We’re back with all of Meena and Tariq’s wedding deets! Before the ceremony began, the couple adorned themselves in their wedding finery. Maharani Meena was a showstopper in a ruby red gown and angelic hair and makeup by Makeup by Francesca. After the couple's emotional first look, they posted for some glamorous portraits. Their love in these stunning photos positively bursts off the screen. As we entered the lavish ballroom of the Chicago Hilton Hotel, we were blown away by the elaborate design elements Shaadi Creations created. From the intricate draping, peacock shaped floral arrangements, and festive tents erected over the food stations by Shahi Nihari, the space was transformed into an exotic, romantic dreamland. The photographers at Maha Studios captured the whimsy and beauty of the event perfectly, and you can enjoy all the photos in the complete gallery. Maharanis, there are so many special details from Meena and Tariq’s Chicago, IL Pakistani wedding weekend that we’re overwhelmed with what to recap first! We’ll begin with the couple’s chosen wedding date of December 24th. Since the holidays are such a festive time of year, celebrating Meena and Tariq’s union was such a joyous and cozy way to enjoy a Midwest Christmas Eve. We’re also big fans of their Chicago Hilton Hotel venue choice, because with over 1000 guests, a central downtown location ensured that all parties had plenty to experience during moments of downtime. Before the mehndi, Maha Studios took some dazzling portraits of the couple in a lush Chicago arboretum, and the photos are instant framers! Maharanis, some of the most gorgeous pre wedding portraits we’ve seen have been taken in indoor botanical gardens, since nothing beats the natural light, vibrant vegetation, and contained environment of these spaces. Of course, a large reason for the beauty of the photos was the lovely couple! Meena wore a regal white gown featuring turquoise trim, with artistic hair and makeup created by the experts at Makeup by Francesca. We are in awe of the intricate beading and embellishments adorning the bodice of her gown - such stunning artistry. Raja Tariq also looked dapper in a refined navy blue suit that complimented his Maharani perfectly! Soon after this portrait session, the couple attended their sangeet. The event was a fun filled affair and included creative wedding favors that you’ll definitely want to see. All the gorgeousness from Maharani Sumia’s wedding has to come to an end, sadly. We loved reliving her big day through all these photos by Maha Studios. For her final hurrah, the bride settled on a soft gold champagne anarkali. This sweeping gown featured a slit designed halfway that allowed for more embroidery and decor to be incorporated throughout the gown. The reception continued to the Shalimar Banquets and Amer Design Studio jazzed up a venue that was fit for a princess. Motif inspired centerpieces complete with blooming flowers were strategically placed on tabletops. A violinist serenaded the crowd with romantic tunes while DJ Sahil took the reigns for the dance floor. The bride and groom were perched on a sweetheart stage that featured a gold backdrop and spherical chandeliers. We have a lot more visual treats awaiting in the gallery, so take a look!

If there is one thing we admire the most from our Pakistani brides, it would have to be their unique and classic taste in bridal gear. Sumia definitely has an eye for fashion, and it shows! On the day of her Nikah ceremony, a gorgeous deep burgundy and gold lengha made its debut at the Cotillion Banquets. Makeup by Bushra Abbasi was head of glam squad for this celebration and the bride was a walking masterpiece. Bilal was dressed with elegant grandeur in mind as well in a soft gold sherwani and matching two tone turban. A gorgeous cake was fancied up in house. After the ceremony, the bride and groom made a grand exit in a shiny white Rolls Royce from back in the days prepared by Classical Wedding Car. To step into such royalty would be the only way to do it, and this couple did it right! Both Sumia and Bilal have smiles that can melt your heart and are just so picture perfect as captured by Maha Studios! We have a lot more love to share in the gallery!

Today’s featured Maharani is gorgeous Sumia and as we share the details on her lovely love journey, we have to take our hats off to Zainab Zafar of Maha Studios for capturing such an elegant event. There was no doubt in my mind that there was a series of events that led to the big day, but the sangeet had to be one of the most memorable. Amer Design Studio festooned the Shalimar Banquets with a classical Bollywood color scheme in mind. Soft pastels, rich golds, and a groom donning the color of the year - greenery, was the perfect scenery for a flourishing foliage atmosphere. Sumia’s outfit was a deep turquoise number with tangerine pants. Complimentary jewelry did not overshadow this colorful outfit and was a wonderful pick. The night was a jam packed with tradition, performances, traditional cuisine, and of course that euphoria of the big day coming up.
