East Brunswick, NJ Fusion Wedding by J'Adore Love Photography

Some love stories are written in the stars, but Maria & Chris's began across the hall in a freshman dorm at Hofstra University. From college sweethearts to life partners, their journey led to a breathtaking fusion of cultures in a spectacular Indian wedding in East Brunswick.

Maria & Chris' wedding wasn't just a one-day affair but a grand, multi-day celebration that combined tradition, glamour, and nonstop fun. The couple started with a tropical disco-themed Sangeet at Edgewood Country Club, where vibrant florals, dazzling disco balls, and colorful outfits made for an unforgettable night. The energy was electric as their bridal party, and family put on epic performances, setting the tone for what was to come.

A wedding like this doesn't just happen—it's the result of an A-team of vendors executing perfection at every turn. The masterminds behind the seamless planning and flawless execution were the Detailed Affairs Team, who brought their expertise to every single moment, ensuring that Maria & Chris's vision was flawlessly executed. As for the decor, think elegant luxury meets modern romance. The Productions Agency transformed the space into a dreamscape of white florals with pops of blue and gold, mirroring the couple's classic-meets-contemporary aesthetic.

The wedding day itself was a fairytale. Maria & Chris honored their traditions by having two stunning ceremonies in one day. The Hindu ceremony took place in the lush gardens of Park Chateau, under a breathtaking mandap adorned with cascading roses in shades of red, pink, and white. Maria made a visionary bride in a monochromatic cherry-red lehenga, bringing modern elegance to this sacred tradition.

If there was ever a wedding reception that redefined 'party of the year,' this was it. DJ USA Events, alongside DJs Juicy, KKV, and Karan, kept the dance floor packed all night long. MC Marco Glorious ensured the energy never dipped, and even the groom got in on the action—Chris made a grand entrance wielding a CO2 gun, hyping up the crowd in true Bollywood-meets-Hollywood style! It was the perfect setting for heartfelt speeches, emotional first dances, and a stunning cake from Calandra's Bakery that looked too good to eat.

This grand wedding deserves to be captured in a way that tells the whole story, and Diego Stuart Films did just that. With cinematic brilliance, they documented every heartfelt glance, every joyful tear, and every dance-floor moment in stunning detail. J'adore Love Photography turned every glance, twirl, and candid laugh into breathtaking works of art. Their ability to encapsulate emotions through the lens is nothing short of extraordinary, preserving Maria & Chris's big day in a timeless way.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met our freshman year of college at Hofstra University in New York (September 2013). Chris and I lived directly across the hall from each other in the dorms. We met the first week of school and immediately connected. Here we are over 11 years later!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
One of our favorite places to travel together is Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where my family owns a vacation home. We started going here during college, and it has been many times since. Chris decided to propose Brookgreen Gardens in South Carolina, which is a gorgeous outdoor botanical garden with sculptures and lights. Chris proposed on the night of June 10, 2023, under the beautiful oak trees. Both of our parents came out to surprise me. We all went to a celebratory family dinner together afterward, and it was a perfect day!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We had a big wedding that included multiple days of events. The wedding planning process was very involved, but the team of vendors we had made sure that everything was executed to perfection. Our team was absolutely fabulous.

We had our Sangeet at Edgewood Country Club in NJ. We had a tropical disco theme, and the venue and staff were awesome. We had such a fun night to kick off our wedding, and everyone had a good time!

Our wedding day, July 27, 2024, was at Park Chateau Estate and Gardens in NJ. On our wedding day, we actually had two ceremonies in one day: a Hindu Ceremony in the outdoor gardens and a traditional Western ceremony in the Chapel. We followed the ceremonies with a reception and after-party, all held right at the venue. I truly mean it when I say you cannot find a more gorgeous venue or better staff than at Park Chateau. The entire day was absolutely perfect, and we had the wedding of our dreams.-

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I really wanted a monochromatic, modern lehenga for the Hindu ceremony. I went with a cherry red color, which turned out absolutely gorgeous. I also had a white wedding dress with a beautiful lace train and cathedral veil for our traditional ceremony. I changed into a beaded white dress with feathers for the reception.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Overall, I enjoyed the planning process because I am a very organized, Type A person. The best part was seeing our hard work and vision come to life at our events. Everything turned out perfect.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
I think that the beautiful venues, fun music, delicious food, and interesting decor all added to the guest experience. However, the vibes and energy at all of our events were so fun because of our friends and family who made our wedding incredible.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
There are so many amazing moments from our wedding day - it's hard to pick. Since we had two ceremonies, I would say that walking down the aisle (both times!) was so special and emotional.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Our sangeet was cool since we had a tropical disco theme. We had disco balls and tropical florals. The decor and everyone's outfits were very colorful and exotic. Our bridal party and family put on performances, which were a big hit. This night was so much fun and enjoyable!

