Happy Wednesday, Maharanis! We hope you are ready to enjoy a new wedding film, because today's celebration of love is not just elegant but truly faithful to traditional Pakistani weddings, and we are sure that you won't want to miss it. So let's not wait any longer and enjoy all the mesmerizing details of Hajira & Shayan's wedding. Being this a life-changing event, it is no surprise that our young couple wanted to immortalize all the moments surrounding this day. That is why they decided to bring Maria Fasih Studios to capture ever scene of the Nikkah ceremony hosted at the Diyanet Center. For this long-awaited day, our gorgeous Maharani looked breathtaking thanks to the exquisite makeup and hairstyle designed by Mahwish Ali Beauty. The nude colors and the classy hairstyle enhanced our lovely bride's innate beauty and complemented the gorgeous outfit from Embellished By Sadaf Amir's collection! But that is not all. To crown this marvelous look, Hajira got a fabulous Mehndi outlined by Naseem. COVID could not stop Hajira & Shayan to start their everlasting love story in such a charming and romantic way, and we have no words to express how happy we are for them. If you want to unveil all the beauty of this wedding, click play and get ready to be amazed!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Very early in our relationship he would always say "I'm going to marry you". When he told me his parents are going to come over for my hand I laughed because I loved his persistent pursuit of me despite me playing hard to get (even though I was head over heels myself). It is so nice to be with someone who knows exactly what he wants from day one and is not afraid of the next step. So after him and his parents asked for my hand things moved quickly and we started ring shopping. Let me tell you! My husband is the most trendy fashion forward man I know! He learned everything there is to know about diamonds and had such a strong opinion on the design. He wanted a solitaire and I was all about the details like a halo. We came up with a ring design we both loved and met in the middle with a solitaire look with a micropavé band. He was so involved in the process and cared so much about the design it was so sweet. I knew he had the ring but I wasn’t sure of when he would do it. I have always been the type of girl to want an intimate proposal with no one but my significant other. When COVID hit I expected there to be no detailed proposal. Little did I know that when he spontaneously visited me for my birthday weekend he would do it then! Since options were limited due to lockdown he decided to do it at home and make it super sentimental. The proposal made me cry because it was so well thought out and detailed! He set up a HUGE rose petal heart in my basement with a rose petal/candle walkway leading up to it. He bought a helium tank and filled heart balloons to line up the walkway. By the floral heart there was a board that said "Will you marry me?" with a book titled "Dream Come True" in which he laminated/pasted little details he saved from our relationship over time. I could not believe this guy saved some of the things that he did! He had his first boarding pass from his first visit to me, my first boarding pass to visit him, a rose petal from the first flowers he gave me, a piece of the gift bag from our first valentines day, first theme park entrance tickets, etc. He had worked on this book for 5 months before proposing to me with it. I could not stop myself from tears! He always jokes that I didn't even care about the ring, I was all over the book. I am so happy I get to hold onto that book and cherish it forever.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Truth be told I grew up in the DMV area and have known where I would have my wedding and who I would use as my vendors for a long time! Due to COVID we ended up doing a mayoun hosted by my uncle/aunt at their house and a nikkah at my house for now. Stay tuned for the Mehndi and Reception details in Virginia and San Francisco next year (iA, God willing)!

So for now, venue for the Nikkah was my house which ended up being the best thing ever! There is something about leaving from your house as a bride with your husband that is so so soooo special, which I may have missed out on if it had not been for COVID (silver lining of the pandemic).

Photography/Videography: None other than Maria Fasih. This decision was one I didn't even have to think about. I met Maria at my best friend's wedding. As the maid of honor at her wedding I worked closely with her vendors including Maria. In just one night we got so close! I told her right then and there that she would cover my wedding and she has accommodated me no matter how many times I had changed the dates. She has become a lifelong friend who is super talented and will drop everything for her clients. I cannot wait for future shoots with her. Her work speaks for itself but when you meet her, you will understand that her work ethic and personality is unmatched.

Hair & Makeup: Mahwish Ali Beauty. There are so many talented hair and makeup artists that I have tried in the area that I love for their own unique styles. However, when it came down to my mayoun and nikkah I knew Mahwish was the one who could give me my "ideal" looks for both events. She is so talented and super sweet! Loved everything about my mayoun and nikkah look! The amount of detail and effort she puts into her work really shows! I fell in love with my looks as soon as I saw myself in the mirror but when my husband was obsessed with both my looks I knew Mahwish hit the nail on the head.

Outfits: Embellished By Sadaf Amir. Not only is she basically family she is a GREAT designer. I have known her for years and her work is nothing short of perfect. I basically told her my vision for my mayoun and nikkah outfits and with her own expertise she elevated those outfits to the next level. She always does an amazing job with all my clothes so I knew she had to be a part of my wedding looks. She is not just a designer who will talk business with you, she will go the extra mile to keep you happy. She dealt with all my tantrums and I will forever be grateful for her.

