Irvine, California Indian Wedding by Avec Lumiere Productions

I'm in such an uplifted mood after reliving Teja & Jag's socal wedding. These lovebirds were lucky enough to have Socal Event Planners design their ultimate wedding weekend at the Hotel Irvine! To start the weekend just right, a Sangeet and Mehndi night was in order and this couple did not disappoint and celebrated with lots of dance performances and mehndi designs to commemorate the union. It is an emotional moment when the bride starts to get ready for such a special occasion, My Fair Bride dolled up our lovely Maharani and created a stunning look with a bun adorned with white flowers and a long gorgeous braid complementing the traditional look. Avec Lumiere Productions was there to capture a romantic first look between our duo and Global Photography has the story through images in our Platinum Blog, today! Maharani Teja was looking glamorous and I love her golden kamarbandh! Summer in California is wonderful and Teja & Jag celebrated an outdoor wedding under a beautiful mandap decorated by the professional hands of Deepti's Florals Designs & Mandaps. The night concluded with a lively reception thanks to the beats of 3D Sounds who also complemented the ambiance with romantic lighting. The guests were fueled with delicious food by Manohar's Delhi Palace and I wish I was there to take a bit! Join me in sunny California to relive Teja & Jag's highlight film by Avec Lumiere Productions!

Have a nice Memorial Weekend.

Hicksville, NY Guyanese Hindu Wedding by MaxPhoto NY

Today, we feature the unique Indo-Guyanese wedding of Amrita and Anthony in New York! For two high school sweethearts, what could be more fitting than exchanging vows in a lush wedding celebration at the premier venue Antun's by Minar! Our talented bride beautifully executed her self-planned wedding and looked stunning on a bright crystal lehenga set. Amrita joined her charming groom Anthony at a fantastic floral mandap designed by Royal Charms Inc., which showcased joyful colors like yellow and hot pink! The bright colors prevailed during the entire celebrations including the whimsical cushion jeweled wedding cake, designed by Cakes by Stefania’s pastry team, it was sliced by the newlyweds at their glitzy and glamorous wedding party! This Indian-Caribbean wedding paid homage to the couple’s heritage and entirely reflected the bride and groom personalities. The intricate rituals, blessings, and festivities of the union were captured by MaxPhoto NY in a beautiful video footage that will make this couple remember all the best moments of their grand day! Check out their wedding video below!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met in Thomas Edison High school in October of 2005. I literally felt like our souls reached out to one another at eye contact and just knew this was it.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Anthony took me to see the Empire State Building one evening on October 10th 2015. It was the Eve of our 10 year anniversary. We were looking out to the beautifully lit city of NYC when at the stroke of midnight (our 10 year anniversary) he told me how much I meant to him and how happy I made him and how much he loved me and he then got down on one knee and proposed!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I am a control freak with OCD who never likes to accept help. I planned my entire wedding by myself, hand picking every single detail with Anthony. I handmade everything I could to save cost such as favors, programs and I even decorated my own Henna Sangeet night.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I went to browse a store in Richmond Hill called Sanskriti Inc. And with no intention of buying I fell in love with an outfit. I didn't want to rush and purchase at the first stop but once I tried it on and my mother who was with me started to cry, I knew this was the one.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I think the most enjoyable part of the planning was hand making my centerpieces. I purchased everything and had one evening where my sister's, mom, sister in law and my two 4-year-old nieces at the time help me paint and put it together. It warmed my heart to know my nieces had a hand In helping me put the finishing touch on my centerpieces.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The guesses loved the vibrant colors of the decor done by non-other than Hasina Ahmed of Royal Charms!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Well, there are 2 things, When my family " gave " me away during kanyadan and Anthony kept sneaking little kisses on the cheek whenever he could!

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
I LOVED my decor especially my isle and my flowers at the head and foot of my isle. The colors were a bright fuscia pink with pops of red and yellow. I also loved that I was able to do it a little differently and have my ceremony and reception in the same day, even though that isn't a traditional way to do it in Guyanese Hindu weddings. I loved my reception outfit.  Instead of wearing the American white wedding dress, I wanted to keep to my custom as much as possible and instead wore a white crystal lengha.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
When planning your wedding Be true to your self as a couple in terms of style and budget which is extremely important.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
I had a very special detail on my synthetic brooch bouquet, which was my grandfather's picture, who passed away the year before.

Montego Bay, Jamaica Indian Fusion Wedding by MaxPhoto NY

Let’s set off to a dreamy Caribbean destination, Jamaica! The breathtaking island was the perfect location for Renita and Andrew to have their dream wedding. Thankfully, MaxPhoto NY also packed their cameras and traveled to paradise to record the lovely union! I love how these two posed barefoot during their beachside photo shoot, you can a take a closer look at all these timeless pics as they are all featured in our Platinum Guide Blog! The bride and groom chose the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites and its sunny beaches as the spot to hold an idyllic ceremony where they exchanged vows and started the most important chapter in their lives. The soft color palette of the bridesmaids and flower girl dresses looked beautiful in the summer sun. The stunning bride Renita was all dolled up in a perfect white gown and groom Andrew wore a beige and white relaxed attire that totally matched a beach wedding. As the sun fell down, the fun part arrived! All guests were invited to a gorgeous beachfront tent beautifully decorated by Elegant Floral Design to party and dance the night away! The festive atmosphere was so energetic that our fearless couple decided to jump into the water with their besties for some fun snaps to remember forever! If you want to see more about these indelible memories I encourage you to hit play to the film below!

It was our 7 year anniversary (5/4/16) and Andrew reserved the rooftop area overlooking the empire state building (which lit up red that night) and surprised me with all of our close friends.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We went about planning our wedding along with Shivie of platinum celebrations. He made planning seamless and fun for us. Once we told him we wanted to have the ceremony in our backyard followed by a celebration he was able to guide us. Our theme was simple, orange blue and gold. We had our mandap made custom by elegant floral design. I wanted a circular mandap which Sandra at elegant floral had no problem doing. All other decor Sandra did for us. Makeup by Beauty by tamanna. Clothes and jewels wore by both bride groom and wedding party all by lotus bazaar.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
My bridal lengha I purchased from Lotus Bazaar. Kavita, the owner did a fantastic job working with me. I told her I wanted something different. She was able to find me a length in red with mirror and stone work. The jewels were all specific to my outfit and she was able to find me the pieces I wanted. My Bridesmaid and Groomsmen outfit I was able to mix and match to find the perfect piece.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
We had fun with planning because we brought everything to our backyard. Decor, Mandap, Tent, Entry way. Every detail was important and special to us. We wanted our guest to feel the love and our families to both enjoy the celebration together after the ceremony.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Both of our favorite moment was the first time we saw each other. He was standing under the mandap, and I was entering the tent/mandap. It was the first time we saw each other in days and that moment was special for both of us.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
After our hindu ceremony we caught a flight and did it all again in Montego Bay, Jamaica. We exchanged vows and had our reception on the beach. We had a steel pan band after the ceremony with cocktails and then guest joined us for the reception on the beach. We had a Jamaican buffet, Jamaican fruit cake with fresh flowers where we danced the night away.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Have fun during planning with your other half and take it all in the day of your wedding because in a blink it's all over!
