Dearborn, MI Indian Wedding by Killer Creations Photography and Films

In the heart of Dearborn, Michigan, Megan & Raj's wedding was nothing short of a vibrant tapestry woven with love, tradition, and a touch of modern flair. Their Indian-themed celebration at The Henry Hotel was a testament to the beauty that unfolds when two cultures unite harmoniously.

As the sun cast its golden glow, Raj entered a traditional Baraat, arriving on a red convertible. The rhythmic beats of the dhol announced his arrival, setting the tone for the day's festivities. Not to be outdone, Megan graced the ceremony in a stunning ensemble that seamlessly blended contemporary elegance with traditional Indian motifs, turning heads and capturing hearts.

The reception was lively, with speeches that tugged at heartstrings and dances that set the floor ablaze. Megan & Raj's first dance was a mesmerizing fusion of Western ballroom grace and Bollywood flair, leaving guests in awe and setting the perfect tone for the evening. By the time the formalities were over, the only thing left was to party like there was no tomorrow. And let's say: this crowd understood the assignment. From Bollywood beats to Top 40 hits, DJ Genesis packed the floor all night. The energy? Through the roof.

Killer Creations Photography and Cinematography artfully captured every fleeting glance and joyous tear. Their keen eye for detail and storytelling prowess ensured that Megan & Raj's love story was immortalized in film and photo. Their professionalism and dedication were evident in every shot, making them an invaluable part of the celebration.

Behind the seamless flow of events was the meticulous planning of Marigold Wedding Planners. Their expertise in design and coordination transformed the venue into a dreamscape, reflecting Megan & Raj's vision to perfection. From the intricate floral arrangements to the ambient lighting, every detail was thoughtfully curated to create an unforgettable experience.

Megan's intricate bridal mehndi was an actual work of art—thanks to the talented Radhe Henna. Every delicate detail in her henna design held meaning and symbolism, adding a sentimental touch to an already unforgettable celebration. Megan's flawless bridal glow was thanks to the incredibly talented Amanie Mokdad and Hair By Rochelle J. The duo worked their magic to create a bridal look that was both timeless and modern—perfectly complementing Megan's stunning lehenga. Every detail was perfection, from bold, beautiful eyes to an elegant updo.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Our story began in 2016 when Raj sent me a Facebook message out of the blue as many mutual friends had suggested to him that we'd be compatible -- it didn't take long for sparks to fly.

From the first date, I felt I could be completely myself around Raj. He inspired me to be my best, and we discovered a deep compatibility, tackling everything from the mundane to the momentous with ease. Most importantly, Raj immediately appreciated and reciprocated my off-beat wit and playful sarcasm – a clear tell to me that he was "the one".

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
During the Holidays in our sixth year, I came home planning to attend Raj's company Christmas party...or so I thought!

Raj took me to the same spot where we had our first Valentine's day, and decorated the hall with the help of our family and friends. When we first walked in, I thought we were intruding on someone else's proposal -- little did I know!

With our favorite song playing in the background, Raj got down on one knee to propose to my surprise -- Afterwards, we had an unforgettable night celebrating with our close family and friends!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
When we began planning our wedding, our top priority was creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for our guests while still bringing our dream wedding to life. Knowing how overwhelming wedding planning can be, we took it one step at a time, breaking down the process into manageable pieces. Things fell into place beautifully from there.

We started with the venue and were lucky enough to find one that perfectly balanced our needs with the elegant atmosphere we envisioned. Next, we hired a wedding planner whose expert guidance proved invaluable. She connected us with a fantastic team of vendors, including a hair and makeup artist, caterer, DJ, photographer/videographer, and of course, a talented decor specialist.

Choosing my bridal outfit in Toronto with my family was a truly emotional moment. It was then that it really hit me – this was actually happening!

