How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met him on New Year’s Eve and in only a matter of weeks I felt like he was the one.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
He took me to whistler hills on a sleigh ride to the top of the mountain where he proposed.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
All my vendors were amazing. I love the wedding industry so I knew a lot about which vendors I wanted to choose. My husband knows a lot about photography and videography so he chose those bits. In terms of venue, we wanted something outdoors so we decided to go with a manor. It was perfect.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I had no colour in mind when I chose my lengha. I was very fond of Rimple and Harpreet and fell in love with their lenghas immediately. It didn’t take me long to choose which one I wanted to wear.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Going to India to choose the outfits and jewellery. Gave me a chance to travel and see what is out there.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The venues, the decor, and clothing

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Enjoy the process!

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Ashish and I crossed paths in Fall of 2016 at a Falcons tailgate. We were introduced to each other through mutual friends. (Website gives a full description)

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Ashish planned the perfect proposal! It was Thanksgiving Day and we had planned to go to his sister's house for a wonderful dinner. Both of our families and friends were all having a fun time. Prior to eating dinner, we all wrapped around the island into a circle and took turns saying what we were thankful for. Ashish somehow managed to plan out where I would go right after him. (Of course by doing this, he knew that I would be so focused on my turn being next and not pay attention to him or what he was saying). During his turn, he talked about all of the things he was thankful for and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! For everyone that knows me, I am the hardest person to surprise but he did it! He somehow managed to get all of our families and friends together and plan the sweetest and most thoughtful proposal!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
With Ashish and I both being Virgos, we were organized and ready to plan this wedding! From google spreadsheets to shared calendars, we were unstoppable!. Our experiences with Erica Bogart (Hair), Mital Dhodia (Decor), Surinder Bedi (Reception Outfit) and Dhaval Patel (Food) were phenomenal! Each one of our vendors went out of their way to make sure things were perfect for us on our big day!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Growing up with 2 sister's, my mom has always done our Indian clothes shopping for us. We have built a strong trust factor in knowing she will get exactly what we want. I told my mom I wanted something different and definitely wanted a coral color incorporated into the dress.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part for both Ashish and I was to plan a reception at the Mercedes Benz Stadium! Once we were told we had the venue lockdown on the date we wanted, we were super excited to start planning! To be the first ever wedding reception at this venue made it an even better experience!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our guests loved everything about our wedding for food, decor and entertainment! But most of all, our guests loved having the experience of being able to sit on the field for our reception!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The first time stepping out on the field with everything set up. We walked onto the field to take pictures but both Ashish and I had to take a step back to take everything in and remember that moment forever. To be able to have our photos on the halo and screens inside the stadium was priceless!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
R. My words of wisdom for other brides- All of the fights and arguments that will come about during the planning process will not matter at the end of the day. Always remember the only thing that matters will be you and your significant other on your special day!

That is all for today, darlings! We hope you've enjoyed this fabulous wedding as much as we did. If so, don't forget to join us tomorrow for a new love story!

