New Fairfield, NJ Pakistani Wedding by Hugo Juarez Photography

I'm back with the most-anticipated events of the day, Maharanis! Are you ready to revel in Farihah and Saad's Pakistani wedding ceremony and valima at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson? We sure are! Nobility Events planned and designed the most extraordinary event for these two, and Hugo Juarez Photography was there to capture every last breathtaking moment. Our newlyweds tied the knot in an outdoor nikkah ceremony, followed by a reception to remember featuring the most spellbinding floral and decor work by Mandaps by Dhoom. We couldn't be any more grateful to Arva Henna Artist for introducing us to today's blushing bride (her canvas for mehndi creations) and her phenomenal wedding affair. You can reminisce on all the delightful details, plus much more, in the complete gallery!

Maharani Farihah, on her wedding style:

"When I first sat down to plan my wedding I knew the only style I would want is vintage. I wanted everything to be in either ivory/gold/ blush pink. Since the venue we had picked had windows all around with a straight view of New York City, I wanted it to be candle lit and romantic."

On her most memorable wedding moment:

"The most magical moment for me was my father walking me down the aisle with both of us crying as we walked down."

On her and her Raja's first dance song:

"We picked the song Hamdard from the movie Ek Villain. The song/ lyrics expressed how we felt about each other and our relationship."

On the role her family and friends played:

"My little sister made all the favors by hand. My sister is known for her brownies so for my wedding day she made little cakes out of brownies topped with our wedding logo."

Have a perfect rest of the day, Maharanis! We'll meet you back here tomorrow!

New Fairfield, NJ Pakistani Wedding by Hugo Juarez Photography

Hugo Juarez Photography met up with today's Pakistani bride and her Prince Charming at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson for a first look photo session before the two lovebirds tied the knot, and these romantic portraits will truly steal your heart. Maharani Farihah looks sensational in her red Hassan Sheheryar Yasin bridal lengha, carrying a matching bouquet with violet and green accent flowers. Her makeup by Namani Makeup and Hair, and hair by Beauty by Shqipe Gocaj, are looking picture perfect in each and every frame — and we can't wait for her to turn heads as she walks down the aisle at her nikkah. Raja Saad is as dashing as can be in his slick black sherwani, and makes the best accessory for his bride on their big day. You can check out more shots from this phenomenal shoot in the complete gallery!

Maharani Farihah on her Raja's romantic proposal:

"We got engaged at the waterfront area in Hoboken. My husband and his family had traveled from Texas to meet my family for the first time. That weekend with the help of my siblings he surprised me with a proposal and ring."

On her hair and makeup:

"I wanted to have a very simple clean makeup look. I was never one to wear a ton of makeup so I wanted the makeup just to accent the look. I choose a light smokey eye with nude/pink lip color."

It's almost time for these two to tie the knot, and you won't want to miss their incredible nikkah and valima, coming up next!

Maharani Farihah on meeting the Raja of her dreams, Saad:

"Saad and I met our very first day on an island called Dominica. We were there to start medical school at Ross University. We went on a housing tour together and decided to live in the same apartment building. We instantly became very good friends and helped each other overcome the challenges of medical school and living in a new country. We were very good friends for a long time but initially didn't see each other in a romantic way. After repeatedly being asked why we weren't dating, we realized how much we meant to each other and that we were in love ... It only took us one and half years!"

Meet me back her later today for more vibrant pre-wedding fun!

Maharani Ambreen, on what she enjoyed most about planning her dream wedding:

"During the wedding planning process, although there were some disputes between Altaf and I, I honestly enjoyed all aspects of planning that Altaf and I were able to do together. To my fortune, Altaf was involved in a substantial part of the wedding planning process, from helping me choose our first dance song to the minor details like ordering our “#Alfreen” hashtag sign. It was so much fun going food tasting at Café Bombay because in addition to ranking each item that we were going to prospectively cater, both of us ended up eating until our tummies hurt. When practicing for our first dance, I remember how Altaf and I started playing random Bollywood songs and dancing for an hour straight until our legs hurt. I also enjoyed when Altaf and I would get so excited about the minor details in the wedding, such as finding a good sale on sandals for the “dancing slippers” we put out on the reception night for the ladies, or finding the perfect groomsman socks and ties that matched the bridesmaid sarees, or making customized door tags for our guests."

On her most memorable wedding moment:

"I think the most magical moment that I remember from our wedding weekend is our first look, which happened prior to our Nikkah. I still remember when I walked across the bridge in the beautiful Crowne Plaza garden center, Altaf was turned around facing the opposite direction waiting for me to tap him on the shoulder. I was so nervous that I had butterflies as I was walking across the bridge. As I tapped him on the right shoulder, he slowly turned around and that feeling I felt when Altaf and I saw each other for the first time is indescribable. When looking into each other’s eyes, we both blinked our eyelashes, which is our sign for “I love you”, and just smiled. That moment was a very magical beginning to our fairytale wedding."

On her and her Raja's first dance song selection:

"Our first dance song was Jeena Jeena from Badlapur. This song was very significant for the two of us since the first time we heard this song was at a movie theatre in India. This day was also our 10 year anniversary of being together and the same day that we had our wedding cards printed. When thinking about what song would be the perfect fit to our first dance, Altaf and I knew that this would be our song."

On the role that family and friends played:

"Since this was the first wedding from both sides, our families were very excited to help with the planning especially all of the ceremonial rituals during the wedding. This wedding would not have been so successful if it were not for the help of our friends and family, whom sacrificed hours of sleep and were constantly on the move to make sure that each event went as planned and no delays occurred during each event. Because of them, we had a wedding that far exceeded our expectations."

On her dream team of vendors:

"First, Zach Long of FengLong Photography captured all the perfect moments, from the emotions on our families faces to the craziness of our friends. He went out of his way to make sure he was always there on time, even if that meant operating on 3 to 4 hours of sleep. He literally “captured memories” that Ambreen and I can refer back to for the rest of our lives.

Next, Taylor Farrow of One Entertainment Productions, was always ready to listen to all our wild suggestions and made them happen. We felt like they were always recording the perfect moments that made the wedding weekend feel like we were in a real cinema movie that my family and I would be able to watch over and over.

Ricky Walia of Cafe Bombay Indian Bistro & Caterers was amazingly on point with the food all weekend. Although the groom and bride does not often get time to eat, after tasting a few bites, Altaf and I could not stop going for seconds and even thirds (mostly me). Even the presentation of the food was so magnificent that people did not want to eat the food in worries of messing up the masterpiece presentation.

Anh Bui, truly had magical hands. Not only was she such a talented make-up artist but you also kept me feel calm. I felt like I was talking to a friend that made me feel less stressful every time. When I looked in the mirror, I felt so beautiful inside and out.

Sahil Kochhar, Ashwin 'Ash' Vasudevan, Anis Ali and rest of Prime DJs group did a great job not only with the magnificent lighting but also played some amazing music. They all did a wonderful job as our DJs. All of our guests had a blast, and they were a big part of the reason why. They kept the crowd dancing and set the perfect mood with the right mix of songs. Almost everyone told us how much their legs were hurting from dancing so much on Friday night and Saturday night.

Manisha's Mehendi Designs, thanks for doing such a good job with Ambreen’s Mehndi. It was very intricate and beautiful.

Finally, Beenish’s work of Events InStyle By Beenish, Inc., was truly a piece of art and she took care of everything like she promised. The decor was something I couldn't wait to see and it looked absolutely beautiful. I got a number of compliments at the wedding and I am so glad we picked her."

That's it for today, my dears. Join us again tomorrow for more sensational wedding wonders!
