How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
What started as an awkward first date with Adhitya blossomed into a beautiful relationship that turned into love. Dating in the pandemic was a novel experience for us (Couples who get their COVID vaccines together stay together, right?). Our countless walks by the Woodbridge lake, random tea dates, numerous movie nights, checking out fancy restaurants, and traveling throughout Southern California’s picturesque coastline made our bond, love and affection for each other grow stronger every day. I knew he was the one almost from the beginning We are excited for our future.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Adhitya told me that we were going to a fancy Indian restaurant in LA. But in reality, Adhitya along with a couple of his friends were up to something! Adhitya’s GPS showed we were going to a park instead of a restaurant. I was told it was to meet two of his friends at the park initially. I was a bit confused but didn't think too much of it at first. I, however noticed that Adhitya was visibly nervous! Once we got to the park, we slowly walked to the edge where his friends were waiting for us. My heart started racing. There was this huge "Marry Me" sign along with rose petals and candles in a heart shaped formation at the edge of a hill in Laguna Cliffs, overlooking the ocean. It was so romantic! He chose that location because he knew it was one of my favorite spots. In that moment Adhitya told me how he felt … got down on one knee and proceeded to say the magical four words….and I said YES! One of the best days ever!!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We looked up few wedding planners, and I can vouch that SHUBHAM EVENTS is by far THE BEST. Kavita and Sekar made the entire process very easy and walked every step of the way with me and my family. They were always easily accessible to answer questions and treated us like their own family. In fact Kavita went over and beyond to help out my single mom. Kavita and Sekar guided us through on all aspects, be it venue selection, vendors, decor, theme etc., and provided valuable insights that helped us make our choices and decisions. We call Kavita and Sekar 'THE DREAM TEAM' because they really make your wedding dreams come true on earth! Also, Subham Events will be the official planner for all events moving forward because you can be sure they will deliver beyond expectations.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The wedding was a topic of conversation long after the event. Resounding comments from guests were - Awseome planning, seamless execution, and no chaos! It was smooth sailing, totally magical, and every detail was spot on! Although I got the compliments on a fabulous wedding:) .....i will have to attribute it to Subham Events:).
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The 'first look' at my husband is something that constantly replays in my mind and makes my heart skip a beat every time...:)

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Sangeet and wedding decor by DEEPTI CHANDANI were fabulous! Both the decors had a touch of class. Not only that... Deepti surpassed my expectation. She added elements to the decor that elevated the ambiance to a different level. The ballrooms looked gorgeous!” I would recommend Deepti to everyone who is looking for a decorator who can add a TOUCH OF CLASS. “I just wanted to say a very heartfelt thank you for all the hard work you put into the decorations, Deepti.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Enjoy every minute of the planning and the wedding. Keep the stress at bay. When you have a dream team such as Subham Events and Deepti Chandani ...trust me....you can count on them.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
The catering by 'Vishnu Caterers' was a smash hit. Everyone was so impressed by the amazing service and the incredible food. We heard nothing but very positive feedback from our family and friends, and many have taken the contact information for their food catering events which I have kindly shared.

Thank you for sharing this moment with us, sweeties! Leave us a comment and come back for more.

Hello, my darlings! I'm so excited to share the gorgeous wedding of Riya & Rohit, who tied the knot at the stunning McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona. Kennett Square PA, Engagement by Aruba Photo & Sweet Mango Studios

Hello, dear ladies! Nothing is better to continue this day than with Megha & Dipen's engagement photo session! After five years of dating, they decided to take a memorable trip to an isolated island and make it romantic. The sun slowly dipped into the horizon as they arrived on the beach. The view was stunning, with only blue sky and golden sand for miles. A small island was set up ahead of them, adorned with a beautiful setup of "MARRY ME" light-up letters, a violinist playing their favorite songs, a cute picnic setup by Unique Picnique Pop-Up who helped them create extraordinary and unforgettable memory while celebrating a special moment. Megha was initially blindfolded walking into all of this, and with her hands into Dipen's hands- that's when she knew what was happening. The blindfold came off, and Dipen was proposing to Megha. She couldn't believe it was finally there, a long-awaited journey but worth the wait. It is a memory that they will always treasure! For the photo session, they decided on Longwood Gardens, and it was the perfect venue. The surrounding gardens were filled with the love that Megha and Dipen irradiated, and we are thrilled that this lovely pair is getting engaged. The head-turning look Megha was rocking for this life-changing event was in charge of Deepika Arora Label with exquisite makeup by Emmanuel from Glow Beauty Bar. Dipen also wore an elegant outfit from Kora by NM. As in every shot captured by Aruba Photo and Films and Sweet Mango Studios, you can tell they are meant for each other! If you want to be part of this love story that is just beginning, you cannot miss the gallery that we have prepared for today. It has charming and captivating shots that will brighten your day, so go check it out! You will love it!

