Rajashtan, India Indian Wedding by Ankit Goel

There is something magical about weddings in India, and I find this union even more magical as it takes place in the heart of the beautiful "Pink City." The vibrant city of Jaipur offered Aarti and Saurabh the opportunity to build the wedding of their dreams. Thankfully, the acclaimed Ankit Goel captured the blissful occasion and turned it into an inspiring wedding album that these lovely duo will cherish forever. They turned to Hitch Key Weddings, who planned a long list of galas, including a whimsical Haldi, a Mehendi garden theme function, and a music-filled Sangeet night, seamlessly. Hitch Key Weddings also design the wedding decor, including a grand dome-shaped mandap for the ceremony. A real work of art! Throughout the wedding journey, Maharani Aarti was glammed by Varleen Kaur, the bridal expert who went above and beyond to create the bride's breathtaking hair and makeup looks. Aarti was dazzling, wearing a repertoire of showstopping bridal ensembles. However, I must confess I fell for her heavily embroidered ceremony lehenga set designed by Payal Keyal. She looked spellbinding, walking down the illuminated aisle. Saurabh also showed off his best style. Aarti's Raja pulled off many stylish outfits ranging from upbeat hues ensembles, passing through floral designs, to elegant tuxedos. It took an army of great vendors to execute such grandeur! We can find among these Gia Band, who joined the groom during his Baraat processio, V Car Tours who transported the newlyweds in pure luxe. At the same time, Tamasha Band's Bollywood performers provided the best entertainment for all guests. Their families' love, support, and bliss echoed in the couple's happiness and images speak for themselves, Maharanis. See this powerful couple tie the knot and take a virtual tour of this extravaganza in our gallery now!

A luminous stage with a floral mandap was the center of the ballroom. The ambiance exuded a regal vibe and majestic elegance. After the ceremony the new husband and wife, offered a great dinner that featured Indian dishes prepared by Moghul Cateterers, while the dessert was a lovely four-tiered exposed no-frosting cake by Palermo Bakery that gave a sweet ending to the feast. Pune, India Maharashtrian Wedding by PTaufiq Photography

Happy Friday, Maharanis. We wanted to wrap up the week with an opulent wedding held in India! PTaufiq Photography kindly shared some truly fantastic set of images featuring Tanishka & Shubham's Marathi union. The couple wed in the heart of Maharashtra at Sunny's World Pune. The exclusive venue located amidst 100 acres of nature also served as a setting for a Bollywood-style sangeet night that kicked off the spree and a dreamlike wedding ceremony. This pair pulled off their multiple celebrations in style, coordinating their outfits. Maharani Tanishka looked charming and graceful in a vibrant pink silk saree design by Megha & Jigar and added a timeless elegance to her attire with a Neelkanth Jewellers' dazzling jewel set. She also embraced a glam look for her big day, thanks to luxe wedding beauty artist Anuja Kalokhe. At the same time, Raja Shubham was the quintessential groom wearing a white color attire he accessorized with a pink turban and pink dupatta that perfectly paired with the brides' outfit. How clever is that? After tying the knot, our newlyweds made their first appearance as a married couple looking like royals! The lavish reception party showcased a pair of spectacular horse statues and a sun-shaped seat for the couple to enjoy the multiple choreographies. You are going to be smitten by this star-studded Marathi affair. Hurry up and check the complete gallery by PTaufiq Photography and take a closer look.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met in college. We started dating in 2011. It was hard for me to think about forever so it took about 6 years for me to be comfortable with the idea of marriage.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
I make surprises very difficult and figured out what his plan was going to be so he double crossed me and proposed the weekend before in jersey city on the waterfront with our dog and a book mark (that he slipped into the current book I was reading with the ring tied to it) saying we’re 7 chapters in and I love where this story is going... will you marry me?

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Honestly I did not want a huge wedding but my parents did. I’m a big proponent of doing things right or not doing it at all. Since I’ve never really dreamed of a huge wedding or any particular details I just wanted to make sure we hired professionals that I could trust to make the big decisions for me. I can’t say enough amazing things about our vendors. Valley regency has been in the business for a long time and knows how to throw a beautiful party. Lax states (Nisha) is truly an artist. She took something I had no interest in (the decor) and made it into a theme that actually felt like home. Maliha Khan is the sweetest and most talented makeup artist - I’m not a makeup expert and I needed someone who would take the outfit and my face into consideration and she did just that. I feel like I didn’t have to make many big decisions because my vendors were amazing.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I got married in November so it had to be long. For the ceremony I wanted some white in it. I found a beautiful gold lengha in India and they switched out the gold satin for white. I was happy. I bought my reception dress from India too but then I realized I didn’t love it so I bought another gown from a local NYC boutique.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Small details that I wanted to incorporate like a table to represent our love for our dog Belle, a memorial table, signs for the photobooth, pictures of us

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The most compliments I received were probably about the details I mentioned above and the food.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Before the reception we had a mini cocktail hour in the bridal suite and I actually got to spend a little time with my best friends and family.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Vendors can make or break your wedding. Choose carefully but then let the professionals do their job.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
Just incase you were wondering my husband is of Korean decent. He has a small family and did not have any Korean traditions that were important to them but his parents were great sports during the events.

