Bridgewater, NJ Indian Wedding by NYNJ Photography

Hello Maharanis! Today we've got a heartwarming treat to share with you, thanks to the marvelous team at NYNJ Photography! They captured every enchanting moment of Bianca and Nirmal's New Jersey Indian wedding in a moving same day edit video! The event was held at the lovely Bridgewater Marriott, and featured delicious catering by Chand Palace and incredible decorations by Rangoli Weddings! We were especially dazzled by the magnificent mandap (5:55), which looked ultra regal with glowing white pillars and gorgeous embroidered curtains! See the magic for yourself in the video below!

Maharani on meeting her Raja and how she knew he was "the one":

"Nirmal and I met through mutual friends in college. Although we were briefly introduced at a friend's house, we didn't truly connect until we went on a trip with all of our friends to Cancun, Mexico. I remember our first conversation there resulted in Nirmal climbing a palm tree to get a coconut so that I could have some coconut water to drink. Once we returned from our trip, we grew closer and realized that we had something special between us and our fairytale began. Nirmal has been just as amazing of a friend, boyfriend, fiancé, and husband as he was from the day we met. He is truly my Prince Charming."

On the romantic proposal:

"Nirmal's proposal was a dream come true and one of the most unexpected surprises of my life. Nirmal has been very big on surprises during our relationship and this one was definitely one for the books. Nirmal proposed on Thanksgiving weekend which was the weekend before his birthday. I planned out activities in NYC to celebrate but little did I know, Nirmal was planning a proposal all along. After lunch, when we went to go meet up with some friends, we walked up onto a rooftop to find a giant heart made of rose petals on the floor with a little red box in the center. Nirmal led me towards the center of the heart and he poured his heart out, telling me how much he loved me and how much he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He told me to turn around and when I did, his 2 year old nephew was running towards me holding a rose and wearing a sweater that read 'Will you be my Kaki?' Then, when I turned back toward Nirmal, he was down on one knee with my dream ring in his hand. He asked me to be his wife and we joyfully embraced. I had just agreed to marry the love of my life and I could not be happier!"

On choosing her bridal lengha:

"I am absolutely in love with my lengha. I never had a clear idea of what I wanted but I knew three things: I love cut work, I wanted a train and I wanted it to be different and unique. Lucky for me, Bollywood and Oscar designer Dinesh Ramsay works with Della in New Jersey to custom design lenghas for brides in the tristate area. Della sat down with me and helped me sketch out the perfect, most amazing, wedding lengha. It is the most unique piece I have ever seen and I am so grateful for all the hard work that went into it. I could not have asked for better guidance or product than what I received from Della and the Dinesh Ramsay team. Together we came up with a three layer lengha with the top layer in full red cut work, a white middle layer and a red bottom layer. The whole lengha was covered in gold and pearl work as well. It is truly a work of art which combines both the traditional purpose of a Gujarati panetar and and the style of a modern day bride."

On the most magical moment of the wedding:

"Looking back, there is one moment during the wedding ceremony that stands out more than any other. Once we completed our last phera and competed to see who would sit down first and therefore 'rule the household' Nirmal's mischievous side surfaced. Instead of allowing me to sit down in my chair, he sat down himself and pulled me into his lap. He turned to me, gave me a thumbs up and said 'compromise babe.' Both our families and all the guests could not stop laughing. It is definitely a moment we won't forget."

Closing thoughts from the bride:

"I loved every aspect of our wedding but two things I was most excited about was my Mendhi design and my bangles.

My mendhi artist, Devangi is so talented and was so wonderful to work with. She asked me if I wanted anything special in my mendhi. I told her that I wanted a Captain America shield since Nirmal's favorite super hero is Captain America and a Cinderella carriage because my favorite Disney princess is Cinderella. She truly delivered! She incorporated both aspects into my mendhi in a way that kept the design traditional and added some flare that was unique to our relationship.

My bangles also added a personal touch to my wedding look because they were made special in Dehli with our names written on them in rhinestones!"

We'll have another super sweet shaadi tomorrow, so come back to see it!

Jersey City, NJ Indian Wedding by PhotosMadeEz

The sweetest father/daughter moments are about to hit your wedding-lovin' hearts, my dears, because the fabulously talented PhotosMadeEz has captured a delightful collection of moving memories from Indian bride, Mehak's, wedding day that are sure to make you feel all the feels. The Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson hosted Mehak's Desi dream wedding day, where she tied the knot with the Raja of her dreams, Subin, and there's no shortage of breathtaking highlights from the newlyweds' big day in this remarkable reel. Aside from tugging at our heartstrings, we loved watching as SV Bridal Concepts by Sanjana Vaswani helped the blushing bride get ready to say I do with her hair and makeup expertise. Mehak was a vision in her red lengha as she made her way down the aisle of her outdoor ceremony — towards a stunning mandap by Design House Decor, might I add! The reception moments are filled with more magic than a magician's hat and you'll have to see it all for yourself!

Maharani Mehak, on meeting the Raja of her dreams, Subin:

"We met back in high school, he had just moved to our town and was new. We were introduced to each other at a family friend's house and became friends during high school and remained friends throughout college. However, it wasn't till medical school that we started dating, it was the moment when he flew all the way from medical school to surprise me for my 23rd birthday in medical school just to spend the weekend with me that I knew he was the one and that he was the perfect match for me!"

On Subin's memorable proposal:

"We both live 6 hours apart and he had told me that for Valentine'sDay, which also happens to be my birthday, he was unable to come that year. Though I was a little bummed I completely understood. I was all set to go out to dinner in NYC with my family for my birthday, on our way to the restaurant my dad suggested we take a stop in Washington Square Park since the weather was not too bad, as I stepped out of the care I saw Subin waiting for me with a bouquet of flowers and said he surprised me for my birthday. Still, oblivious I was so happy he was there for my birthday and valentines day, at that point he suggested we take a walk in the park, we stopped in the center of the park where he stopped and asked me to marry me, needless to say I was shocked and said YES, at that point all our close family and friends came out and surprised me as well. It was definitely a memorable birthday!"

On her wedding style:

"We both always wanted something with lots of color and summer colors. For our wedding we had an outdoor ceremony and wanted something bright and colorful and went for the bright pinks. For our reception we had an idea of an enchanted night theme and initially had no idea how to start with the idea, however after meeting with our decorators our theme became a reality with an enchanted garden theme with lots of flowers, greens and lots of candles all around the hall."

On her hair and makeup:

"For my hair and makeup I went with a traditional wedding look for the wedding ceremony. I had always wanted to wear a traditional red lengha for my wedding and kept my hair simple for my wedding ceremony. For my wedding jewelry I decided to wear a Kundan set that had been my mom's and she had actually gotten to wear to her wedding, I had gotten it touched up to add a bit of my own style while in India but got to wear my something traditional that held a special sentimental value to me."

On her most memorable wedding moments:

"The moments right before the reception were special to both of us, all the stress of making sure everything went well was gone. We got to see our reception hall first and spend some time practicing our first dance, it was those few moments that we got to reflect on the amazing week we had had and just laugh over all the fun moments. It was the first time actually all week we had gotten alone time and it was just special to spend time reflecting on all the fun we had with our family and friends."

Join us tomorrow for another fabulous wedding film, my dears!
