Good morning, Maharanis! We are glad that you are back to enjoy the filmy time of the day! If you are in the pursuit of inspiration, you've come to the right place. So let us take care of you and relax as we fill you with tons of inspiration. Today we are heading down to Long Island, New York, to be enchanted by Punya & Michael's wedding festivities! Our lovebirds made an ideal venue selection by choosing the Crest Hollow Country Club for the Indian traditional pre-wedding celebrations and the exclusive Hilton Long Island Huntington for the wedding ceremony and wedding reception. If you are wondering who was behind the planning of this spectacular event, we have the right answer for you. The talented team from Glamorous Event planners orchestrated every detail, embracing our lovely duo's vision and transforming it into the wedding of their dreams. And not only this, but they also crafted the marvelous decoration, and provided the Draping Style that set the mood for this beautiful celebration. Such talent! We are lucky to count on the skills of Unique Visions Studio, who made sure to capture every single detail and memorable moment and created an uncomparable visual masterpiece. So don't think twice and click the play icon below! You will love every single part of it!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Mike and I were set up by a mutual friend at school (University of Delaware) almost 10 years ago. We started dating my senior year and then I moved to NYC while Mike stayed in Delaware to complete his master's degree - we were long distance for 2 years and the second Mike moved to NYC, I knew I couldn't imagine being apart from him again!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Mike picked me up from work to grab a drink before we were going to a Kygo concert. Instead of grabbing a drink first we went for a stroll where he proposed in Battery Park. I found out later he was supposed to propose the day after in Central Park where we had one of our first real dates but once he found it was going rain he knew there was no chance of getting me to the park without being suspicious. He also planned a surprise party for our immediate family and our closest friends at Tavern on the Green in Central Park.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We had such wonderful vendors that really supported us in building our dream wedding! When we went to our first appointment with Glamorous Events with my PowerPoint presentation of inspiration for the decor I wanted for all three events, instead of thinking I was crazy they executed it perfectly. Our DJ from BWD events helped us create the perfect playlist to balance Mike's favorite EDM songs with my 90's reggaeton requests all while simultaneously catering to our Punjabi and Jewish guests. Salwa Photography and Unique Visions captured all our favorite moments while making us feel so comfortable with cameras next to us in our most intimate wedding moments.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Mike and I had a #hinjewwedding, instead of blending our Hindu and Jewish wedding ceremonies we had both! So I went the traditional route for both ceremonies; I wore a red lengha for our Hindu ceremony on Friday and a white wedding dress for our Jewish wedding on Saturday.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Being engaged! Realizing we were planning OUR wedding, we truly felt the excitement as we made the wedding of our dreams come to life!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
We are still so flattered by all of our guest's compliments - they loved our decor at the Sangeet - we went for traditional bright India - lots of colors, Mendhi stations, a rickshaw to take pictures with, a Bazaar full of bangles and purses. For the Hindu wedding - I could not hear more about how Mike's Baraat and how amazing he looked like an Indian groom on a horse and his dance moves! For the Jewish ceremony and reception our guests loved everything about our venue, Flowerfield, the grounds were stunning and they were blown away by their catering!

Was there a really special moment at your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Mike and I snuck out of our reception and took a moment to ourselves to walk outside and admire the party from afar and it was so special to take that minute for just us and to stand back and appreciate all of our friends and family on the dance floor celebrating us!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Try to enjoy being engaged - it all goes by so quickly, it is so easy to get stressed and caught up with the planning process. Mike and I planned specific moments during the process that was just for us - whether it was going to a vendor appointment alone, booking a spa day, or just going for a picnic in Central Park. It is important to remember you are not just planning a wedding, you are getting married!

Wait to see what we have prepared for your Friday, so stick around!

