple and their beautiful love story! See you tomorrow with another fabulous wedding film!

Atlanta, GA Wedding by Christopher Brock Photography

From beginning to end, this wedding was pure euphoria. A joyous sangeet kicked things off, followed by the most epic haldi ceremony we’ve ever seen. This film by Christopher Brock Photography was full of classic moments! Trust us, you definitely don’t want to miss the haldi event of Sabrina and Faizan. Faizan was in goggles to protect himself, and his male friends/family members were in full hazmat suits while they pummeled him with chocolate syrup/whipped cream/ketchup. So fun (and delicious)! This wedding was the perfect blend of Eastern and Western traditions and was planned seamlessly by the organization geniuses at Urvashi Mishra, Wedding & Event Planner. We adored watching the Bollywood dances at the sangeet, and Sabrina & Faizan definitely agreed, as they bopped along with wide smiles throughout the program. We then witnessed a serene outdoor wedding ceremony at Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center, adorned in white drapings by Events in Style By Beenish that added a calming effect to the festivities. As Sabrina made her grand entrance in her pristine white gown and hair and makeup by Kristen White Imagery and Whitney Olivia, Faizan couldn’t look away from her beauty! We teared up listening to the meaningful vows during the couple’s ceremony. We thought it was such a cute touch when the newlyweds posed with “Mr.” and “Mrs.” props when they were announced as husband and wife! We can’t wait to see all the wedding photographs by Christopher Brock Photography! The festivities also included a fun-filled reception with gourmet food by Cafe Bombay Catering and energizing music by Luxury Lounge. Check out the video below for more precious moments between this darling couple!

We hope you loved the film as much we did! We'll see you all tomorrow! :)

Newport Beach, CA Indian Wedding by Aaroneye Photography

This sunny Newport Beach wedding of Payal and Amam was jam-packed with action, captured in an incredible film by Aaroneye Photography. Pre-wedding celebrations included a talent-filled sangeet, with the highlight being Payal dancing gracefully for her adoring future hubby! The Marigold Company helmed the planning and design duties, and seamlessly executed the numerous events. The ceremony day began with a bang, featuring a little token from the Dark Knight himself, as Amam led his baraat in a Batmobile. The photos by Greycard Photography of the groom in his larger-than-life mode of transportation made for some classic portraits! Amam couldn’t have made a cooler entrance, and the baraat music by 3D Sounds pumped excitement into the crowd, which only heightened as the ceremony began. The pristine grounds of the Newport Beach Marriott were dotted with palm trees, and the cerulean and white drapings on the elegant mandap swayed gently in the ocean breeze. The beautiful bride was primped and polished to perfection with hair and makeup by Dolled Up by Lulu and a vibrant red and cream lehenga. The natural light outside lit the bride and groom perfectly, and the traditional ceremony was meaningful and went off without a hitch! Afterwards, the quick-on-their-feet newlyweds couldn’t wait to get the party started! Payal and Amam’s reception was pure elegance, featuring a gilded wall of flickering candles and pink-hued florals designed by Kumba Entertainment. Guests were on their feet the entire event, cheering on all the incredible performances! When 3D Sounds hit the DJ booth, the party leveled up even more, with guests dancing to their hearts’ delight and taking breaks to take silly pics in the photo booth by A Little Scene! Check out the video below for all the action!

Beautiful wasn't it? We'll catch you tomorrow with another fabulous wedding video!

Riviera Maya Destination Indian Wedding by Mike Cantarell Films

We can't get enough of sunny destination weddings these days, especially with frigid temps hitting various parts of the country! This ethereal gem of a film by Mike Cantarell Films features Crystal and Sachin's marriage celebrations in Riviera Maya. From the initial moments of the video, we were transported to a tropical paradise, with magnificent shots of crashing blue waves and sunsets, and Mike Cantarell Films' amazing aerial cinematography capturing all the excitement! The festivities took place at the gorgeous Hard Rock Riviera Maya and kicked off with welcome drinks at the venue's Solarium Terrace. Guests had such a fantastic time taking in the surroundings and mingling with the couple and the other guests! We are huge fans of pre-wedding mixers since guests can let loose and get to know other attendees, making the atmosphere at the ceremony and reception events so much more relaxed and enjoyable! The next morning began with the baraat ceremony, which was held beach side with dapper Sachin leading the crowd to the oceanfront mandap on a regal horse-drawn carriage. The ceremony couldn't have been more beautiful, with Maharani Crystal looking radiant in a green and red lehenga that contrasted beautifully against the ocean backdrop. The couple's euphoric reception was one for the books, featuring fire dancers, paint drummers, and acrobats. Check out all the incredible action in the video below!

We feel relaxed and rejuvenated after that wedding film! We'll see you tomorrow Maharanis!
