Happy Monday Maharanis! We’ll ease you into the week with another fabulous Indian wedding highlight! Maharani Manisha wed her beau Anand at The Imperia with all of the cinematic magic captured by PhotosMadeEz. And we’re not exaggerating when we say this clip epitomizes all the glitz and glam that put Indian weddings in a league of their own! For the ceremony, Flawless Beauty by Pauline adorned the bride with dazzling hair and makeup that complemented her silken red and golden sari. Such a bombshell look! Dipti Desai from Bridal Henna Artist created the most ornate henna designs that provided the cherry on top of Manisha’s picture perfect Indian bridal look. In anticipation of the wedding ceremony, Anand’s baraat ceremony shut down the streets of Somerset, led by the banging beats of DJ Sunny Entertainment. This energetic team also provided the DJ duties and lighting for the multi day events. Wedding Design Decor decorated both the wedding and reception with florals by Anderson Flowers, to resemble the most decadent of Indian palaces. Seriously, you’ve got to check out this spectacular decor for yourself; every detail is out of this world breathtaking! Guests had the absolute time of their lives, and this is one film you can’t miss. You can feel the love that radiates from the couple and we wish them years of loving matrimony!

You’ll be swooning for days after viewing this cinematic clip of Bani and Ronak’s NorCal Sikh wedding extravaganza by Aperina Studios. This gorgeous duo spoke some of the most romantic declarations to each other we’ve ever heard, and we love how in love they are! And we are positively drooling over the blingtastic looks featured on our Maharani and her Raja. Bani wore glittering gown after glittering gown, with each designer creation more fabulous than the last. The artistry and craftsmanship in each piece was inspiring, and perfectly displays the splendor of Indian weddings! Maharani Bani shone bright like a diamond throughout the film in hair and makeup by Make Up by Yeya, mehndi by Mehndi Designer (Neeta Sharma), and her sensational lehengas. We are in total awe. Brides to be: We urge you to hurry and let the fashion inspo in the clip wash over you. We promise you’ll thank us! On top of the major fashion moments, the clip was brimming with fabulous decor, sentimental moments, and a dance party that wouldn’t stop! Guests grooved at the festivities 'til the wee hours of the morning, and the bash at the Santa Clara Marriott was the epitome of a black tie caliber event with Bollywood pizzazz! Oh so dreamy, right Maharanis? We'll see you all tomorrow with another gorg wedding film!
The dynamic duo of Snehali and Anish got married in sophisticated Gujarati style. Vivacious Snehali preferred simplicity instead of incorporating tons of glitter and bling into her wedding. However, just because she craved a more subdued aesthetic doesn’t mean the celebrations weren’t filled to the brim with sparkle! Snehali and Anish’s cinematic love story was captured beautifully by PhotosMadeEz. The quintessential connection between this lovely couple is so inspiring. We heard it in the pureness of their family and friends' voices as they gushed about the lovebirds through this highlight. Snehal’s choice in bridal wear included vibrant colors such as a ruby ceremony lehenga and cerulean reception gown. She was sensationally adorned in beautiful jewels and henna, and we approve of every gorg look! After all, when else do you get to flaunt your inner Bollywood diva? The bride’s beauty squad was spearheaded by BeautybyHP and Artist Makeup Academy who ensured that not a pleat or bobby pin was out of place. The ceremony and reception took place at the Westmount Country Club and was transformed into a chic haven by Wedding Design and MM Celebrations. The celebrations blasted off into a high octane dance party when the thumping of Bollywood music by Medley Entertainment and DJ Gaurav began rocking the venue’s walls. We’re very excited to share this film with you, so revel in the beauty captured by PhotosMadeEz by clicking play below! And read on for our interview with the Main Maharani herself!
How did you meet your Raja and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met Anish on the trip to Canada, Spring Break of my sophomore year at Rutgers. He knew I was the one because he came back home immediately and told our friend Hetal and Ryan, “I found that special person!”
Do you have a super romantic proposal story or engagement memory?