Philadelphia, PA Indian Wedding by The Santos and Co

Welcome back, ladies! The filmy time of the day is here, and as always, we are back with a shot of inspiration just for you. Today we are about to unveil the beauty surrounding Nikhita & Nand's wedding festivities. To begin this journey, we would like to take you to the exclusive Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia, the ideal venue that hosted the spectacular wedding ceremony, and the unforgettable reception. Diwan by Design orchestrated every single detail of this wedding, making sure to accomplish every desire and to bring our lovely duo's vision to reality. I want to highlight the marvelous natural beauty that our gorgeous Maharani showcased the entire time. She trusted her beauty needs to the expertise of Cinderella Bridez, who created a ravishing look for her. Just splendid! And we can't forget to mention the beautiful Mehndi art designed by Henna by Jinal. Just marvelous! You will witness how every single guest enjoyed every part of this phenomenal event, like the delicious food served by Moghul Caterers, the sweet cake baked by Cake Life Bake Shop, and the floral arrangements by Wedding Design and Décor. Not to mention the phenomenal music played by DJ Sunny Entertainment, that along with Sangeet Entertainment and the live music from Ryan Tennis Music, turned this gala into a real party. You can enjoy the visual masterpiece created by The Santos and Co below. And if this is not enough, you can also admire their talent in today's gallery!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Nand and I met 7 years ago on a dating app and started our relationship with 300 miles between us. We first met in a café half way between our NJ homes. This was just the beginning of a long series of dates during the summer of 2013 through which we got to know each other while Nand was in medical school in NYC and I was a fresh college graduate working in health policy. I fell for Nand's thoughtfulness, sharp mind, and serious drumming skills.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
After 4 years of long distance, we moved in together to a cozy apartment in the heart of Boston. Nand proposed soon after in Princeton where we spent many formative moments of our relationship and I excitedly said yes! The beautiful proposal was followed by a sweet surprise dinner with all of the people we love the most - our parents, siblings, and grandparents. The ring is a simple, chic, personalized relic from, NYC-based jeweler, Zameer Kassam, who worked with Nand to integrate pieces of our love story into the ring itself. ZK also designed and customized our wedding bands.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our guests loved Nand's Broad Street Baraat! We shut down a city block outside of Philadelphia City Hall (S. Broad Street) for the Baraat - everyone loved seeing Nand on a horse and dancing to beats by dholi Nihaal Singh and DJ Raj Minocha.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Nand surprised me with a live band who played through our cocktail hour. Halfway through their set, Nand hopped on the drums and played two special songs with them. He's so talented and I'm his biggest fan!! Our guests loved hearing Nand play and so did I!

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Our Sangeet was pretty epic- it was held on the top floor of high rise building with gorgeous view of Philly! I wanted the Sangeet to have a super modern/city vibe so we went with neutrals (white/cream/gold) as opposed to the traditional bright colors. I wore a navy blue lengha designed by my mom and Nand wore a navy blue bandh gala.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
The most memorable part of our wedding was being surrounded by our closest friends and family members who came from near and far to celebrate our love. It's easy to get bogged down in the details of wedding planning so we tried to remind ourselves of the big picture! You're marrying the love of your life and that's what matters the most!

If we inspire you today, wait to see what we have prepared for you tomorrow. So visit us by then!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
During my fourth year of dental school, Indy and I planned an impromptu trip to Paris. I spent a lot of time planning out the whole trip with Indy, little did I know he already had it all planned out! Our first morning in Paris, we went to Montmartre, my favorite part of Paris. It was a bit of a gloomy morning but Indy insisted we go anyway. Once we were there, Indy proposed in a garden in front of The Wall of Love and had a photographer waiting there to capture the moment! She captured the entire proposal as well as the snow flurries that begun falling immediately after he proposed! We spent the next 5 days enjoying everything that Paris has to offer.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I could not have planned this wedding without the help of our wedding planner, Therese (Electric Karma), and our families! It truly was a team effort with each member of our family playing a big part. After visiting Cabo with my parents and Therese, we immediately chose Paradisus Los Cabos as our venue. Once the venue was in place, Therese guided us in picking all of the vendors, most of which she knew personally. We got lucky with the most incredible group of vendors who we worked with closely over the course of one year to plan all of the details.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part was the amount of time that Indy and I spent talking to our parents and sisters and bouncing ideas off each other throughout the year. I felt that both of our families really bonded through the wedding planning process. The brunches, family "meetings" and phone calls made the planning process fun! Especially because Indy and I lived in New York and Boston, respectively, for half of the planning process, so it was nice being in touch with our family in Texas.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The guests loved how much detail went around planning four days of events. It is very rare for an Indian wedding to stick to a schedule, but we were able to make it work! We had our wedding in Cabo San Lucas at the Paradisus Los Cabos resort, a relatively small resort which means our wedding took over the majority of rooms with all ~240 guests staying there. We had beautiful weather the whole week and Cabo is such a breathtaking place to spend time with friends and family before getting married! Everyone was in vacation-mode and had plenty of energy for the four days of fun that we had planned! Guests also had plenty of time each day to enjoy the resort, beach and the town since we had the Sangeet, Wedding Ceremony, and Reception each on a separate day.

Everyone also loved the food! The resort had a variety of great sit-down restaurants and we were lucky to have Chef Gaurav Anand fly in from New York City to cater our wedding! He curated a wonderful menu of Indian, Mexican, and International dishes for the Sangeet, Wedding Day, Cocktail hour and Reception. He put together an incredible plated Indian dinner for our reception which was the one thing I really wanted all along!!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
I just keep dreaming about the whole week of countless amazing memories! We truly had the best week of our lives in paradise with all of our family and friends. We're already planning a reunion trip!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
There are so many aspects to planning a wedding that I never even thought of before this whole process. Having a knowledgable wedding planner, such as Therese, who has done this almost 1,000 times (literally!) really helped us achieve everything we wanted! Without her knowledge and experience, we would have been overwhelmed, especially since we chose to do a destination wedding.

If you were inspired today, wait to see what we have prepared just for you tomorrow. So stay tuned!