Decor: Sarah Khan Event Styling. Where do I start with them? There aren't enough nice words I can say about Sarah Khan and her team. From even before the pandemic when we were planning my events they had been sorting through ideas and working so hard for my dream wedding. When the pandemic hit they were honestly not just decorators but also a listening ear. I will never forget all the venting sessions I had with them and how cooperative they were with all my changing plans. They gave me a more ideal wedding than I could have had in a huge venue. I mean how did they turn my house into something out of a fairytale?! Until this day the decor is being talked about and people keep asking me who did it! Ahhh, I still look back at the pictures and obsess over the details!

Mehndi/Henna: Naseem for my BEAUTIFUL mehndi. She spent hours on my hands and feet with impeccable detail and the stain was beyond beautiful. She is so talented and super sweet. I will never get my mehndi done by anyone else! LOVE her work!

Desserts: Fatima for the AMAZING cake, macarons, cake pops, and cookies. Not only were they soooo pretty they tasted so good too! Super talented and fun to work with. I have gotten desserts from her in the past too and each time she exceeds my expectations!

Extra Details: Saher for the super cute "Qubool Hai" sign and chocolate bar favors. The amount of detail and talent in her work really shows and she is so down to earth and sweet on top of that! I have ordered her favors and art work many times and will continue to do so!

Thank you to ALL our vendors for making our events even better than what they would have been pre-pandemic. Their loyalty to their clients really showed during such an uncertain time. So thankful for the life long friendships we made along the way. We could not have asked for a better team!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of planning for our wedding was the time we spent together. For most couples wedding planning leads to stress and added tension but for us it was a little different. Sure, there were days where I was being a complete bridezilla but I cannot say enough good things about my husband. He was a true gem throughout it all. He lightened up every situation and made me laugh. I think if the groom is just as involved in the planning as the bride then the memories you make are unforgettable. If you truly love each other, wedding planning should bring you closer together.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Honestly I try to remember how I felt in each moment to relive that day in my head. However, there are TWO very important moments that I will NEVER forget. One is when we were doing our photoshoot on the HOTTEST day of the summer my husband was blowing air on me, fixing my outfit, fixing my hair, and constantly making sure I am hydrated. In those moments he didn't care that he was also burning hot, he was just worried about me. Reminded me of why I fell in love with him. Two is during/after the Rukhsati (send off) he held my hand and told me "I know how much you mean to your whole family and I can't even imagine one day giving our daughter to someone else to take away to the other side of the country...but I promise to always try to fill your dad's shoes by loving and cherishing you" That moment made me more emotional than the actual Rukhsati because here I was worried about having my dream wedding when in reality none of that matters when you have the dream partner, the #DreamBaig if you will haha!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Enjoy every moment because it flies by so quickly! I was the type of bride to worry about each and every detail but luckily my husband is very good at making me want to live in the moment. He joked around and made me laugh all night. Looking back at pictures/videos all I can see is a happy couple and that is exactly how you want to remember your big day. At the end of the day you won't remember or care about any detail, all you will remember is how happy you were in the moment. Take it from a major bridezilla!

That is all for today, darlings. Don't forget to join us tomorrow for more.

Haiku, HI Sikh Fusion Wedding by Ohana Films

Good morning, beautiful ladies! If you were looking for inspiration, you've come to the right place because Kiran & Grant's wedding celebration is beyond amazing! If you have been following us for quite a while, you must know that we already featured this wedding with this spectacular gallery captured by Anna Kim Photography. However, this celebration packed so much beauty and flair that we wanted to give you a little more. Today's cinematographic delight by Ohana Films has everything you need to enjoy this celebration at its fullest. So, get ready to reach inspirational levels you have never experienced before! This time, we will take you on a visual trip to Haiku, Hawaii,  and, more specifically, to the Haiku Mill for you to take part in the wedding ceremony that united this lovely couple in marriage. And we want to make a big shoutout to Mira Savara Events for the perfect planning of this wedding celebration and Darren Keala for the incredible decor that set the mood for this life milestone. It was all a winning combination that we cannot stop seeing! Although the scenery was perfect, nothing compared to our lovely Maharani Kiran, who looked drop-dead gorgeous after being pampered by Maui Makeup Artistry. To end this wedding bash with a bang, Kiran & Grant celebrated their marriage with an intimate and elegant reception party hosted at the Andaz Maui At Wailea Resort. And all we have to say is that it was one celebration to remember! If you want to see more about all the fantastic details surrounding this celebration of love, hit the play icon below and get ready to enjoy this real-life fairytale. We are sure you are going to love every single detail of it!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Brought together by a personal matchmaker, Grant & I first crossed paths at the Claremont Hotel, Berkeley. We gabbed over cocktails & delicious eats for hours, closing the joint down. Our shared sense of humor and outlook on life unraveled so naturally, as though we had known each other all along. We left each other's company knowing in our hearts we would be together always.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
A romantic at heart, Grant wished to incorporate details in my life that he knew I held close to my heart. Knowing how passionate I was as an educator, he felt that nothing would best the setting of proposing to me in my classroom while involving my students and my principal who also had become a close friend of mine over the years.

