Montego Bay, Jamaica Indian Wedding by Unique Visions Studio

Sweeties, we have extraordinary wedding footage that celebrates the union of Palak & Kevin in Montego Bay, Jamaica! The artistic wedding cinematographer, Unique Visions Studio, reveals through his lens the luxurious wedding at the exceptional Grand Palladium Jamaica! This lovely couple couldn't choose a better videographer since they always deliver a fresh, creative, and emotionally packed film. Rochelle Cheever took the lead and designed this over-the-top affair that reflected the newlyweds' exquisite taste through the alluring decor, their outfits, and everything in between! Thanks to Lamey Rosebloom's planning, this fabulous event went beyond perfection.  I love Maharani Palak's style, but her makeup and hair look created by Flawless Beauty By Pauline were especially beautiful. We adore her stunning neet mehndi design by the super talented henna artists of Henna by Urvee! Relive all the beautiful moments in the film below! You will love every detail!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
My husband and I are both in the medical profession. He is a cancer surgeon, and I am a Physician Assistant. We met on a medical mission in Kingston, Jamaica, in August 2013 when we traveled to underserved areas to provide free medical care.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
The Proposal was 100% Kevin style. It was simple and intimate. Just the two of Gizmo and us. On January 17, 2021, we returned from spending the day with Kevin's family in the Bronx. Little after 6 pm, I was getting ready to sit on the couch and have my yogurt when Kevin got down on one knee and pulled out the gorgeous ring, and asked me to marry him. There were no bells and whistles, but it was everything.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other essential details.
I hired a planner to help me. I was having a destination wedding in Jamaica so my planner was familiar with the destination and that was helpful. I found most of my vendors on Instagram, to be honest, and just reviewed their work and went with my gut feeling. I flew out my videographer, photographer, and makeup artist from the US.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I knew I wanted a white lengha to incorporate my husband's culture as well. I found a beautiful Seema Gujral lengha I fell in love with.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part would be choosing every little detail and customizing everything to my own taste and liking.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our venue, The Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa in Jamaica, was beautiful and I think the guests loved spending so many days together enjoying each other's company, partying, drinking, dancing, and celebrating our love together for 4+ days. We incorporated my husband's Jamaican roots throughout the events.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
As soon as I entered the Mandap, all of a sudden, it rained so hard. At first, I was panicking, but I looked out to my guests and saw everyone still there, embracing the rain and watching us get married regardless of having wet clothes and makeup and hair dripping down. That was truly lovely.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
I have to say the decor was effortlessly beautiful, simple, and chic. We had several DIY details such as our welcome bags, reserved seating signs, phoolon ki chadar (handmade by my best friend's sister), custom shot glasses for guests to take before taking their seat for the reception, our guestbook was a Bob Marley coffee table book, little snack bags packed with goodies flown all the way from India, custom fans for the ceremony, and each reception table was labeled as one of our favorite travel destinations.
Our flowers were imported. While Jamaica has tropical flowers, I wanted something more muted and romantic, using more pastels.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Start as early as possible
Stay organized.
Have a few point people you can rely on and assign duties; you cannot do it all.
Don't forget to enjoy each and every moment as it all passes by so fast.
On the day of the event/events, don't get hung up on things that did not go as planned; IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN.
Have a reasonable budget. Cannot have a champagne taste and a beer budget.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)

Toronto, Canada Indian Wedding by Darkroom Doctors Studios

Hello, ladies! This time we are here to share with you the captivating reception for Ratika & Rahul that was hosted in the fascinating The Guild Inn Estate. This wedding reception was like no other. The combination of colors and the exceptional floral decoration that Karma Design Studio put together for this ceremony has helped make this event elegant, but delicate and exquisite. It was the perfect complement to set the mood for this solemn and memorable event. Devika Arora and The Sapphire Hut Costume Jewelry created dreamy makeup, a classic hairstyle, and a stunning saree that were all a perfect combination to enhance Ratika's beauty.  This was a night to remember, and thanks to Darkroom Doctors Studios, who created mesmerizing scenes that our lovebirds can share with their children and grandchildren one day! The exceptional DJ from DJ KSquare played the most beautiful melody to set the perfect mood for this dance. All the attendants were delightfully watching how the newlyweds, Ratika & Rahul, moved to the beat of the most beautiful melodies, while the elegant chandelier provided the perfect spotlight to enhance this romantic, luxurious, and amazing scenery. Along with the Lipica & Madhvi, Bollywood Performers & Instructors created the perfect performance that will amaze every spectator. We are very glad to know that we can always relieve this everlasting love story by checking out the amazing video that we prepared for today!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Planning a wedding amidst a pandemic was definitely a challenge! Having my husband (my fiancé at the end) help me every step of the way made the process a lot easier and pleasant. We did explore several different vendors, but we are truly grateful for the individuals that we ultimately chose to work with. They truly made our wedding so memorable and gave us memories that we will cherish for life. Brides, just remember that have a vision and communicate that very clearly with your vendors. They will try their best to make your dream develop into reality.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I knew from the start that I wanted a maroon velvet lehenga. So... that part definitely made it a little easier for me to filter out some options. I did not have a particular style or embroidery in mind. After visiting several stores, I was able to find a lehenga that immediately stood out to me (in terms of the embroidery, patterning, etc.) however it was in the colour green. The vendors were very kind and so professional and promised me to replicate the same style of wedding dress but in my choice of colour and fabric, and so they did! It turned out exactly how I had envisioned it.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
It was definitely very enjoyable to spend each moment with my husband planning the event. He helped me every step of the way. We also got the opportunity to meet several very humble and professional vendors in the industry which was absolutely delightful.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
We were praised for the organization and the level of details we put towards making the wedding week a memorable for all. The guests absolutely loved the sangeet which was essentially like a pre-reception. Due to the pandemic, we had to make the hard decision of cancelling our reception. Nevertheless, we wanted to fulfill everything that we wanted in a reception to take place at the sangeet. We had family performances, speeches, our friend who sang us some beaitiful Bollywood songs, a fantastic DJ and a great MC hosting our event. What else could we ask for.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The ceremony! Those vows, the pandit ji sharing his words of wisdom, our loved ones sitting right across from us and blessing us with their presence, our parents holding our hands every step of the way. EVERYTHING!

We hope that you have enjoyed this journey as much as we have! Remember to stay close for more!