For the decor, I had always envisioned a simple yet elegant, almost regal, theme. My planner perfectly captured this vision and offered wonderful recommendations to bring it to fruition.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
At first, I envisioned a traditional maroon velvet lehenga for my wedding. However, when I found my ultimate outfit, all my preconceived notions vanished. Even though it was different from what I had imagined, it felt absolutely perfect. Wearing it, I felt like royalty -- In that moment, I knew my bridal outfit was decided.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of planning our wedding was the way it brought our families together. It truly takes a village to pull off a wedding, and we all had the same goal. Working together, we were challenged to have meaningful and honest conversations, which helped break down barriers and formalities, ultimately uniting us as one family.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Since our wedding, we've been so touched by the feedback from our guests. They especially loved the vibrant and warm atmosphere at every event, from the Mehndi to the Reception. We made it a point to keep the energy high and smiles on our faces, hoping that positive vibes were contagious and that our guests felt it, too.

We've also received rave reviews about the food. Even though we primarily served Indian dishes throughout our various events, our caterer did an incredible job of adding unique touches to each meal, keeping everything fresh and exciting!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The special moment that replays in my mind is the First Look before our wedding. After getting ready for the ceremony, our photographer escorted me into into a private area where Raj was standing with his back turned -- from there, I tapped Raj on his shoulder, and with his back to me he slowly turned around and we had the same exact reaction, of pure excitement and jaws dropped --this has easily become my favorite picture from the wedding.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Our wedding celebrations began with an intimate Haldi ceremony with close family and friends. This was followed by a vibrant and eventful Mehndi party at my family's home, officially kicking off the wedding weekend. Raj and I had a joint Mehndi, a wonderful opportunity to welcome our families and informally introduce them to each other. We played games to engage all our guests and exchanged gifts. My parents worked tirelessly to transform our home into the perfect event space, adorning it with colorful, fresh flowers to welcome everyone. We also had fireworks and a large welcome banner for Raj's family.

The Sangeet was all about vibrant color and high energy, creating a festive and celebratory atmosphere. we even incorporated custom-made Bollywood posters, replacing the actors with our our faces, like "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai." We had live food stations serving Indian street food, and a jam-packed program filled with dances from our loved ones, including a surprise performance from Raj and me.

For our reception, we chose a more sophisticated theme using neutral colors like gold and white. Heartfelt toasts from our best friends and moving speeches from our parents brought both tears of joy and laughter to our eyes. Finally, our DJ took over, and with an incredible Bollywood-American fusion mix, keeping everyone on the dance floor all night.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
While wedding planning can be challenging and demanding, it's important to take it one step at a time. This is a unique opportunity to create a truly special event, bringing together all the most important people in your lives. Prioritize what YOU want out of the experience and try to enjoy the process.

It's also essential to find a team that shares your vision and values. I was fortunate to have a strong support system to step in when needed, and vendors who expertly guided me through navigated uncharted waters.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
Early in the planning process, I sometimes questioned the value of hiring a wedding planner. Now, having gone through the experience, I can confidently say it's absolutely worth it. Especially when you're overwhelmed with the details, like timelines and itineraries, or even need expert advice on things like hair and makeup (which, as a first-time bride, I definitely did!), a good planner is invaluable.

Sweeties, with stunning details and heartfelt moments, this wedding was one for the books.

Cinnaminson, NJ Indian Wedding by House of Talent Studio

Every once in a while, a wedding comes along that feels straight out of a Bollywood movie, with just the right blend of tradition, modern elegance, and heartfelt romance. Monika & Neal's magical day at was exactly that—a cinematic masterpiece filled with vibrant colors, stunning decor, and love that left everyone spellbound. Buckle up, maharanis, because this story is sprinkled with all the "wow" moments and a pinch of humor!

Monika & Neal’s story began with a modern twist—on Coffee Meets Bagel. Neal’s charm, wit, and an impeccable bouquet game turned their first date into an unforgettable evening. The butterflies were so real, Monika probably could have started her own butterfly conservatory! Fast forward through shared laughs, late-night talks, and dreamy travel adventures, and it was clear: Neal wasn’t just a match, he was the match.