Our wedding day was a more traditional and classic. Our Mandap florals had shades of pink, red, and white roses, which complimented the beautifully landscaped gardens at Park Chateau. Our traditional ceremony and reception decor and florals were white, pops of light blue, and gold. Everything turned out beautifully.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
It truly goes by so fast. Really try to enjoy the day and take in every moment that you can. Don't stress over the little details; no one will notice if something is slightly different than you planned for. Most importantly, enjoy your day with your new spouse and the people who love you.

The celebration may end, but the memories will last a lifetime and bring joy. Come back for more!

Dearborn, MI Indian Wedding by Killer Creations Photography and Films

Darlins, join us as we journey through Megan & Raj’s celebration of love on the Platinum Guide Blog!

regal couple,timeless elegance,stone architecture,wedding portraits,bridal lehenga,groom’s sherwani

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Our story began in 2016 when Raj sent me a Facebook message out of the blue as many mutual friends had suggested to him that we'd be compatible -- it didn't take long for sparks to fly.

From the first date, I felt I could be completely myself around Raj. He inspired me to be my best, and we discovered a deep compatibility, tackling everything from the mundane to the momentous with ease. Most importantly, Raj immediately appreciated and reciprocated my off-beat wit and playful sarcasm – a clear tell to me that he was "the one".

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
During the Holidays in our sixth year, I came home planning to attend Raj's company Christmas party...or so I thought!

Raj took me to the same spot where we had our first Valentine's day, and decorated the hall with the help of our family and friends. When we first walked in, I thought we were intruding on someone else's proposal -- little did I know!

With our favorite song playing in the background, Raj got down on one knee to propose to my surprise -- Afterwards, we had an unforgettable night celebrating with our close family and friends!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
When we began planning our wedding, our top priority was creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for our guests while still bringing our dream wedding to life. Knowing how overwhelming wedding planning can be, we took it one step at a time, breaking down the process into manageable pieces. Things fell into place beautifully from there.

We started with the venue and were lucky enough to find one that perfectly balanced our needs with the elegant atmosphere we envisioned. Next, we hired a wedding planner whose expert guidance proved invaluable. She connected us with a fantastic team of vendors, including a hair and makeup artist, caterer, DJ, photographer/videographer, and of course, a talented decor specialist.

Choosing my bridal outfit in Toronto with my family was a truly emotional moment. It was then that it really hit me – this was actually happening!

For the decor, I had always envisioned a simple yet elegant, almost regal, theme. My planner perfectly captured this vision and offered wonderful recommendations to bring it to fruition.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
At first, I envisioned a traditional maroon velvet lehenga for my wedding. However, when I found my ultimate outfit, all my preconceived notions vanished. Even though it was different from what I had imagined, it felt absolutely perfect. Wearing it, I felt like royalty -- In that moment, I knew my bridal outfit was decided.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of planning our wedding was the way it brought our families together. It truly takes a village to pull off a wedding, and we all had the same goal. Working together, we were challenged to have meaningful and honest conversations, which helped break down barriers and formalities, ultimately uniting us as one family.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Since our wedding, we've been so touched by the feedback from our guests. They especially loved the vibrant and warm atmosphere at every event, from the Mehndi to the Reception. We made it a point to keep the energy high and smiles on our faces, hoping that positive vibes were contagious and that our guests felt it, too.

