Rarely do we experience so many emotions while watching a wedding film, but Aishwarya and Amit are a darling, so in love couple and we were revelling in every moment of their union. After witnessing the highlight celebrating the duo, we must say that not a single tissue was left in the box. The bride was stunning in each clip, with help from the magic brushes of Belladev Studio and henna from Anjana Agrawal. Maharani Aishwarya has an eye for fashion and each ensemble from her henna night, outdoor shoot, Indian ceremony, and reception at The Ballantyne Hotel and Lodge were pure designer masterpieces. There was no shortage of fun, family and luxury at these festivities, which was clearly evident in this flick. The trusty steed for the baraat was provided by Southern Breezes Carriages, with Amit Vasi at the turntables all weekend long. Suhaag Garden was brought on to spearhead all the mind blowingly beautiful floral and decor arrangements. We know that when Suhaag Garden signs on for yet another fabulous Indian event, we're in store for some magical ambiance! Aishwarya brought on event coordinator Ayesha Mian and planners from The Ballantyne Hotel and Lodge to make sure every detail was executed to perfection in this thrilling and romantic series of events. For even more details, you can head over the full gallery of portraits by A&A Photo & Video from this special weekend. But for now, sit back and relax while you bask in all the glory of this cinematic masterpiece! For more behind the scenes deets, scroll below for our interview with Maharani Aishwarya.

Behind the Scenes Scoop From The Bride:

After graduating medical school in 2013, I moved to Charlotte to start my residency training. One night, I went out with my new friends, and someone behind me in line struck up a conversation with me. I turned around and asked “Are you talking to me?” And he was! Amit and I chatted that night about all sorts of things - his love of old vinyl records, my love for books, his Punjabi heritage, his grandpa, etc., and I felt like I was meeting someone I already knew.

The next day, my phone chimed around noon: “Hey Aishwarya, this is Amit. If you’re free tonight, I’d love to take you to dinner.” That night, I went on my very first date in Charlotte.  Before we were seated, Amit told me about another place that he wanted to take me to for brunch (my favorite weekend activity). I was so excited that he was already thinking about the next time we would be together.

During the next few years, I realized how lucky I was that my first date in this new city would also be my last one. Amit proposed to me on an autumn evening during my third year of residency.

During my chief year of residency, we began to plan our wedding. My team of planners - event coordination by Ayesha Mian, decoration and design by Suhaag Garden, and our wedding planner at Ballantyne Hotel - were instrumental in making our wedding weekend absolutely perfect.

Our wedding weekend commenced with my mehndi ceremony. This was attended by close friends and family. We had a cool front moving in that April evening, but everyone soon forgot about the weather as we started the celebration. My decor team arranged a beautiful jula for Amit and me to be seated, and this was also the perfect place for us to enjoy our Haldi ceremony the next day. Under a Carolina blue sky, our family and friends anointed us with the turmeric paste which is integral to this ceremony.

That night, the celebration really got underway with the Sangeet. My sister organized the performances for the evening, which included dances by both of our mother and fathers, as well as group dances choreographed by the bridal and groom’s parties. My sister is actually quite shy about public performances, and we had discussed her stage fright months before the wedding weekend. I know I will always remember how her dancing captivated the audience, and how much she loved me to be able to put her fears behind her and head to the dance floor.

The next day, I watched the sun rise while getting ready for my wedding ceremony. We were married during another beautiful, sunny day. I walked down the aisle under a hand-made flower canopy that my aunt and mother had created for me. I wore a gold sari and was escorted by my father and my four closest male relatives. My mother joined us as we walked to the mandap, which was all pale blush, ivory, and roses. It was even more than I had ever imagined.