Flushing, NY Indian Wedding by Ajit Photography

Welcome back, Maharanis! We have arrived at Meeta & Aman's grand wedding finale with a fabulous reception party hosted at the Leonard's Palazzo that will leave you speechless. So don't think twice and join us at this enchanting event! Right from the start, we have to say that this closing gala seemed like taken out from a fairytale as it was full of charm, luxury, and glamour. A perfect example of how fantastic everything turned out, is the mesmerizing looks of our gorgeous Maharani, who captivated everyone with two ravishing looks that we loved so much! For the first part of this reception, she wore a fashionable attire from Shakuntalm, very well complemented by the gorgeous jewelry from Much More, and we cannot stress how much we loved this opening look. However, it only gets better! For the second part of this gala, Meeta changed her attire, wearing a blue lengha with embroidery from Ejaaz Couture that, along with the jewelry from ReetCreationsNY, made her look like a princess. Both of these attires praised Meeta's natural beauty and combined to perfection with the heels from Thalia Sodi's collection. The elegant and fashionable looks of this lovely duo didn't keep them from dancing the night away to the beats of DJ Amit Kapoor, who turned this gala into a party. All the guests had a great time tasting the delicious plates prepared by Benares Restaurant & Catering and the sweet cake from Francesco's Bakery right before this gala ended. Relive this entire celebration taking a look at all the shots by Ajit Photography in today's gallery!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met through one of our mutual friends, when I met him he wasn't the type of a guy I thought I would end up marrying. I didn't know what I want in life. We started talking through snapchat and on our first meeting "alone" which was at Starbucks, my first line to him was "this is not a date and I'm not looking for a relationship." He understood me in a way that no one could. He knew what I was feeling and what I wanted/needed every time. We talked 24x7 yet I still didn't understand what our relationship was until months later.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Haha it was totally unexpected. One of his friend was getting married in November and he had told me that there's a special dinner that she invited us to (this is in September). SOO I was like okay I'll come with you (he had told me about this dinner end of July/August). During that weekend, I asked him should I get my nails done he's like yes and then I was like nahhhh it's just a dinner. He had told me to pick him up around 5 PM so I thought to myself that maybe he just wants to drink a little since it's his friend's wedding so I was like sure why not. It was a Sunday around 1 PM he really wasn't talking to me. I wore a casual mahroon dress and went to pick him up. He was matching me (which is usually always our thing). He told me that we need to go get something in his car so I was like okay (I'm thinking flowers or gift for his friend for this dinner). He blindfolds me when we get in the car. There are many things going on in my mind and so many questions that I kept asking him. I even asked him "are you proposing me, no wait you're not because you know I have to have my nails done for that, did you get a new car?" He's like yes that's it I got a new car. He made me get out of the car and I feel sand all around my heels and I asked him the car is at the beach? He said Yes. I could hear the waves/ocean and I can't swim so I asked him are we going in the water because I'm getting scared now. He's like relax. He told me to stand in a particular place and he said I'll be right back. Few minutes later I said "I hear music.." He tells me to remind my blindfold and I see him standing there few feet away past the alley that is filled with rose petals near the champagne table with I love You balloons held up against the table on the sand. He was standing in a huge heart filled with red sand outline with more rose petals in it and the song playing was Tum Hi Ho....that was the perfect moment. :)

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We got engaged in February of 2019 few months after he proposed to me. I wanted this day to be perfect because we both knew that this will be one of the most important days of our lives. We decided to do mehndi/sangeet at my house because we wanted as much intimacy as possible between our families. We don't have a big family in New York and most of our relatives live back in India. We didn't hire any planner since we wanted to be involved as much as we can so we decided to do this together. We had an idea of how we wanted things to be but the hardest part was probably making a guest list and picking the venues. I'm so thankful to him for dealing with my indecisiveness and helping me throughout the journey. Picking my makeup/hair artist was easy because I knew that there would be no one better than Tamanna to do my makeup. When we went to visit World's Fair Marina for our wedding venue it happened to be the perfect setting because of it's location (right by the water - since Aman proposed to me at the beach). When we went to see Leonard's, there was no turning back. We did go to see many venues after that but my heart was set on Leonard's which Aman made it happen as well. Rest were the details. Since having done Antun's by Minar for our engagement we knew we had to do something best in terms of food and Benares was the best option. We had to pick Amit for DJ due to his awesomeness and how much people loved him from our engagement. It was really stressful. I wanted a traditional wedding and formal reception. For the wedding everyone wore indian attire (including all our guests).

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I wanted to get a lehenga that my mom would like/her preference. We went to many stores in India. I knew I wanted a red/mahroon lehenga because that's my favorite cold and that's what my mom wanted as well. She was the one who picked my lehenga for me after I refused sooo many. I finally fell in love with this designer store in Shahpur Jat called Arjun Arora Couture. My mom loved the color/design on me and that's the one we picked. :)

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Going to see different vendors, interacting with them, and just knowing we were getting married. We enjoyed going to bridal expos and enjoying the food. Also, our families support was a major thing in the planning process.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
FOOD, Music, Decor, Everything. :)

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The morning of our wedding and our first look up to my Vidaai. All those moments were precious to me that hold a special place in my heart.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
We wanted to do a special dance and it worked out perfectly. Will post a video on our youtube channel soon. :)

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Relax and Enjoy those moments you spend planning for your wedding they are stressful but they won't come back.