Birmingham, AL Indian Fusion Wedding by YNOT iMages

Happy Monday, darlings! We were dying to get back to you to take you on one of those visual journeys that we love so much. So, let's not wait any longer and get ready to enjoy all the beauty surrounding Aneesa & Vernon's wedding bash. You are going to love this multi-day fusion wedding as it packs tons of captivating moments and inspiring details, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to have your pen and notebook handy to write down your favorite ones! The first day of celebration started with a vibrant and colorful Sangeet celebrated inside the halls of Events at Haven. The interiors of this venue honored its name and transformed into a magical and heavenly setting thanks to the fabulous decor and floral arrangements crafted by HotHouse Design Studio. There was so much beauty overflowing from every corner of this venue, that we can't take our eyes away from the fabulous shots captured by YNOT iMages. For the second day of the wedding, it was time to carry on with the Christian ceremony hosted at the Grand Bohemian Hotel Mountain Brook. And oh boy, we were amazed by the chic but modern style of this ceremony featuring a black, white, and gold color palette. So big kudos to Valia Rose Events, as they were the mastermind behind the planning and execution of this dreamy event! After the ceremony, it was time to celebrate the newlyweds with an elegant and luxurious reception party enlivened by B Brian Inc, who owned the stage, putting everyone to dance! This closing gala followed the line of amazingness set in all previous events and had perfection written all over the place. So much beauty and so much flair! But nothing compared to our gorgeous Aneesa, who looked like a goddess throughout the different ceremonies thanks to the exquisite makeup designed by Jayson Glenn, the glamorous hairstyle by MiRich Hair and the impressive Mehndi designed by Sonia's Threading & Spa. In between all the dancing, the delicious food prepared by BayLeaf, and the mouth-melting cake baked by Cakes by Kim, this closing gala got to an end. If you want to check more about this fabulous celebration, don't miss today's gallery!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
While Aneesa was attending Tuskegee University, two of her sorority sisters decided to play match maker for their cousin, Vernon.  Vernon was a student at the University of Alabama- Birmingham at the time.  After weeks of talking on the phone, they decided to finally get together for dinner. The rest was history!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Vernon planned a proposal infront of Aneesa's mothers home.  After the proposal, we walk into the home to a surprise party with all of our friends and families.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We first saw a beautiful marble invitation on Pinterest, and all of the other details were then built from that.  The style we went for was chic and modern with a Black, white & gold color palate.  From the cake to the dance floor—the theme was everywhere! We shared these ideas with our planners-- Valia Rose-- and they made it all possible!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I used Utsav Fashion for my lengha.  I wanted something that had pink and gold in it.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Vernon and I loved making our dreams ideas a reality. We saw so many ideas we loved on pinterest-- but having our planner help combine them all was amazing! They took all of our inspiration and made it one!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our guests loved all of the details that went into planning the event. The cookies at the Sangeet were so unique and such a fun gift for our guests.  Our invitations had a beautiful gold “A V” acrylic design on them.  This same design was used throughout the wedding, which tied everything together so nicely.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The whole weekend was just so magical! The guests were full of excitement and the weekend just felt like the best party in the world.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Have fun on your wedding day! The hard work is over, and now it is just time to enjoy everything.  Something is bound to go wrong (we had a groomsman rip his pants hours before the ceremony!)- so just laugh with the craziness.  It really is a once in a lifetime experience, so make the most out of the day.

We can't think of a better way to start the week off with the right foot! If you love this type of inspiring stories, don't forget to join us tomorrow for more!

And believe us, you are going to love every bit of this fabulous event! The wedding day arrived, and these lovebirds were so excited to achieve this life milestone that they wanted to immortalize every moment of this day, so they headed over to the Curzon Hall by Navarra Venue to snap some shots right before the wedding ceremony. And oh boy, every image is a visual delight!. After this initial photoshoot, it was time to carry on with the wedding ceremony hosted inside the halls of the Gurdwara Sahib Glenwood. As soon as the guests stepped into the interiors of this venue, they were immediately amazed by the fabulous decor crafted by Shagun Events and the gorgeous floral arrangements put together by Anna Wang. It was a winning combination that delivered nothing but utter perfection! And we want to give a big shoutout to Rustam & Harustat as they were the masterminds behind the planning and execution of this spectacular event. They took the vision of their dreamed wedding and made it a reality. How amazing is that! And talking about amazingness, let's take a moment to admire the fashion and jewelry choices selected by our gorgeous Maharani. She trusted her beauty needs to Sana Hair & Makeup, while Rimple and Harpreet Narula Couture took her fashion needs care. And my gosh, we loved the final result! To crown this traditional look, she got dazzling pieces of jewelry from Jagdish Jewellers and LeFleur Jewels, adding an extra touch of flair to her look. And let's not forget about the gorgeous Mehndi designed by Arora Mehndi. Simply amazing! If you can't get enough of this lovely couple, don't miss today's full gallery!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
This tale begins around two years ago when the couple first exchanged a harmless follow on Instagram. Seeing the sweet, sensible and cultured photos on Harustat’s page, Rustam knew she was the perfect type of girl for him. He also knew a direct approach would get him nowhere so he started a conversation about Harustat’s dog Rex, a topic he knew would spark some good conversation. Talking about this special pupper lead to a conversation about various topics whereby they discovered this casual conversation could actually lead somewhere.