The wedding festivities concluded with a black tie reception later that evening. Amit and I love to dance, and I will always remember our entrance into the wedding reception to our favorite song by K. Flay. My wedding gagra was embroidered with thousands of Swarovski crystals, and these shone and flashed as Amit twirled me and dipped me on the dance floor.  The highlight of the evening was a movie that my sister and my brother-in-law produced to tell our story. My sister ended the evening with a slideshow she had put together with memories from our baby pictures to our engagement photos, so that guests from both sides could truly know us as a couple.

We ended the night as we usually do - last ones standing on the dance floor. It was the happiest weekend of my life, and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Thanks Aishwarya! Excuse us while we hit replay. Have the most fabulous weekend Maharanis!

Phoenix, AZ Fusion Indian Wedding by Amoroma Productions

Amoroma Productions brings us Patricia and Prabhav’s vibrant fusion wedding extravaganza! The first moments of the clip shows the joyful duo preparing themselves for their sunshine drenched ceremony. While Prabhav boogied on his trust steed from KC's Classic Carriage Company, Maharani Patricia sparkled under the cloudless sky in pure hues of red, blue, and yellow. Apropos Creations created an intricately draped ceremony space, and the beautiful Patricia made a showstopping entrance under the gauzy fabric. Brides to be, we think that a draped entrance is such a fresh option compared to the more tradition candle or rose petal strewn aisles, especially if you’re having an outdoor soiree! After Patricia and Prabhav were minted as Mr. and Mrs., they exchanged their traditional Indian garb for black tie finery! Patricia's gown was modern mixed some with inspiration from the jazz era. We are obsessed with every part of this look! Coupled with a glimmering antique headpiece, glam curls by Makiaj Beauty and mehndi by Henna by Purvi, Patricia was positively breathtaking. Guests were treated to a reception ballroom drenched in golds, blues, and tons of blooms at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge designed by Apropos Creations. Everyone went wild when the beloved newlyweds performed their sensational first dance, and swarmed the dance floor when In the Mix Entertainment blasted the latest and greatest Bollywood club bangers. Watch the cinematic clip below, and take a look at a bounty of beautiful images by Light Rain Images awaiting in the full gallery!

Beautiful right? We'll see you bright and early with another fabulous film tomorrow morning!

Lake Lanier, GA Indian Wedding by Ineffable Studios

Natasha and Sumit beautifully melded their Marathi and Rajasthani traditions for a dazzling wedding weekend in Lake Lanier, GA. The sweet duo met in the Windy City and flash forward a few years, were engaged in equally sweet fashion! During a visit to an apple orchard, Sumit got down on one knee and proposed to his love with a dazzling ring nestled in an apple shaped ring box. Precious! It was important to this duo to honor their families and cultures, and their resultant wedding festivities captured in this film by Ineffable Photography was a rich testament to their upbringing. Maharani Natasha donned customized fashions with bombshell hair and makeup created by Gunn Glamour Hair, Makeup & Bridal and Erica Bogart Beauty. This beauty slayed every single one of her sensational bridal looks. At the newlyweds' reception at the Peachtree Pointe Amphitheater at Lanier Islands Resort, Jim White Designs festooned the luxurious quarters in lux blooms and flickering candles. The party really rocketed off to another level when the stellar DJ crew from Indaglow Productions whipped the joyous dance floor into a frenzy all night long! RAG Artistry captured all the action packed photos that you can peruse in our gallery. And scroll down for our interview with Natasha for all the behind the scenes deets!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

Sumit and I met in Chicago at the wedding of a mutual long-time close family friend. My younger sister was actually sitting between the two of us at the reception when we first met. After the three of us talked for a bit, she conveniently removed herself from the situation. We quickly realized how much we had in common and that we both graduated from University of Michigan!