Monika, like any savvy bride-to-be, knew something was up when Neal casually packed a white blazer for their "low-key" evening in Venice. (Pro tip: Gents, a white blazer is a dead giveaway!) After a day of pasta indulgence, Neal led her to a private rose garden on the Grand Canal. Picture this: rose petals, candles, champagne, and Neal on one knee. The proposal was as dreamy as an Italian summer night, leaving Monika in tears of joy and Neal with an emphatic "yes."

Monika had dreamed of saying “I do” at The Merion long before Neal entered her life. Its luxurious Skylight Ballroom, bathed in natural light, set the stage for their morning ceremony. With Florista Decor weaving magic into every detail, the venue transformed into a floral paradise. Traditional elements like the intricately designed mandap blended seamlessly with modern touches, leaving guests awestruck. Gold elephants, fresh blooms, and elegant drapery—Florista’s team outdid themselves, bringing Monika & Neal’s vision to life.

When it came time to plan the wedding, Monika & Neal knew they needed someone who could make their dream day a reality. Enter Our Day Events, the dynamic duo of Karthika and Juhi, who ensured that every detail was flawless. For her big day, Monika entrusted Flawless Beauty By Pauline to bring her bridal look to life. Without a trial run, Pauline’s exceptional talent and attentiveness transformed Monika into the radiant bride she envisioned.

The couple’s reception was an unforgettable experience, with Volcanic Entertainment keeping the dance floor alive all night. Neal and Monika even made a grand entry, welcomed by the energetic beats of Parth the Dhol Player, setting the tone for an epic celebration. Meanwhile, guests captured memories at the JP Entertainment Photo Booth, which added a fun and interactive touch to the evening.

Every moment of Monika & Neal’s wedding was brought to life through the lens of House of Talent Studio, who worked their magic to capture the essence of the day. From the emotional first look to the vibrant dance floor at the reception, every shot told a story, weaving together the laughter, tears, and love shared by the couple and their families. Their cinematic approach turned every frame into a masterpiece, allowing Monika & Neal to relive their special day with all its grandeur and joy for years to come.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

I matched with my knight in shining armor, Neal, on the dating app Coffee Meets Bagel. From our first conversation, I felt an instant connection, unlike anything I had experienced before. We shared the same sense of humor and a multitude of interests, allowing our conversations to flow effortlessly, whether online or over the phone. As we got to know each other better, it became clear that Neal not only understood me on a deeper level but also encouraged me to be my best self. I could be completely myself around him, which was incredibly refreshing. Our first date was the moment everything clicked into place. Neal showed up with a stunning bouquet of flowers, and right from the start, he infused our time with endless laughter. The chemistry was palpable, and I felt butterflies fluttering in my stomach - something I hadn't felt in a long time. By the end of the evening, I realized that this was more than just a first date; it was the beginning of something special. The comforting excitement I felt made me believe he truly was "the one". To this day, Neal continues to make my heart flutter, reminding me of that magical first evening and the incredible journey we're on together.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
One of our many common interests is our deep love for travel. Neal and I often find ourselves exploring new places, whether it's wandering through charming cities, hiking in nature, or soaking up different cultures. Within the first year of dating, we were fortunate enough to make multiple different trips to various locations throughout North America. Being the travel bugs that we are, we always talked about making a trip over to somewhere in Europe and Neal ran with it. After confirming the dates with me, he went ahead and booked flights, hotels, and activities to this mystery destination that Neal insisted on keeping a secret. As we drove to the airport the day of our flight, there was a mix of nerves and excitement. I still didn't know where we were going and my mind raced with endless possibilities. It wasn't until we arrived at the check-in counter that I was handed our boarding passes. Milan - we were going to be spending a week in Italy!! My heart soared - I always dreamed of visiting Italy. Milan, Venice, and Lake Como were the cities he had picked out.

