Here at Maharani Weddings, when a film from Robles Video Productions crosses our desk, we know we’re in for a sweeping, cinematic treat! From the very first frame of the edit, we were immersed in Jinal and Rajiv’s beautiful world. Seriously Maharanis, this film is bursting with the most dazzling bridal inspiration, and you should definitely take a gander if you’re in the process of planning your own special day! We were blown away by the couple and their bridal fashions - they were adorned to perfection and were dressed from head to toe in the richest apparel and accessories. Jinal truly resembled an Indian queen in her decadent burgundy lehenga and a cascading maang tikka and necklace. Like everything else about this wedding, Jinals’s hair and makeup by Beauty By NG Nida Gazi was a masterpiece! Maharaja Rajiv’s fashion game was also on point in a lavishly embroidered sherwani! Our breath was taken away when we saw their outdoor ceremony decor. We can honestly say that this is one of our very favorite mandap setups ever! Hats off to Blue Lotus Insights for doing such a fabulous with the planning and design! The Langham venue served as the magnificent backdrop, and is about as close to a SoCal castle that we’ve seen. Check it out if you’re a SoCal bride looking for a fairytale wedding locale! The ambiance was pure whimsy, with delicate yellow floral structures coming together to create the romantic mandap. After watching this wedding film over and over, we simply cannot wait to see the photos of the event by Callaway Gable! Hey dolls! So glad to see you have made a return. We love Sonam and Harpeet so much that we return with their wedding but in cinematic form captured by Wynn Films. The pre ceremony garba night took place at the Ashyana Banquets and the dancing took place around a statue of deities and candles. It always warms my heart when I see brides honoring the mythical Hindu gods in their ceremonies. Both the wedding and reception took place at the Doubletree by Hilton Chicago - Oak Brook. Sonam is a natural stunner but with the magic touch of her makeup artist she becomes a walking masterpiece. I am in love with her bridal look because it reminds so much of Rajastani brides of ancient India. Oversized kundan pieces, the traditional deep red and gold lengha, and a sparkling maang tikka was the ultimate in bridal overhaul. Yanni Design Studio has once again proved to be the pioneers of the wedding decor industry and each clip of this highlight just drips with superior elegance. No one throws quite the party without a stellar sound designer in effect. DJ D’Stylz, Dhiraj Gupta of JSM Entertainment rocked the venue with the latest hits. We loved this wedding so much that we just had to feature it as one of our Platinum Guide picks and you can revel in all the visual details here captured by Rahul Rana Photography! How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

Harpreet and I met through mutual friends in medical school. I knew there was something special about him from the moment we met and I quickly realized he was "the one" for me.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

Harpreet surprised me with a beautiful proposal overlooking the stunning Chicago skyline in Millennium Park. He strategically had my sister and best friend go on a walk through the park, where he was secretly waiting. Once we got closer, I saw him, wearing a suit, in the middle of Lurie Garden. I realized what was happening and couldn't believe it! He had emptied out the garden so he could propose right in the center. He had a table and chair set up for a private celebration with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. The surprises didn't stop there. After he proposed, he had all of our friends and family, including visitors from around the country, waiting to surprise me to kick off the celebrations.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

I was so excited to plan my wedding but was so nervous since I didn't have any wedding planning experience. After talking to several friends who were recently married, I made my to-do list and got to work first picking the dates and major vendors, then the details. I absolutely loved my wedding and reception venue, the Oak Brook DoubleTree by Hilton. Their wedding specialist, Khulood Alfadhel, worked closely with me to ensure the wedding and reception were as organized and stress free as possible. Hair and makeup with Diem Angie and her team for the Sangeet, Wedding, and Reception was so much fun. Her team also did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids for the wedding.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

Picking my decor company was easy as Yanni Design Studio took my breath away with all the beautiful weddings they have done. Working with the team at YDS was my favorite part of the wedding planning process. Shari really helped my vision of an elegant, pink, gold, and sparkly wedding and reception come to life.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

Walking down the beautifully decorated aisle, with my dad at my side. I truly felt the love in the room for Harpreet and I, and I was so excited to be marrying him. I really felt like it was a moment straight out of a fairy tale.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.

The mendhi function was held in a tent in my backyard for close friends and family. We had a dosa station and extravagant dessert table. All of the ladies got their mendhi done by Sonal Dhanani, who was great.

I wanted the Sangeet to be bright and colorful and full of dance. The garba centerpiece was unique as it was something my mom, neighbor, and some aunties helped build. We had great performances by one of our 3 year old ring bearers (he even pulled me in to dance with him), the Lungi Dance by my dad's friends, a garba dance by my Mom and her friends, and so much more.

The Reception was the part of the wedding I was most excited about. I wanted it to be full of sparkle, crystal, gold manzanita trees, and beautiful candlelight. We wanted to incorporate some fun surprises for the guests so we had a red carpet photo booth with a backdrop, selfie sticks on all the guest tables, and pink light up sunglasses distributed on the dance floor. The entertainment at the reception left me speechless and full of love. There were exciting dances, heartfelt speeches, and hilarious videos.