Upon discussing this with family, a first meeting was set and Rustam boarded the next flight to Adelaide. Butterflies flying around in the stomach and goosebumps everywhere, they approached each other in person for the first time. Spending some quality time with one another and Harustat’s family in the peaceful city of Adelaide, the couple realised their intuition was correct, and their relationship progressed to the next step.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
After careful and coordinated research (and the assistance from both sides of the family), Rustam planned the perfect proposal for Harustat. Many factors had to align to create the perfectly envisioned proposal, including weather, availability of the helicopter operator, cameraman and cinematographer, all whilst keeping Harustat completely unaware. Three days of torrential rain forced Rustam to make multiple conference calls to the vendors to reschedule this grand event. After countless reschedules, the special day arrived where all vendors worked in perfect harmony to create a magical surprise proposal.

Harustat was blindfolded and told she would see some wonderful native wildlife on a secret mountain. She was told the helicopter was being shared with the cameraman and cinematographer as this was the only flight available due to the nonstop rain. Being an avid wildlife lover, she believed every bit of it and was more than ready to pat some baby animals.

Upon landing, Rustam placed her down in amongst a heart of rose petals on the lush green grass on the mountainous terrain in Queenstown, New Zealand. When she opened her eyes, to her surprise, was her man down on one knee asking for her hand in marriage. In complete awe and excitement, a ‘YES’ was proclaimed from Harustat and a sigh of relief was achieved after many days of tormenting confusion as to why her partner was constantly on the phone when they were supposed to be on their holiday together.

This auspicious occasion was topped off with a champagne celebration and drive home from Glenorchy to Queenstown. Following this, the wedding was officially on and the couple commenced the tedious and stress-inducing wedding preparation procedure.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We planned every detail considering the wants and desires from both sides. Our overall experience was very good however also quite stressful. As we are both very meticulous people, getting everything perfectly right took a lot of effort. The whole process was a rollercoaster ride however we were more than happy with the end result.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I visited many large bridal showrooms all over Delhi and Punjab to find my perfect lengha but opted for Rimple and Harpreet. I had a royal vintage Punjabi heritage theme in mind, inspired by my grandparents wedding outfits and the Maharaja era.

Growing up in western countries and having mostly caucasian friends, I always wanted a white wedding dress but due to differences in both cultures I had grown up with, I decided to incorporate something that would reflect both my Punjabi Sikh heritage and western culture brought up. Therefore I knew my base colour of the lengha had to be ivory/white with intricate colourful details and designs that connected me back to my roots.

I felt that only Rimple and Harpreet were the perfect designers to help deliver my vision into reality after seeing their clothing on instagram reflected Punjabi culture exactly how I envisioned it. After several discussions with Rimple and her design team we created a lengha that was unique and executed who I was and my vision perfectly highlighting all aspects I had in mind. I went in with a colour palette of royal blue, rustic orange and maroons with some sort of green tone.

My lengha describes who I am and has many heritage elements to it. It also incorporates my love for animals and flowers through the multiple peacocks, deers and native birds of Punjab embroidered amongst florals and abstract patterns. It took many months for the design to take shape but the end result was 100% better than imagined!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part would definitely be 'agreeing on things'. We shared different opinions on many things and were both adamant on ensuring perfection in every aspect of the wedding. These differing opinions did make decision making challenging, so when we did agree on something straight away, it made that aspect MUCH easier!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
From what we heard, our guests absolutely loved the traditional aspect of the wedding. In fact, we had many guests from India shocked to see so much tradition come back in front of their eyes, aspects which they had not seen in Sikh Punjabi weddings in India too! They also loved our wedding outfits and the attention to detail we had for all the decorations.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Walking down the aisle, the first look we shared and completing the final 'Laav' were definitely memories that will forever be cherished.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
