The sweet couple expressed gratitude by donating to the LGBTQ charity Family Equality as their wedding favors. How did you meet your Bride, and when did you know she was "the one"?
It was a chilly Sunday morning in November of 2020. The height of the COVID pandemic was slowly beginning to dwindle down when Anisha and Meghan matched on a dating app called Bumble. As a funeral director and a nurse, they quickly bonded over their shared traumatic work experiences that had transpired over the prior 8 months. This bond led to more conversations and discovering more things that they had in common: their difficult journeys leading up to coming out and their desire to be truly happy. Despite their differences (their races, where they grew up, their cultural upbringings) and Anisha almost infecting Meghan with COVID after their first date, they both knew they had found something special in the other. After Anisha’s 14-day quarantine period was over, the couple eagerly met up again, and the rest is history! Meghan and Anisha hope to grow their family in the future and pave the way for other interracial, same-sex couples.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Our overall experience with all of our vendors was impeccable. They all truly brought our vision to life and never once made us feel “less than” for being a same-sex couple.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Almost all of our guests said as soon as they entered the ballroom, they felt good vibrations and positive energy, and that is honestly all that we could have hoped for. We had all the right people there with us, supporting us along the way.

One moment that the guests said that they enjoyed the most was when the dhol drummer and bagpiper performed a duet before the dance floor opened. We thought it would be a nice way to symbolize two cultures coming together.

My parents, Sankar and Sabita Mukherjee made a generous donation to the LGBTQ+ organization Family Equality as one of the wedding favors. Family Equality’s mission is to create a world where everyone can experience the unconditional love, safety, and belonging of family. Family Equality aims to ensure that everyone has the freedom to find, form, and sustain their families by advancing equality for the LGBTQ+ community.

Our other wedding favor was a beignet-to-go!

From the moment guests arrived, they were transported to a magical world created by the team's expertise. The stunning floral arrangements and decor by Catherine Wayman were breathtaking, and KIS (cubed) Events, the event designer, perfectly curated every detail. The Baraat was kept lively and energetic by Shilpa Entertainment, who kept everyone on their feet with her music. It celebrated love and the perfect start to their journey together. Flawless Beauty by Pauline made sure Dimple looked breathtaking on her big day. Rana Ranbir's live music set the tone for the evening, creating a warm and romantic atmosphere that had everyone swaying along. Vipul Gupta's catering was divine, with a menu featuring a delicious fusion of traditional and modern South Asian cuisine that left everyone wanting more. Shilpa Entertainment is a talented and dynamic DJ who knows how to bring the party to life. With an extensive knowledge of music spanning various genres, she has the ability to create the perfect playlist that keeps guests on the dance floor all night long. And every decor detail was perfectly curated by Events Styled by LUXE, who added a touch of elegance and sophistication to the ambiance. The magic of the day was captured perfectly by the skilled cinematography of Diego Stuart Films, who brought the event to life on screen. His cinematic style is infused with a sense of romance and drama, creating films that are not only beautiful but also profoundly moving. He is committed to telling his clients' stories in the most authentic and meaningful way possible, and they take great pride in creating films that will be cherished for a lifetime. How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met each other like many others in these modern times…online! I knew he was the one when I saw how he treated my family and immersed himself into my culture.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
We had been dating for quite some time and while I kept bugging him about wanting a proposal, I was completely shocked when it happened. The week before he proposed, he told me he had a work trip, but actually went to Florida to ask my parents for their blessing. On the day of the proposal, we met a few friends for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants where he got down on one knee. He also had the same musician who was singing during our very first date singing during the proposal. It was perfect!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I started by picking a few dates that worked for our families. From there we started our search for the perfect venue. I knew I wanted it to be close to home, have the option for indoor or outdoor events, and have an overall resort feel. Once we decided on the venue, I started the search for my outfits, hair and makeup artist, caterer, photographer/cinematographer, and entertainment. It was important to me to book the vendors I really wanted to work with right away.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I did a lot of research on Instagram/online looking at various designers and narrowed down the designers based on the style I was looking for.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the planning process were the parts where the groom and I combined our ideas to come up with unique and fun experiences for our guests during the wedding. My groom would also say that the menu tasting was his favorite part of the planning process :)

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Many of our guests particularly enjoyed the food during all of our events.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
My groom’s reaction during our first look was such a special moment for me that I’ll never forget.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
We included special touches into each event that were personal to us. For instance, our welcome bags were actually KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) buckets as a nod to where the groom is from. We also had dances performed by family and friends during all of our events, which made for a truly special experience.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Be very organized during the planning process and delegate tasks so that you can enjoy your big day. Things will go wrong and that’s okay! At the end of the day, you are marrying the love of your life and that’s all that should matter.

Also, pick vendors that are easy to work with and flexible especially when things go wrong and there are last minute changes. I was so lucky that I had amazing vendors that made our dream wedding come true!

Welcome to another fabulous wedding story, loves! Today we unveiled another masterpiece by the talented wedding storyteller Studio KSD. This time they delivered the beautiful highlight video of Nisha and Dhrumil's union. All the romance, the love, and the joy of two families coming together as one surrounded by pure elegance and translated into a magnificent visual testament. The Philly couple picked The Logan Philadelphia Curio Collection by Hilton to host their big days. With its sprawling spaces, it was just the ideal spot for these two to tie the knot in front of a big crowd of family and friends. The outdoor ceremony took place in the peaceful courtyard where the decor team of Florista Decor created a charming mandap with lush flowers and sprawling greenery. What a lovely location! Timeless and regal, Maharani Nisha looked like the ultimate Maharani! She was glammed by bridal expert Beauty by Kiran Kaur LLC and got the artistic Mehendi touch of Rita Shah Mehndi Artis on her hands and feet. She created a magnificent henna design worthy of a queen that perfectly matched her queenly ceremony lehenga choli set. For her last function, this stylish bride's reception trousseau expressed her lively personality. She opted for a shimmery, sparkly blue lehenga that was perfect for the starry night she was about to live! It was officially time to start the party, and Zac Clejan played his best notes for the couple's grand entrance to complement their big night while DJ Bobby set the tone for the crowd to packed the dancefloor! After this heartwarming event, our couple had the honor to host an elegant reception at Antun's by Minar. This venue offers a dramatic lobby staircase that allows your guests to experience true elegance and sophistication. So, I think this would be the best place for your big day! Decor by Antun's planned our lovebirds' event and embellished the reception venue with unique details, flowers, and, most importantly, passion for their job! Maharanis, feeling and looking pretty for our big day is essential. Remember that is one of the most meaningful events of our lives. Simran looked beyond perfect thanks to the captivating gown designed by Fashions by Sai Fashion. Roop Collection in Richmondhill added the sophisticated and stylish glow for our Maharani! Now, my Sweeties, I have to tell you about the dedicated Mehndi job Henna by Inder did. Her design was eye-catching, and the lovely Simran took everyone's breath away! Virdee Films Photo & Cinema was an essential part of this beautiful wedding. They captured a stunning set of photos for the newlyweds to enjoy. This team also recorded the most memorable moments of this couple.
