Oakland, CA Sikh Wedding by Usman Baporia Photography

Happy Friday, Maharanis! We are ending our week just right with the lovely highlight film of Vaninder & Kenny where we are reminded that the marriage vow is the most important vow you'll ever take. Usman Baporia Photography beautifully captured this lovely affair and I'm getting goosebumps! Limelight Productions held Vaninder's hand through her wedding journey and transformed her parent's home backyard into the perfect setting for a Sikh wedding. Saba Decor Rentals added the ultimate touch of color with flower arrangements with beautiful deep red and white roses creating a romantic ambiance. Raja Kenny was ready to marry the love of his life and a large procession joined him while riding a magnificent white horse provided by Vintage Carriage Company. Their reception at the Chabot Space and Science Center was nothing short of spectacular, a fun entrance while looking elegant and flawless welcomed the guests into a night they will always remember thanks to the mementos captured in Pink Shutter's photo booths. Hit play and don't miss down below our one on one with Vaninder!

Montreal, QC Sikh Wedding by Darkroom Doctors Studios

Evoking the best of the Sikhs’ culture, the splendid artistic film that Darkroom Doctors Studios produced for Hardeep and Agum’s wedding in Montreal is a wonderful manifest of the many traditions and significant ceremonies that comprise a Sikh-Punjabi union. The footage captured every key moment, from a vivacious home Sangeet night, to the tender ceremony held at the grand Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar Montreal, and a reception at the luxurious ballroom of Le Mont Blanc! To organize and choreograph each of these upscale events, Shaadi MC was recruited by the bride and groom, so they could only worry about their endless fabulous looks. Agum looked like a royal on his wedding day in a maroon brocade sherwani and a sword in his hands and opted for a bespoke suit for the evening party. On the other hand, Hardeep twirled pretty in a stunning burgundy lehenga for the ceremony and glowed during the night in a silver glitter outfit. She was embellished by renowned Amber Esthetics to complete her marvelous bridal attires. To wrap up the celebrations with a high energetic ambiance, Jannat Productionz kept the party going all night contributing to the great success of the festivities! Hurry up and relive every minute of this ravishing fine art wedding film below!

Everything about this wedding was fabulous from the beginning to the end and in between! Watch more great wedding films like this, tomorrow!

Palatine, IL Sikh Wedding by Shan Photography

It’s Friday, Maharanis! As the week comes to an end, I have the great honor to share the best moments of Sona and Vikram’s wedding celebrations caught on film by Shan Photography! I love how we kicked off with the wedding inspiration on Monday with their gorgeous imagery featured on our Platinum Guide Blog! Sona and Vikram began their wedding journey with a fantastic traditional Sangeet at the Ramada Convention & Banquets where the excitement of the wedding day was translated into big dances and songs. As a pure reflection of the couple’s Punjabi culture, the ceremony was filled with enchanting rituals and beautiful attires. All eyes were on Sona who dressed up as a queen in a dazzling maroon lehenga and adorned her hands with an exquisite kaleere set. For the lavish reception, Afrin Designs created a romantic starry night wedding stage that displayed elegant drapery and charming twinkle lights. To shake things up, DJ TwinBeatz offered the best remixes to enliven the epic dances! Hit play for 7 minutes of pure inspiration!

The wedding is over but you can replay this amazing film over and over and check many more in our next week's video posts!

Toronto, ON Sikh Wedding by Darkroom Doctors Studios

Good morning Maharani Weddings readers! Today’s wedding was all about Misha and Preet and their dearest and nearest who gathered to watch the bride and groom start their wedding journey in the beautiful city of Toronto! Darkroom Doctors Studios beautifully comprised all the rituals, traditional ceremonies and heartwarming moments in a fabulous wedding film that will simply melt your heart! These two flaunted several attires during their pre-wedding events but I simply love the brilliant ceremony matching outfits that added a big allure to their wedding style. Misha wore a teal velvet choli and coral lehenga she combined with her stunning makeup by Elegance Hair & Skin Care and groom Preet added even more charm to the duo with a velvet sherwani and a ravishing coral color turban. The couple shared their happiness by throwing a magnificent party, as magnificent as the royal palace stage Dream Party Decor built for the occasion. This reception was filled with epic dances, joyfulness and blissful scenes worth to watch, so scroll down and enjoy the fabulous next day wedding film now!

Congrats to Misha and Preet on the most important day of their lives! See you in our next post!

Akron, Ohio Sikh Wedding by Elite Ohio Events

Tanvi and Vir gave their guests a memory they’ll never forget with their wow-worthy reception entertainment filmed by Elite Ohio Events! Our beautiful Tanvi was all dressed up for the night, in a gorgeous golden and cream glittery lehenga by Sooha Rang and pose next to her dapper groom for Gagan Kaur Photography’s camera. After tying the knot a one-of-a-kind celebration took place at the beautiful Quaker Station. This pair set the scene with a fabulous entertainment, from an aerial waitress, serving drinks from a suspended hoop to an original fire show that lit up the night! DJ Hans provided the best energetic soundtrack for the newlyweds to dance at the most fabulous starlit dance floor. Royal Decors created a ravishing decoration that was completed with the greatest lightning set. The well-known wedding experts also designed and produced the splendid event to make this couple’s dream wedding come true. Enjoy this lovely Sikh wedding party just by hitting play!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Vir's cousin is a friend of my family. She called my mom one day in April 2016 and asked if I was seeing anyone and if I would be interested in talking to her cousin. We talked on the phone first and then decided to meet. It didn't take long for us to know that this was going to be a forever thing. It just felt right and everything just fell into place.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
It was during the photo shoot we posed for a picture by the Golden Gate Bridge. Vir hugged me and as he was hugging me, I realized he was hugging me very weirdly and moving around too much. After a few moments I got suspicious and I stepped back to see what was going on. In the same moment, he had pulled out the ring from his pocket and gotten down on one knee. I was so surprised and happy that I don't even remember what he said to me next. All I remember is that I said "yes." The photographer caught the moment on his camera.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
The reception was designed by Vir with some input from me.  Vir was very picky about the guest experience and flow of the event. He wanted everything to be perfect. Vir flew in his favorite DJ from California. Every detail of the décor was hand picked by Vir. Unfortunately, in the Cleveland area, there isn't many hair/make up artists that can dress up an Indian bride. I picked Rania because during my hair/makeup trial she did a fabulous job of putting the look together.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
When I went shopping for my outfit, it was the only one that I loved. My outfit was custom designed by my mom and Sooha Rang did my jewelry designing.  Vir's outfit was custom made by an Italian designer.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
FINALIZING EVERYTHING and watching it all come together on the day of the event.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The whole guest experience from the minute you parked your car at the venue until the end.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Practicing for our slow dance.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Do not stress ~ do not forget to enjoy the actual wedding.  Yes, weddings can be stressful but you have to remember to enjoy every moment of it.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
Our videographer was amazing! After the event, he worked closely with us to make the highlight video and was very friendly and open to our ideas. Everything we mentioned to him that we wanted he was able to take that and create the perfect video.