Wow - we have a beautiful whirlwind of a wedding film for you today, created by Events Capture! This feisty couple planned their wedding over a two year period, brainstorming creative details together, and assembling an all-star team of vendors - the final results are unbelievable! The video shows that Melinee and Karmvir's wedding was a sumptuous feast for the eyes. Every detail was designed and planned to utter perfection by Exclusive Events NY. The quick-on-their-feet couple (who organized their reception to ensure they had at least three solid three hours of dance time to music by DJUSA) were so playful and adorable with each other during the weekend - We were utterly swept up in their love story while watching the film! Maharani Melinee was such a radiant bride, adorned in fashions by Armaans Bridal and Lotus Bazaar, with superstar glam makeup by Beauty by Tamanna! Melinee has some incredible words of wisdom that's we'll close with: "Always remember how you felt the day of your wedding. Take that feeling and always bring joy and laughter into your home. A happy marriage is a balancing act of meeting your own needs and each other’s needs. Learn to listen, be present in the moment, and think before you speak, but don’t lose your sense of self in the process of giving." So well said! How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

I met my husband while I was in college. I was sitting around with a group of friends and he boldly came over and introduced himself to me. We started laughing and talking and eventually our 3 year friendship bloomed into something much more. The moment I knew he was the one was when I took him home to meet my family and they instantly were attached. It felt so natural and it was as if they'd known each other for years. The light he brings into my life, with never ending support and love, is something I can hold onto forever and I know, without a doubt, that he is truly the one.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

Every proposal is magical, however our proposal is my favorite. We went weeks without a date and I asked him many times to see Central Park with me. One day he randomly called me and said "let's go to Central Park, I have an event for my job later on that evening and we can hang out beforehand." Excited, I sprung up and got ready and he picked me up an hour later. We explored Central Park and ended up going to a restaurant named The Boat House. He told me he had a surprise for me, and walked me outside, to the back of the restaurant.

There was a Gondola waiting for us and the gondolier was ready to take us for a ride. The lake was beautiful and empty. I was enjoying the ride and pointing out landmarks I used to study near during my college years. Soon, ahead of us was this gorgeous marble bridge. As we passed underneath, my husband began to move and got on one knee and asked "Would you marry me?" I had absolutely no idea what was happening. I was in complete and utter shock until a lady on the bridge was screaming "OH MY GOD, HE IS PROPOSING!! JUST SAY 'YES' JUST SAY 'YES'" Frantically waking up from shock, I shook my head "Yes" and began to tear up. Amazingly, all of this was caught on camera. He hired a professional to capture all of our moments leading up to the proposal.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

We had a two year engagement. We took our time and steadily paced booking all of our vendors. Three of the main key vendors we booked right away were the venues, the DJ, and the makeup artist. We liked that it was spaced, we did not feel rushed at any moment. Everyone we worked with were extremely professional and great at what they do. We had complete faith in them and everything came out great.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

Everyone I loved and held dear to my heart chose the outfits I wore. I am naturally not a picky person so I left it up to faith. It felt more special that way knowing my loved ones were involved and each outfit holds a amazing memory and story.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

The most enjoyable part of the planning process was the "do it yourself" projects. It was a way to reflect our own personalities into our wedding in a crafty way. Seeing every idea come together at the end made all of the effort involved worth it!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

From all the compliments we received from our wedding, I have to say the words that stood out most is "I loved to see the different cultural traditions involved, I loved how happy and fun you two were during the ceremonies, and I absolutely loved the music!" My husband and I love to dance and had a great time. On our reception day, we made sure that we could get at least three full hours of solid dance time.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

I remember walking up the aisle towards the Mandap of the Hindu wedding and seeing my husband looking at me when he suddenly winked. I was so shy and excited to commence the ceremony. During the ceremony, he flirted with me the entire time and we ended up laughing so much.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

Plan and organize well for your upcoming day and do not stress the little things. Enjoy your day and smile knowing you'll be marrying your soulmate. Always remember how you felt the day of your wedding. Take that feeling and always bring joy and laughter into your home. A happy marriage is a balancing act of meeting your own needs and each other’s needs. Learn to listen, be present in the moment, and think before you speak, but don’t lose your sense of self in the process of giving.

We can't get enough of sunny destination weddings these days, especially with frigid temps hitting various parts of the country! This ethereal gem of a film by Mike Cantarell Films features Crystal and Sachin's marriage celebrations in Riviera Maya. From the initial moments of the video, we were transported to a tropical paradise, with magnificent shots of crashing blue waves and sunsets, and Mike Cantarell Films' amazing aerial cinematography capturing all the excitement! The festivities took place at the gorgeous Hard Rock Riviera Maya and kicked off with welcome drinks at the venue's Solarium Terrace. Guests had such a fantastic time taking in the surroundings and mingling with the couple and the other guests! We are huge fans of pre-wedding mixers since guests can let loose and get to know other attendees, making the atmosphere at the ceremony and reception events so much more relaxed and enjoyable! The next morning began with the baraat ceremony, which was held beach side with dapper Sachin leading the crowd to the oceanfront mandap on a regal horse-drawn carriage. The ceremony couldn't have been more beautiful, with Maharani Crystal looking radiant in a green and red lehenga that contrasted beautifully against the ocean backdrop. The couple's euphoric reception was one for the books, featuring fire dancers, paint drummers, and acrobats. Check out all the incredible action in the video below!