After asking my father for his blessing, Grant put forth his plan on May 31st - my parents' anniversary - by arriving to school during the afternoon recess. While I heard the pandemonium garner momentum outside of the classroom, Grant was "stealthily" handing out roses to each student, who had become quite acclimated with him the past few months, dubbing us "Granjeet" as a "matrimony" of our names - Grant & Kiranjeet - while also mischievously writing cliched poetry and love notes on our behalf addressed to one another.

Once the bell rang, each student sauntered in to the classroom, desperately attempting to stifle their excitement, to present a rose to me with Grant finally handing me a rose himself, proclaiming his love and desire for us to be together every day for the remainder of our lives. As he knelt down to ask for my hand, my students finally let loose their giggles and gasps of gleeful anticipation, and when I responded with "yes", the screams, shrieks, and rapture were beyond containment. Plastic champagne glasses flowing with sparkling apple cider ensued, and, true to form, what a unique unforgettable shared experience Grant created for my students to participate in such a special, heartfelt moment!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Once we immediately fell in love with Haiku Mill, cosmic forces collided with Sabyasachi's 2017 Udaipur Collection. The lehengha's green & yellow hues on raw silk complimented the lush gardens of Haiku Mill fluidly as though the cloth itself was a natural extension of the organic vines and branches found throughout the grounds. Noticeably visible was the mosaic border of the lehengha as it continued as the floral print, becoming more English influenced, a metaphorical nod to our multicultural wedding's blend of customs.

In my mind's eye, I had long envisioned incorporating a rich tone of emerald green for my wedding lehenga, so discovering this particular design and scheme was quintessential kismat. Simply stated, the wedding dress and the stunning venue was a match made in heaven.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
It was our best endeavor to have all of our guests regarded as one OHANA during the course of our shared time in Maui. We heard from a plethora of friends and family how special and close knit they came to feel with how each event integrated both sides together seamlessly, encouraging new relationships and bonds to form and remain established even to this day. From the onset, Grant & I strongly desired for our wedding to allow everyone to feel like a part of the "inner circle of trust."

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
With that ring comes ALOT of "responsibility". How right you are mom!

Never compromise yourself. You're all you've got.     Janice Joplin

See you tomorrow for more. We have a new love story that you don't want to miss!

Houston, TX Indian Wedding by Biyani Photography

The filmy time of the day is here, and you, my beautiful Maharanis, will love what we have prepared for you today. We are in the middle of this fabulous week, and we were dying to present you with a double feature. Today you can enjoy the beauty that surrounded Niti & Sudhir's wedding celebration visiting the phenomenal photo gallery, and the remarkable film featured down below. Both created by the talented crew from Biyani Photography, who made sure to capture each emotion and special moment just for us. Such talent! The exclusive Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria hosted this celebration and let me tell you that everyone enjoyed every single part of it. Mandap Creations designed such a perfect decoration for each celebration. Speaking of perfection, you will love how Niti, our beautiful Maharani, dazzled everyone with her royalty look. This was thanks to the talented style from Hilda & Co, who took care of her beauty needs. Just lovely! So don't think twice and click the play button below. I bet you will be inspired just as much as we were! You will adore it.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met my Sudhir on Dil Mil. At the time, he was finishing up his last couple of months of residency in Lubbock, TX while I was working and living in CT. We both knew early on this was it. We texted and FaceTimed almost everyday for 4.5 months before we met for the first time. He came to see me in NYC and even though it was a short weekend trip, we had the best time. Every time we met after that was even better than the last. Sudhir told me early on he knew I was the one for him. I knew it early on too but only admitted it after I saw him with my parents and sisters. Our relationship was always long distance and although it was difficult at times, it forced us to really get to know each other and really helped us build a strong foundation.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Planning a wedding can be extremely stressful and daunting but every single vendor we worked with was absolutely amazing and made the process and experience so easy and enjoyable for us.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I worked with a designer I found on Instagram (PritiSahni). I always knew I wanted to wear an off white/cream color lehenga with gold embroidery and work. I had a design in mind and Priti made it come to life within my budget.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the planning process was learning more about Sudhir and wanting to hear his opinions and making decisions together. If you ask him, he would say food and cake tasting!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our guests to this day talk about the food! Our caterer Bhojan: Mumbai Grill & Catering went above and beyond for us and our guests really loved every single dish they made.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The one moment that I will never be able to forget was mine and Sudhir’s first look. He looked SO handsome! The next most memorable moment was seeing my parents on the mandap as I walked down the aisle. I still remember all the emotions.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
I wanted to keep decor as simple, clean and elegant as possible. Our decorator, Mandap Creations, was so great in providing us with options that fit our style and budget.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Enjoy the process! And remember to be in the moment the day of. It goes by so fast!