Anaheim, CA Gujarati Wedding by Avec Lumiere Productions

Hello ladies! Ready for your daily dose of inspiration? I hope you do because we have Shalini and Neil's incredible wedding highlight video captured by Avec Lumiere Productions. This California-based couple carefully planned with the help of Events by Sep. All the events that formed these nuptials displayed unique themes and elegant decors that turned into authentic feasts for the eyes! I love the cherry blossom backdrop of their pre-wedding functions and the pink Sangeet theme. So romantic! The couple chose the great Delta Hotels by Marriott as the location for their dream wedding. Here, Raja Neil started their final event with an energetic Baraat procession entering the ceremony to the beat of Fusion Sounds. After a fun Varmala ceremony, the wedding rituals took place under a stunning acrylic mandap created by Kismet Event Design. The decor crew showed off his talent by creating a dazzling white and gold scenery that was opulent yet elegant. They truly gave this two a decor they will never forget. The evening quickly transitioned into a magical night with mesmerizing violet lightning designed by Fusion Sounds. They also created a perfect music set that took the crowd into a dance frenzy that lasted all night! Remember ladies, hit play on this beautiful highlight film by Avec Lumiere Productions. You won't regret it.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I knew he was the one when I first came down to Pittsburgh only to have a delayed flight! I was supposed to come in at 6 pm and instead came home at midnight. When I walked in he had this whole dinner at home set up, with plates and red napkins and candles! He even cooked the perfect meal!
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
What I thought would be a fancy lunch date on top of the mountain turned out to be the man of my dreams popping the question! Somehow he got me dressed up, got my nails done, and got to on a gondola without any suspicion. When he got to the location on the top, I saw the proposal set up, and I said to him, "Oh, look, someone is getting proposed to; we can't go there" I tried to stop him many many times from going closer and closer to the site. It clicked to me when the violist started playing the Wada Raha song that this proposal was for me! He proposed, and everyone around the site cheered, and then 5 mins later our whole family showed up! Literally all of them from all over the states!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I started planning in the middle of COVID, thinking it would go away. But all of my vendors were really nice and willing to work with me. We originally had a July date, but due to restrictions in other countries, we had to push back our date to December. Our vendors were flexible in making the change without any issues. I started off booking my make-up artist Drea first! We only had our date at this point. Then I went on to book my venue and wedding planner at the same time. The rest fell in place one by one!
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
This was really hard since I was not able to go to India and new outfits were not coming to the states. I knew I wanted to wear red. The first store we went to was Frontier in LA. I tried on a few but really fell in love with one of them. But I knew I should try more when I went to NY and NJ. So a few months later I went around and tried on more, sometimes I tried them on just to entertain myself and see if I liked anything I wore! But all I could think of was that outfit I really liked. The week after I told my mom to just go purchase the one I really liked and she face timed me and we bought it!
I also wanted to wear my mom's wedding sari or try to incorporate it into my outfit somehow! The final look didn't come together till the week before but I decide to wear it with a white choli as my baarat outfit. This was super special because my mom and I did a little welcome dance as well.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
They all said they loved the food and coming to California even though the weather wasn't the best!
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Every time I look at our highlight video all of the memories just rush in now! I think the most fun I had was during our pithi and sangeet night. We did a flash mob during the sangeet and it was the most amazing thing ever that came together!
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Pithi: The theme for this event was Capri/lemon. The team did an amazing job making the ganpathi in various blue sea items!
Satak: The idea was to go with something peaceful and serenity. So we decided to do a lotus in the background with cherry trees coming from the side.
Sangeet: The theme was Jaipur. I called this event Pink City Soriee on our invites.
Wedding: All white with greenery
Reception: I wanted to bring back a little bit of the proposal to bring in a full circle of this time period. We added a mountain decal on our dance floor with red and purple flowers through out the backdrop and tables.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Enjoy it all! Try not to worry too much about small details and small fights with your parents. Go with the flow and enjoy it because it won't come again.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