Living in Philadelphia and planning a proposal in Venice wasn't easy - Neal hired an event planner who helped him iron out all of the details. After a day of exploring the bustling streets of Venice and lots of pasta, Neal suggested we have a lowkey evening. As we were getting ready for this "lowkey" evening, Neal put on a white blazer and I knew. I frantically texted my sisters asking for advice on how I should do my hair, which heels I should wear, which handbag I should take. After getting ready, we walked for what seemed like forever to a private rose garden right on the Grand Canal. The tears started flowing with an overwhelming sense of love and happiness. The planner guided us to a small table set for two, adorned with candles, champagne, and more roses. My heart raced as Neal took my hand and led me to the center of the garden where a heart was drawn out with rose petals. He knelt down and pulled out a stunning ring. Tears of joy streamed down my face, unable to form words. It was perfect, Neal is perfect, and the love woven into every detail made it a memory I will cherish forever.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Planning our wedding was an exciting yet challenging journey that involved a lot of decision-making and creativity. We had the honor of having our big day at The Merion, an exquisite wedding venue in Cinnaminson, NJ. I toured this venue back in 2019 - before I had met Neal - and this was my dream venue. That being said, after we were engaged and starting out the wedding planning process, the top of our list was to secure a venue. We wanted a place that reflected our style and could accommodate our long guest list. The first venue we officially toured was The Merion and there was no going back. The luxurious Skylight Ballroom with all its natural lighting took my breath away. It was simply the perfect vision for a morning ceremony.

For MUAH, I wanted a look that felt both elegant and natural. I researched local artists and eventually found Pauline. Being the sweetheart that she is, she listened to my vision and made me feel more at ease on the big day. I didnt have the chance to do a trial for neither makeup nor hair, but I was so confident in Pauline's talent. We spoke on the phone a few times to to discuss some inspo pics and the vibes that I wanted for not only the wedding and reception, but also my pre-wedding festivities. I loved how she captured the essence of what I wanted so effortlessly!

Going shopping for the multiple outfits I needed for my week of celebrations was one of the most fun parts! I had the opportunity to go to India for almost 3.5 weeks - and more importantly, to visit family whom I hadn't seen in years as well as meet some of Neal's extended family. We went to a few local boutiques before travelling to India where I tried on more dresses than I can count! I wanted a feel of the color, style, and material before officially diving in. For the ceremony I opted for a traditional red color lehenga from Asopalav and a custom made white lehenga for the reception. Fun fact about my reception outfit - I had the designers use the dupatta to create an attached cape-like sleeve so I wouldn't have to worry about my dupatta sliding off my shoulder as I danced the night away.

We spoke to multiple decor companies, but Florista Decor stood out. After speaking with Angella once, we were confident that she would make our vision a reality. The Florista Decor team did a phenomenal job with their decor for our wedding and reception! The team beautifully transformed our venue into a mesmerizing dream. Florista was able to bring our vision to life, even incorporating elements from the venue so beautifully. From the gorgeous fresh floral arrangements, elegant drapery, to all of the gold elephants, every detail reflected their artistic flair. The use of traditional components, intricate mandap designs, and modern elements added an authentic touch that wowed all our guests. We were in utter shock at how creatively and organically everything was brought together, more than we imagined. Florista went above and beyond, turning our dream wedding into a reality with their creativity and meticulous execution. The team was an absolute pleasure to work with.

Being the foodies that we are, Neal and I prioritized food and drinks. We also both have a MASSIVE sweet tooth. The Merion transformed the entire cocktail hour space into a mouth watering dessert room. Donut walls, truffles, chocolate fountains, funnel cake, snow cones, fried oreos, cannolis, chocolate fudge, smores and so much more!! It was truly amazing.