We've also received rave reviews about the food. Even though we primarily served Indian dishes throughout our various events, our caterer did an incredible job of adding unique touches to each meal, keeping everything fresh and exciting!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The special moment that replays in my mind is the First Look before our wedding. After getting ready for the ceremony, our photographer escorted me into into a private area where Raj was standing with his back turned -- from there, I tapped Raj on his shoulder, and with his back to me he slowly turned around and we had the same exact reaction, of pure excitement and jaws dropped --this has easily become my favorite picture from the wedding.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Our wedding celebrations began with an intimate Haldi ceremony with close family and friends. This was followed by a vibrant and eventful Mehndi party at my family's home, officially kicking off the wedding weekend. Raj and I had a joint Mehndi, a wonderful opportunity to welcome our families and informally introduce them to each other. We played games to engage all our guests and exchanged gifts. My parents worked tirelessly to transform our home into the perfect event space, adorning it with colorful, fresh flowers to welcome everyone. We also had fireworks and a large welcome banner for Raj's family.

The Sangeet was all about vibrant color and high energy, creating a festive and celebratory atmosphere. we even incorporated custom-made Bollywood posters, replacing the actors with our our faces, like "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai." We had live food stations serving Indian street food, and a jam-packed program filled with dances from our loved ones, including a surprise performance from Raj and me.

For our reception, we chose a more sophisticated theme using neutral colors like gold and white. Heartfelt toasts from our best friends and moving speeches from our parents brought both tears of joy and laughter to our eyes. Finally, our DJ took over, and with an incredible Bollywood-American fusion mix, keeping everyone on the dance floor all night.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
While wedding planning can be challenging and demanding, it's important to take it one step at a time. This is a unique opportunity to create a truly special event, bringing together all the most important people in your lives. Prioritize what YOU want out of the experience and try to enjoy the process.

It's also essential to find a team that shares your vision and values. I was fortunate to have a strong support system to step in when needed and vendors who expertly guided me through navigating uncharted waters.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
Early in the planning process, I sometimes questioned the value of hiring a wedding planner. Now, having gone through the experience, I can confidently say it's absolutely worth it. Especially when you're overwhelmed with the details, like timelines and itineraries, or even need expert advice on things like hair and makeup (which, as a first-time bride, I definitely did!), a good planner is invaluable.

Their path led to a breathtaking wedding celebration where every detail reflected their unique story.

Calling all brides-to-be! Check out Amy & JD's enchanting wedding in today's Platinum Guide Blog!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
JD proposed in St. Augustine, which was really special because that was where we went on our first trip together as a couple. During that first trip, we had planned to visit the fort but never actually made it inside. Instead, we ended up sitting on a wall overlooking the water, and that’s where JD told me he loved me for the first time.

Almost two years later, he suggested we go back for a weekend trip. I had a feeling a proposal might be coming, but I wasn’t entirely sure. This time, we finally explored the fort, walking through and taking everything in. Afterward, we made our way back to that same spot by the water. And that’s where he got down on one knee. It was such a full-circle moment!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I actually came across my bridal lehenga designer, Label Neha Sinha, on Instagram a few years ago (@labelnehasinha). I followed her work for a while and loved seeing her grow, so when it was finally time to pick my lehenga, I reached out to her.

I did try on a few lehengas at two different stores in New York, but none of them gave me that “Say Yes to the Dress” moment. So, I went back to Neha, and we started working together to bring my dream lehenga to life. I always knew I wanted to wear red, and she helped bring that vision to life. She involved me in every step—starting with sketches, then the sample kali, and finally the full piece. She also designed JD's sherwani and even incorporated embroidery from my lehenga into his outfit, which made it feel even more special.

When my lehenga finally arrived, I tried it on and just knew. The craftsmanship, the fit—everything was perfect, and I finally had my moment. I’m usually the kind of person who has to try things on a million times before deciding, but this was the one time I fully trusted the process. And I’m so glad I did!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
While the planning process was definitely a lot of work, the most rewarding part was that JD was just as involved as I was. It truly was a 50-50 effort and having him by my side made everything more manageable and enjoyable. We got to make decisions together and share in the excitement, which made the whole experience feel more special.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
My biggest piece of advice would be to remember that, at the end of the day, it's about celebrating your love and the people you care about. The little details might feel huge in the moment, but try not to stress too much over things that won't necessarily be noticed. And most importantly, don’t forget to enjoy the process—you’ll look back on it as a special time, so make sure to savor it with the people you love.

Maharanis, their big day was filled with vibrant energy, stunning decor, and joyful moments. Enjoy!

Gaithersburg, MD Indian Wedding by Oak & Gold Studios

If fairytales had a South Asian edition, Komal & Dipen’s wedding would be the front-cover feature! Set against the scenic charm of Gaithersburg, MD, their celebration was an enchanting blend of tradition, elegance, and the kind of love story that makes you believe in happily ever after.

