Chester, VA Indian Wedding by Whiddon Productions

Grab a tissue, Maharanis! Whiddon Productions shared with us a magical wedding video and I can truly feel all the love that surrounded Ani and Dev during their wedding festivities. They had a colorful Sangeet night where their family and friends gathered to celebrate our couple. It's amazing to see every family member and friend get involved and dance along like one big family, right in the feels! The wedding ceremony started off with a joyous baraat where Raja Dev arrived in a white carriage only fairytales can describe, a dancing crowd welcomed him and took him to meet his bride at the Cultural Center of India. This baraat was so energetic that I was dancing in my seat along the Bollywood beats! Maharani Ani was a showstopper in a red and gold lengha perfectly accessorized with kundan jewelry and a marvelous tikka to adorn her graceful updo. She was carried like a true Maharani in a golden doli to where prince charming Dev was waiting for her under a warmly lighted mandap with red and gold hues. Only Kalash Decorators could pull off something like this! Ani and Dev got ready for their reception and Kalash Decorators surprised them once again with a beautiful sweethearts stage with white and purple draping making it the perfect backdrop for our couple to toast with their families. Bollywood DJs lighted the ballroom with a romantic ambiance perfect to dance the night away along their perfectly curated playlist. Rasoi made sure the guests were fueled with delicious food to party until the wee hours of the night and Sugar & Salt provided a gorgeous golden and burgundy tier cake to satisfy any sweet tooth in the house. Hit play and relive this weet affair beautifully captured by Whiddon Productions

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
One of our mutual family friends shared his bio and did the same on his side. We started chatting and after a week or so we decided to meet. First meeting, was nice and fun I had a specific mind set that what kind of a guy he would be based on the picture I saw on his bio. But, he was completely different matured, funny, had a good sense of humor and most importantly caring. After, few meetings or so I had this feeling that he is the one. He had everything that I wanted to be in my man. I always felt protected with him and could see the future with him.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I did not had a specific color for my wedding dress, but I wanted a traditional one with a modern touch. My designer knows my style and the colors that I like so it was a easy process. I told her what vision I had in my mind and she made a beautiful dress.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the planning process was planning everything out with your family and how everybody gets involved, excited, and shows their love towards you.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The particularly loved the food, DJ, and the decor thought out all the wedding events.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
One of a special moments that constantly replays in my mind from my wedding. Is when the priest announced us a husband and wife for the first time. It's just a different kind of a feeling that is hard to describe in words.

Happy Tuesday, Maharanis!

Cleveland, OH Indian Wedding by Veda Films

Shasi and Rupesh’s Indian wedding bash at the LaMalfa was truly a labor of love, and kicked off with a rainbow hued sangeet bursting with color and vibrancy. Next up was the ceremony, which began with a bang with Rupesh’s energetic baraat. Rarely have we seen such an infectiously joyful baraat procession. Shasi and Rupesh’s loved ones definitely know how to dance, and we smiled from ear to ear when witnessing the pure euphoria parading down the streets of Cleveland. Once we viewed the decor setup for the ceremony, we were impressed! Bindiya Decor did a fab job festooning the space with a different aesthetic for each individual event, and we loved the romantic ambiance they created for the couple’s sacred vows. The pristine white mandap couldn’t have been prettier, and featured ethereal draping and red and gold accents that perfectly coordinated with Shasi’s royal lehenga. She resembled a goddess in an embellished ruby gown and bombshell makeup. Handsome Rupesh was awestruck with her beauty as she made her way down the aisle to him. Next up was the glittering reception extravaganza that was filled to the brim with sparkling candles and lavender luminescence. As expected, the night descended into a rocking dance party in which Shasi, Rupesh, and all their guests showed off their incredible moves. To witness all the joy, watch this beautiful film by Veda Films!

Hope you enjoyed that lovely film. Have a great Tuesday!