After a few months of getting to know each other and bridging long distance, I knew Sumit was "the one" during one of his visits to DC. I was pleasantly surprised that I could completely be myself around him and that we were really never at a loss for words or laughter while we were together.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

Our families had been spending more and more time together before Sumit proposed, and so we all flew to my childhood home in Michigan for a relaxing Fall weekend packed with some of my favorite things - including a visit to the cider mill. The day of the proposal was really just like any other day; we all woke up, enjoyed a brunch spread, and got ready to head over to Blake's Orchard. Before I knew it, Sumit was down on one knee with the ring in an apple-shaped box (we were at an apple orchard after all)! As soon as I said yes, we were surrounded by our families just like I had always imagined.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I knew I wanted to wear a lengha but it was important to me that my bridal look incorporated my Marathi traditions. Green and orange are common colors worn by Marathi brides but they are usually worn in the form of a paithani silk sari. I had my lengha custom designed to reflect paithani borders across the blouse and at the bottom of the lengha, and all of the embroidery included birds and peacocks in true Marathi fashion!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

The most enjoyable part of the planning process was finding a way to blend our Marathi and Rajasthani traditions and to also reflect the traditional elements of weddings we had attended in India. Sumit and I put a lot of weight on each detail and it was so exciting to create our vision together! From our cabin Mehndi night, to an outdoor lakefront Sangeet, and the Amphitheater wedding day, we had so much fun adding elements of our personalities to each event. With the help of our parents and siblings, and the exceptional execution by our wedding team, it was our perfect dream wedding come true.

Thank you Natasha! We hope all you Maharanis have a sparkling weekend!

Leesburg, VA Indian Wedding by Photographick Studios

Harleen and Shravan are such a sweet, playful duo, and are the ultimate Disney and Harry Potter fans. They combined their sophisticated style with some childhood throwbacks to result in a dynamic wedding weekend filled to the brim with sparkle and shine! We were dazzled by all the glittering accessories and decor at their sangeet at Westfields Marriott and the Sikh and Hindu wedding ceremonies at Lansdowne Resort. We also loved that the couple and their loved ones are such fantastic dancers and were treated to a bevy of hip hop, bhangra, and bharatnatyam style boogying throughout the weekend! Also, we squealed in delight over Harleen and Shravan's reception seating chart that was organized by different Disney movie titles! We would have roared in happiness had we been assigned to their the "Lion King" table. Maharanis, we're seeing couple's getting super creative with their table numbering schema, and movie titles are such a perfect way to showcase your personality while also delighting your guests! With so much talent in one room, guests were raring to dance it up to the banging sounds of DCs Dynasty. Harleen and Shravan’s bash was a magical showcase of their deep love mixed with childlike wonder, and we're swooning over every sentimental detail. Kudos to the creative couple for dreaming up such a violet hued fantasyland and to Dream Shaadi for their seamless planning skills. Enjoy the sparkling wedding film by Photographick Studios. Reston, VA Indian Wedding by Photographick Studios

At Maharani Weddings, we love a good Bollywood affair! Prepare yourself for Tulika and Kunal’s exuberant wedding extravaganza beautifully captured by Photographick Studios. We were mesmerized by the gorgeous bride, who sparkled from head to toe in her red lehenga and twinkling jewels. This wedding is a perfect example of the saying “beauty is in the details,” and our jaws dropped when we caught sight of the majestic mandap by Dharma Events. The couple’s ceremony was a tearjerker, and it was a joy to watch this exuberant twosome tie the knot. They’ve come a long way from their college days of IMing and gchatting! The next day, loved ones gathered to celebrate the newlyweds in a lavish reception bash at the Hyatt Reston. Again, Dharma Events pulled out all the stops to deck the ballroom out in tons of sparkling accoutrements. And kudos to the planning and design coordinators from Dream Shaadi for helping the newlyweds pull off a seamlessly executed celebration. We were struck by all the talent apparent within this bash.  Tulika, Kunal, and their loved ones are such fabulous dancers, and the dance floor rocking out to DynastyAV’s melodies was a joy to watch! Maharanis, grab a cup of iced chai on this toasty summer morning and relive the magnificent matrimonial film by Photographick Studios!

Excuse us while we hit the repeat button! We'll see you tomorrow Maharanis. :)