The entire process, while sometimes stressful, was incredibly rewarding and it brought us closer together. On the wedding day, seeing everything come together—our venue, decor, and the love from family and friends—made it all worth it. It truly was a day to remember, filled with joy, laughter, and love.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Although things did get stressful here and there, we would not have been able to pull off our big day without our wonderful wedding coordinators, Karthika and Juhi, from Our Day Events! They were simply amazing and helped to ensure our wedding planning journey was as smooth as possible. Neal and I celebrated every milestone along the way - no matter how small. We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent together making sure our special day was a blend of the best parts of both of us.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Although Neal and I shared a heartfelt first look prior to the ceremony, the moment that constantly replays in my mind is when we first saw each other on the stage under the mandap. As the antarpat was lowered, a wave of emotions washed over me - joy, love, and an overwhelming sense of connection. My heart raced as our eyes met, both of us teary-eyed. I felt as if the world around us faded away, leaving just the two of us in that magical moment, ready to embark on our journey together. I remember seeing the warmth of Neal's smile that truly illuminated the space. I could see the love in his eyes, a reflection of all our shared dreams and promises and a vow to face whatever life has in store for us.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
To any and all brides-to-be, my main advice to you would be to stay true to yourself! Your special day is a reflection of you and your partner, so don't feel pressured to follow trends and/or traditions that don't resonate with you. Planning can get stressful at times but remember to enjoy the journey and celebrate the little milestones along the way. Things may not go exactly as planned, and that's ok! Everything will come together in the end. Trust that you and your partner have planned well, and focus on the love that brought you to this day.

From the heartfelt ceremony to the lively reception, it was pure magic.

Auburn Hills, MI Fusion Wedding by Killer Creations Photography

A cinematic fusion unfolded in the heart of Auburn Hills, where the echoes of industry meet whispers of the wild. The venue, 2 Gather More, wasn't just a backdrop; it transformed into a director's dream canvas, capturing every nuance of Manaswee & Travis's spellbinding union. A vivid tapestry of Indian traditions interwoven with modern nuances, this wedding was nothing short of a blockbuster!

Our leading lady, Manaswee, donned a breathtaking ensemble that could only be described as a masterpiece, meticulously crafted. Each thread shimmered with the stories of a thousand stars, lighting up every step she took. Not to be outdone, Travis, our dashing groom, embraced his role in a bespoke, sharp, and sophisticated suit tailored to cinematic perfection. His outfit wasn't just worn; it was performed as if it were a character in their love story.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the reception unfolded like a dream sequence. The first dance? The magicians behind the curtain, Utsav Planners, Inc., orchestrated this spectacle with a maestro's touch. DJs Day's Mehta and Sugar Events & Entertainment masterfully curated the day's soundtrack, ensuring the beats were as heartbeat-synced as the couple's rhythms.

The artistic touches of Jahura Hobby elevated Manaswee's beauty, while Lydia Hannah turned palms into canvases of traditional artistry with her mehndi designs.

East Brunswick, NJ Fusion Wedding by Diego Stuart Films

Our film opens on a bustling college campus at Hofstra University, where a freshman, Maria, meets Chris across the dormitory hallway. Their instant connection sparks a friendship that soon blossoms into love. Maria recalls, "It was like finding your favorite character in a new show and knowing they'd become a series regular in your life."

Fast forward to a serene evening at Brookgreen Gardens, South Carolina. Under the ancient oaks, amidst the enchanting glow of garden lights, Chris delivers his lines perfectly, dropping to one knee. The plot twist? Both sets of parents emerge, turning the scene into a joyous ensemble cast, followed by a celebratory dinner that sets the stage for their future together.

The festivities began at the Edgewood Country Club with a Sangeet that set the stage—a vibrant prelude filled with music, dance, and laughter, hinting at the grandeur to come. Here, amidst twirling lehengas and swaying guests, Maria & Chris looked every bit the stars of their show. As the dawn of the wedding day broke, the Park Chateau Estate and Gardens awaited, dressed in its regal best. The ceremony venue, known for its breathtaking elegance, played host to a tale of two cultures weaving into one.