Philadelphia, PA Indian Wedding by Lightyear Studio

Today’s film feature is shot by Lightyear Studio celebrating Brinda and Sunny and emphasizes all things glam. High-end fashion, quintessential wedding decor, and stunning moments are all captured so whimsically in each clip. It’s weddings like these, Maharanis, that our hearts truly leap for. After all, what girl doesn’t love a prepossessing Indian bride? Sonia C ensured that our bride was absolutely gorgeous as she walked down the aisle at the DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia Center City. Traditionally, the vidaii is a sad part of an Indian wedding, however, this Maharani switched it up a notch. "I know traditionally a vidaiI is a somber moment but we decided from the start that's not what we wanted. We have only reasons to celebrate! It's our day to become husband and wife as well as the day two families become one. Bubbles were handed out to our friends and they blew them as we walked out to exit the ballroom. Everyone was smiling, laughing, celebrating and that's exactly what we wanted for our friends and family!" At the reception party, both Partyland Event Design Boutique and Askhar Dholis ensured that the crowd was surrounded by greatness. Hit play for all the star-studded memories.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

Sunny and I met several years ago in Philly. The Chicago native was making his way to Philly for Dental School interviews. A mutual friend reached out, letting me know her friend was going to be in Philly but he's new to the city - "do you mind if he reaches out to you if he needs anything or questions?" "Yeah, go for it!" Fast forward a few weeks, Sunny makes his debut in Philly and we decide to meet up for ice cream. He was new to Philly so the least I could do is get ice cream with him...and my other friend I dragged with me, just to make sure Sunny doesn't get the wrong idea. The three of us had a great time and parted ways. I moved out of Philly and Sunny moved in. Next time I saw him was a year later at Starbucks then again on a bus in Atlanta with his best friend. Fast forward a few years this time, I hung out with him again but this time it was completely different. Our conversations, our interactions - everything was of butterflies and that "new" feeling. Now, years after our first encounter, we're married yet the butterflies and the "new" feeling still remain.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

I spent the entire previous day helping Sunny shot for his new apartment. Safe to say I was exhausted by the end of the day! One of my best friends, Pria, texted me earlier asking me to pick her up from the airport Sunday morning and get breakfast so of course, I said yes! As I was leaving, I asked Sunny if he wanted to come with me to this "really good" bagel place Pria was taking me to - he loves bagels! Why wouldn't he want to come?! He declined and said he was hanging out with a few friends but "they want to do lunch so ask Pria if she wants to come!" I picked up Pria, took her home to drop off her things, then we walked to the bagel place. Turns out, they had minimal options so we started roaming and found something better. She then told me she wanted to meet up for a bit with her boyfriend at a coffee shop a few blocks down. I told her I was going to tag along, why not?! We started walking toward the middle of City Hall and I saw a sign in the distance - I was thinking it was either an artist or protest. As I was walking in the 90 degree weather, Pria stared slowing down so I turned back and asked her to "hurry up - it's hot!" Then I see a really well dressed man standing in the middle. STILL didn't think anything of it until I got closer and saw that this "well dressed man" was Sunny! The sign: "The One Where She Says..." a reference to my favorite show, Friends! He had a photographer, a new outfit for me to change into (plus perfect fitting shoes!), and another one of my best friends, all the way from London! It was just the perfect proposal - I was completely blown away!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

I have two - the first was when the antarpat was dropped. On the back of the antarpat, facing Sunny, I had a message written "Hello my love, Get ready for forever. Love, your almost wife." However, even with this, I knew Sunny would be fully equipped with a silly face as it would be dropped so to counter that, I had a silly expression ready as well. The antarpat was dropped and all of the groomsmen were standing with Sunny in heart-shaped sunglasses and Sunny was holding the heart eyes emoji. I know Sunny well enough to expect a funny face but I was NOT expecting all of that. It was a great moment and Lightyear did a great job capturing that!

Second - vidai. I know traditionally a vidai is a somber moment but we decided from the start that's not what we wanted. We have only reasons to celebrate! It's our day to become husband and wife as well as the day two families become one. Bubbles were handed out to our friends and they blew them as we walked out to exit the ballroom. Everyone was smiling, laughing, celebrating and that's exactly what we wanted for our friends and family

See you tomorrow!

The venue of choice for Anisha and Milan was the Fontainbleau Miami, and the savvy couple brought in planning and design visionaries from Sonal J. Shah Events to execute every lux detail. Fab makeup artists from Style by Susmita perfected Anisha’s look with doe eyes and crimson red lips, making this bride shine as brightly as a diamond.