Komal turned heads in an emerald green lehenga adorned with intricate silver embellishments, a regal and refreshingly unique choice. She paired her look with dazzling jewelry, a stunning maang tikka, and an aura of pure grace. Dipen, on the other hand, embodied the essence of a Maharaja in an ivory sherwani with delicate embroidery, exuding timeless charm. Together, they looked like they had stepped out of a classic Bollywood romance.

When it comes to wedding décor that leaves guests speechless, Lucky Events LLC truly outdid itself. They created a luxurious and intimate ambiance by transforming the Marriott Washingtonian Center into a dreamy oasis of soft florals, golden accents, and candlelit elegance. From the mandap, which looked like it belonged in a royal palace, to the perfectly curated seating arrangements, every detail was meticulously planned to perfection. Their rentals and event design expertise turned Komal & Dipen’s vision into a breathtaking reality.

A wedding of this grandeur required a meticulous touch, and Xquisit Events LLC delivered flawlessly. From coordinating intricate schedules to ensuring every detail was in place, their expertise was evident in the effortless flow of events. With their careful planning, the day unfolded like a beautifully choreographed dance—smooth, elegant, and unforgettable. Their dedication allowed the couple and their families to fully immerse themselves in the moment's joy, making this wedding a true dream.

When Komal glided into view for their first look, Dipen’s jaw practically hit the floor. And can we blame him? Komal’s breathtaking emerald-green lehenga shimmered with intricate embroidery, complementing her stunning mehndi that told its love story. Not to be outdone, Dipen arrived in a crisp white sherwani paired with a coordinating turban, looking every bit the regal prince to his modern-day princess. The two locked eyes and time momentarily stood still, except for that one relative snapping pictures from behind the bushes.

The incredibly talented team at Oak & Gold Studios captured every emotion, sparkle, and dance move. Their keen eye for detail and storytelling ensured Komal & Dipen’s big day would live on forever through breathtaking photographs and cinematic footage. From the stolen glances during the ceremony to the electric energy of the dance floor, their ability to encapsulate raw emotion was unparalleled.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Dipen and I met on a dating app, Dil Mil. Our first-day date was at the nice rooftop bar in D.C., where I got all nicely dressed up, and he showed up in jeans, hoodies, sneakers, and a baseball cap! Didn’t think our first date would last five hours at the rooftop just talking away! I started realizing Dipen was the one not in a single moment, but when I saw how he was with my family and his family and friends and how they were so compatible. All the traits I wanted in someone he had!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
The day of our proposal, Dipen came to my apartment as I was getting ready for the “holiday work party” that he said we were attending. The whole time, he was pacing around and looking nervous, so I started getting doubts. However, I was assured by my sister that she was away for the weekend, so Dipen couldn’t possibly be planning anything without her! He mentioned we had to stop by one memorial in DC to meet up with a coworker. I was getting skeptical again but went along with it. We arrived at the Japanese lantern area near the MLK Memorial in DC, and of course, there was no coworker waiting for us. Dipen gets down on one knee, and instead of getting excited and emotional, I start yelling at him to stop joking around and get up! (He’s gotten down on one knee before as a joke) I slowly start to realize that he isn’t joking and this is really happening. My emotions turn from anger to happiness and emotional so quickly! Afterward, he still mentioned that we had to attend the “holiday party,” which I believed. We get to the hotel rooftop, where we’re supposedly pregaming with some of these coworkers, just to find all of our close family and friends jump out and surprise me! It was truly the perfect day, and Dipen did such an amazing job planning everything for the tee!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
My wedding happened a year after my sister’s wedding, so it was a little easier for me to find vendors since I took half of hers! Usually, you hear of brides doing all the wedding planning, but here, Dipen and I contributed equally using our strengths. I focused more on the little details and decor while he focused on the finances and logistics. It did get stressful at times, for sure, but Dipen and I made sure to work together and not let things get to us.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I never wanted to wear the traditional red color for my wedding outfit. A lot of the colors I chose for each of my events were all the non traditional route. I chose green for my wedding lehenga since it’s my favorite color and is what I have always wanted to wear for my wedding!

This wedding was a beautiful celebration filled with love, joy, and unforgettable moments.