We were engaged in Dominican Republic. We went there to celebrate his dad's 60th birthday. We stayed there for seven days; he did everything I had ever wanted to do on the trip like horseback riding on the beach. He told him his dad hired a photographer for family pictures so he was going down to meet him, i walked in couple minutes later and his nephew was holding a sign that said " Follow the trail of roses" and I knew it then! There he was standing in the sand waiting for me! He proposed, of course I said yes! And said I would like to call my mom. Of course my mom didn't pick up the phone because in minutes he asked me to look up saying "look my parents got a few strangers to bring out the congratulations sign". And when they put the sign down, I was the happiest girl alive (not that I already wasn't) - my parents and brother were there! Along with our best friends! It was a beautiful proposal!
Tell us about your wedding style. When you sat down to really figure out how your dream wedding would look, did you start with one central color, a palette of colors, or a theme that served as your inspiration?
I just knew I wanted simple and classy. I didn't like bling, simplicity was the key!
What did you enjoy most about the process of planning your dream Indian wedding?
I enjoyed shopping in India as I got to spend time with my family in India.
How did you choose your lenghas? Did you work with a certain designer? Did you spend hours on the internet first?
I wanted something very simple and of course the parents were against it and wanted me to wear something heavier. But I knew this lengha was the one when my brother said this is it!
Looking back, was there a really special moment that you remember from your wedding that stands out as the most magical?
Enjoying every bit of the ceremony and reception as we did not stress one bit thanks to our wonderful families, vendors, and of course the coordinators!
Have a wonderful Monday Maharanis!
Harleen and Shravan are such a sweet, playful duo, and are the ultimate Disney and Harry Potter fans. They combined their sophisticated style with some childhood throwbacks to result in a dynamic wedding weekend filled to the brim with sparkle and shine! We were dazzled by all the glittering accessories and decor at their sangeet at Westfields Marriott and the Sikh and Hindu wedding ceremonies at Lansdowne Resort. We also loved that the couple and their loved ones are such fantastic dancers and were treated to a bevy of hip hop, bhangra, and bharatnatyam style boogying throughout the weekend! Also, we squealed in delight over Harleen and Shravan's reception seating chart that was organized by different Disney movie titles! We would have roared in happiness had we been assigned to their the "Lion King" table. Maharanis, we're seeing couple's getting super creative with their table numbering schema, and movie titles are such a perfect way to showcase your personality while also delighting your guests! With so much talent in one room, guests were raring to dance it up to the banging sounds of DCs Dynasty. Harleen and Shravan’s bash was a magical showcase of their deep love mixed with childlike wonder, and we're swooning over every sentimental detail. Kudos to the creative couple for dreaming up such a violet hued fantasyland and to Dream Shaadi for their seamless planning skills. Enjoy the sparkling wedding film by Photographick Studios. We hope you all had the most fabulous Fourth of July! We know that some of you may be exhausted after yesterday’s festive outings, so we have the perfect clip to pep you up! How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met through a mutual friend in 2011 at George Mason University. In October of 2015, we both decided to take our five years of friendship and grow into a loving relationship. After dating for few months we both knew we were made for each other.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Planning our wedding was not hard for me as my husband is Karan Kapoor who is one of the main DJs with Dynasty AV & Entertainment (aka DCSDynasty). He planned 99% of the details as he wanted to take the burden of my shoulder and only wanted me to care about my wedding outfit, and hair & makeup. He is very familiar with all the venues and vendors. He had asked me a few questions and learned about my ideas, thoughts, and details about venue. He had presented a total of 18 venues to me from which we narrowed it down to one (The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City, VA). I wanted our decor to be very elegant and classy. I wanted our wedding ambiance to be a mixture of white and gold. Tall trees with hanging candles, and of course a lot of flowers. My overall experience was amazing with the Venue, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, DJ Services, Lighting, and Cake.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I had many different ideas when it came to selecting my bridal lengha. I really wanted my bridal lengha to be have combination of pink and amber color. I visited India last year and had my lengha costumed made with the design I had in my mind. As far as reception dress goes, my mother in law, Karan's mom designed my Reception outfit which I did not get to try on till the week before our wedding. It turned out to be fabulous.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the planning process was that I did not have to research or look for the vendors. My husband did a lot of the homework and most of the running around. He always came up with new ideas. Which was helpful and we both had to sit down with our selected vendors to finalize the details.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
A really special moment in our wedding that constantly replays in my mind is when we both saw each other morning of our wedding and looked at each other in tears. We both knew we couldn't wait to get married and spend rest of lives together.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be would be enjoy every single moment up till your wedding.
Thank you Puneet! Have a lovely Wednesday Maharanis. We'll see you all tomorrow!