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)

Huntington Beach, CA Pakistani Wedding by Samson Productions

The filmy time of the day is here! And you, my beautiful Maharanis, will love it. We had previously presented you with the magical wedding festivities between Ammarah & Mubashir in a beautiful photo gallery that you can relive here. And today, we are re-visiting this fantastic event, for you to have a visual delight checking the complete details of this wedding through the lens of Samson Productions, who created a phenomenal film filled with emotions and memorable moments from this gala. The grand Renaissance Banquet was chosen by our lovebird's to host the Mehndi night. A magical moment that created many memories while everyone celebrated the true love between their favorites before the big day. After all the pre-wedding ceremonies, it was time to head over to the exclusive Huntington Beach Hilton Waterfront to take part in the wedding ceremony of this lovely duo. You will love how every part of these festivities was set up and decorated by 2Create Designs, who created different environments for each moment. What talent! After the ceremony, it was time to have some fun at the reception party hosted at Fairmont Royal York Hotel, where the celebration continued in an epic night! If you want to relive all of these details, click play down below and enjoy!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met my Groom through family connections. I was at a wedding and Mubashir approached me. I remember being incredibly nervous from the attention, but I instantly knew he was “the one”. Kind, gentle, and respectful— everything I had dreamed of. He recalls that he felt the exact same way about me… he was nervous yet knew that he would regret if he didn’t walk over and talk to me. Grateful for our instant and deep connection every day since our first meeting.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
We went to a rooftop breakfast at the Montage in Beverly Hills, while a special location, I wasn’t expecting anything out of the ordinary. However, he completely surprised me! When I walked into the restaurant, I was stunned because there were roses everywhere and a beautiful sign asking, “will you marry me?” Friends and family joined us for our special brunch, and it was such a memorable event.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Planning a wedding can be one of the most exciting, yet intimidating things you’ll ever do. Luckily, I had my mother’s support and she was the greatest in making sure every single detail was executed perfectly! Because we worked together, we were able to achieve more. We made sure that we clearly articulated our vision for the wedding to all of the planners and we developed timelines for key events leading up to the big day. My overall experience was excellent from picking a venue (at Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach), to hair and makeup, and wedding décor (by 2Create Designs)— which I contribute to a combination of teamwork, proper planning, and good luck.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Because of my Pakistani background I wore traditional red. I was not confident in this color at first because I do not normally wear red. However, I was astonished at how beautiful my bridal lengha was, once I let go of expectations, I was able to fully embrace the beauty of red. The lengha was artfully embellished and flowy—it made for a memorable event.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the planning process was working so closely with my mother. I think our relationship deepened through the process and I am very grateful we were able to share this experience together. My mom reminded me to stay centered and grounded throughout the process.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
My guests were really impressed with the personal touch of our wedding. We made a point to personally connect with as many guests as we possibly could and worked to ensure everyone was having a great time! Additionally, we shared wedding photos and videos with everyone, so they could see how they were a part of our special day.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
During dinner, Mubashir and I invited wedding guests to come up and greet us. This was an incredibly amazing experience as I realized how much love and support, we have from our family and friends. The kind words that everyone shared are still with me today and constantly replay in my head. I feel very fortunate to know how many people truly care about us and our future together.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
I had a beautiful bridal shower in Newport Beach two weeks before the wedding. I wore a white dress and had my guests dress in pastel colors. We had lunch and a tea party, which fit the Southern California weather. We also had a presentation of the bridge and groom; which was a more formal dance and “presentation to society”. I wore a pink mehndi outfit for the event.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
My best advice is to stay calm throughout the process (it can certainly seem overwhelming) and to pray to God. Everything will turn out amazingly if you just trust the process and give your full faith. While it may be nerve-inducing to have so many “eyes on you”, it is helpful to realize that this is because you have so much love from your family, community, and friends!

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
My wedding and the months leading up to it were some of the best of my life. I thank my family for their incredible support and unwavering love through the process.

We have more for you, ladies! And believe us, you don't want to miss what we have prepared for you tomorrow, so make sure to stay around!