The Details Affair Team, our maestros of planning and design, transformed the space into a dreamscape; their expertise in blending the vibrancy of Indian weddings with the subtlety of modern design created an ambiance that was both awe-inspiring and intimately personal. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the couple sealed their vows with a kiss under a cascade of soft petals, courtesy of The Productions Agency, who turned the venue into a floral masterpiece.

No detail was too small for our lens masters—J'adore Love and Diego Stuart Films. Their cameras captured not just images but the very essence of Maria & Chris's love story. They didn't merely capture the day; they immortalized every emotion, every subtle exchange between Maria & Chris, with a keen eye for detail and a palpable passion for storytelling. Each shot was framed with the intent of documenting the day and encapsulating each moment's emotional atmosphere. From the tender, fleeting glances shared between the couple during their ceremony to the explosive joy of their reception.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met our freshman year of college at Hofstra University in New York (September 2013). Chris and I lived directly across the hall from each other in the dorms. We met the first week of school and immediately connected. Here we are over 11 years later!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
One of our favorite places to travel together is to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where my family owns a vacation home. We started going here during college and have been many times since. Chris decided to propose at Brookgreen Gardens in South Carolina, which is a gorgeous outdoor botanical garden with sculptures and lights. Chris proposed on the night of June 10, 2023 under the beautiful oak trees. Both of our parents came out to surprise me. We all went to a celebratory family dinner together afterwards and it was a perfect day!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We had a big wedding that included multiple days of events. The wedding planning process was very involved but the team of vendors we had made sure that everything was executed to perfection. Our team was absolutely fabulous.

We had our Sangeet at Edgewood Country Club in NJ. We had a tropical disco theme and the venue and staff were awesome. We had such a fun night to kick off our wedding and everyone had such a good time!

Our wedding day July 27, 2024 was at Park Chateau Estate and Gardens in NJ. On our wedding day, we actually had two ceremonies in one day: a Hindu Ceremony in the outdoor gardens and a traditional Western ceremony in the Chapel. We followed the ceremonies with a reception and after party, all held right at the venue. I truly mean it when I say you cannot find a more gorgeous venue or better staff than at Park Chateau. The entire day was absolutely perfect and we had the wedding of our dreams.-

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I really wanted a monochromatic, modern lehenga for the Hindu ceremony. I went with a cherry red color, which turned out absolutely gorgeous. I also had a white wedding dress with a beautiful lace train and cathedral veil for our traditional ceremony. I changed into a beaded white dress with feathers for the reception.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Overall I enjoyed the planning process because I am a very organized, Type A person. The best part was seeing our hard work and vision come to life at our events. Everything turned out perfect.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
I think that the beautiful venues, fun music, delicious food, and interesting decor all added to the guest experience. However, the vibes and energy at all of our events were so fun because of our friends and family who made our wedding incredible.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
There are so many amazing moments from our wedding day - it's hard to pick. Since we had two ceremonies, I would say that walking down the aisle (both times!) was so special and emotional.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Our Sangeet was cool since we did a tropical disco theme. We had disco balls and tropical florals. The decor and everyone's outfits were very colorful and exotic. Our bridal party and family put on performances, which were a big hit. This night was so much fun and enjoyable!

Our wedding day was a more traditional and classic. Our Mandap florals had shades of pink, red, and white roses, which complimented the beautifully landscaped gardens at Park Chateau. Our traditional ceremony and reception decor and florals were white, pops of light blue, and gold. Everything turned out beautifully.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
It truly goes by so fast. Really try to enjoy the day and take in every moment that you can. Don't stress over the little details, no one will notice if something is slightly different than you planned for. Most importantly, enjoy your day with your new spouse and the people that love you.

The magic of this wedding lives on, beautifully etched into history by the skilled storytelling.
