But I guess that's what happens when you are having so much fun enjoying the romantic and inspiring love stories that we have for you every day! And this Friday is no exception. Let's prepare for the weekend by taking a look at Shoheera & Mohammad's love story, and believe us; this is one you don't want to miss. The 3-day long wedding bash started with a series of pre-wedding events filled with traditional flair, colorfulness, and lots of love. So you can imagine how excited we were when we received this wedding on our editorial desk! The exclusive Atlanta Marriott Alpharetta was the venue of choice to host all wedding events, and we can't think of a better place to have hosted this celebration of love as the versatility and accommodations offered by this venue is like no other! Royal Dekors enhanced the beauty of the entire festivities thanks to the marvelous decor they created. Each setting was completely different from each other but equally mesmerizing and impressive, and all we have to say is that they did a fantastic job! And before we go any further, we want to take a moment to admire the ravishing look of our gorgeous Maharani whose presence during the entire festivities marveled and amazed all guests! Hands down, Shoheera showcased her exquisite fashion sense, donning classy attires and rocking a glamorous makeup designed by Color Impressions by Saba. The cherry on top of this dreamy look was the artistic and elaborate Mehndi designed by Beauty You Deserve! After the wedding ceremony concluded, a luxurious wedding reception started, and oh boy, the backdrop of this closing gala was reminiscent of an ancient Indian palace! Elegance and traditional flair at its best! DJ Vibes enlivened every moment of this party and put everyone to dance. For dinner time, all guests enjoyed delicious plates prepared by Asmas Cuisine, right before having a bite of the sweet cake baked by Inspirations Unlimited. How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met Mohammad ("Mo") while I was doing my Master's program in Boston. He moved there for work. I was trying to be more social at the mosque, so I decided to go out with a group of people for bowling. Mo was working late that night, but one of his friends (who planned the bowling night) convinced Mo take a break and join us. That's the first night we met and hung out together.

When we met, it was an instant spark. As I got to know Mo as friends, I saw a lot of signs that pointed towards him being "the one". We got along really well, shared many of the same values and ideals in life, which for me was a rare find, and we supported each other with our goals and ambitions. There wasn't really one specific moment where I knew - I think there were lots of mini moments that confirmed that we were meant to be together through the course of our relationship.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
We both come from a traditional family! So there was no proposal. We had a very traditional engagement ceremony with our family and friends, complete with the ring exchange, dinner, and dancing.

He did surprise me with the most amazing date night, with dinner at the same place as our very first date, a walk through our favorite neighborhood, and dropping down on one knee to ask me to marry him.....A MONTH BEFORE our wedding. I guess all the hints I dropped about wanting to be proposed to post-engagement really worked.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Wedding planning was stressful because I was planning a 3 day wedding in Atlanta from Boston, but I started very early. I secured the venue, decorator, photo/videographer and caterer 10-11 months before the date. I relied mostly on word of mouth - vendors I knew have done an exceptional job in the past. I looked through Instagram and Facebook to see their work as well. I had a list of priorities where I knew I couldn't compromise on: food was a big one. At a desi wedding, the only thing that your guests care about is food. Photo/video was another priority because that's all that would be left to look at once the big day was over.

I will say, if I had to plan my wedding all over again, I would not change a single vendor. They were all so amazing to work with and they were truly amazing people that I got to know during that year of planning.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Most girls have a vision of how they want their dress to look like years and years in advance. I just knew I wanted my dress to be the traditional red. I had a few ideas (long top, skirt) but I was very open to other ideas. I traveled to Pakistan for my wedding shopping and relied on word of mouth about which designer would be the best one for me. The first (and only) place we went to was PLK (they're super well known in Pakistan), and that's where I got every single outfit designed (from scratch) for myself. Because I didn't have any specific idea or vision for the dress, I was able to mix and match designs, fabrics, shades of color, and styles for every inch of my wedding dress.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
THE FOOD. To this day, we have family and friends talk about how AMAZING food was at our wedding. I'm so glad I went with Asma's Cuisine. They catered my engagement dinner and I knew that day that they would be the only ones that would cater my wedding.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
We had a very traditional 3 day desi wedding. The first day was mehndi, second was pithi/haldi + sangeet, and the third day was Nikkah in the morning with a reception in the evening.

I didn't have too many ideas for my decor, with the exception of the backdrop for sangeet and reception. Yasmin Khan of RoyalDekors really helped bring out my creative and visionary side and added her own experience and input to come up with decor that would look unique and beautiful for each event.

The dances at the sangeet were another favorite moment. Mo and my friends and our cousins did a 45 minute sequence of dances and a skit that portrayed our love story. We had a cousins/siblings dance for both sides, a girls dance, a guys dance, and a ShoMo dance followed by the skit.

Reception was quick because I really wanted to have a large amount of time dedicated to open dance floor. After our entrance, we had our first dance, cake cutting, speeches, and then we played the shoe game - you know, the one where we sit back to back holding one of each other's shoes as we get asked questions about each other - followed by dinner and dancing.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Start planning early. Us girls have a very specific vision of how we want our wedding to be for years and years. And if that is the case with you, it is best to start planning well in advance to secure your vendors who can make your dream wedding a reality. Come up with a list of things that you do not want to compromise on (for me, it was food and photo/video) and set your budget accordingly. I also think it's so important to try and take your wedding day one moment at a time. The day really flies by fast so enjoy it as much as you can!

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
My makeup and hair was done by Saba Jawed of Color Impressions by Saba. She was so great to work with. Because I didn't have a clear vision for each look, she really worked with me to figure out how to make each look for every event beautiful and unique. She made me look and feel like a Maharani bride.

My mehndi was done by Nikki Karimi from Beauty you Deserve and I LOVED her work. I really wanted mehndi that was very intricate and that's exactly what she did.

I also decided to get fresh flower gajray bracelets made for my sangeet night. Gardlands by Yasmin did that and I think she also did an amazing job. I showed her the color of my outfit and she made beautiful bracelets to match my outfit.

My cake was made by Nausheen Amir of Inspirations Unlimited. I asked her to incorporate my bridal lengha designs into the cake and she did just that. The cake looked spectacular and really complimented by bridal lengha.

Have an awesome weekend, ladies! Remember to wash your hands, share time with your loved ones, and, most importantly, don't forget to join us on Monday for more!

Berlin, NJ Indian Wedding by Impressions by Annuj

Good morning, Maharanis! We are right in the middle of this fabulous week, and there is no better way to start this Wednesday than taking a look at all the amazingness surrounding Riddhi & Ankit's big wedding festivities. So, let's not wait any longer and jump right into it! Right from the start, we have to say that this whimsical wedding ceremony was a cornucopia of beauty, love, and traditional flair, so you are going to love every bit of it. Still, what we loved the most was the magical, and almost heavenly, wedding ceremony hosted inside the halls of the Lucien's Manor. The interiors of this luxurious and exclusive venue, completely transformed into a mesmerizing backdrop filled with floral arrangements in soft-pasteli-hues thanks to the marvelous decor put together by the good friends at Partyland Sajawat. They took our lovebirds' vision of a dream wedding and made it a reality. How amazing is that! Although the decor was something to die for, it was our Riddhi, who stole all the looks after being pampered by Heena Das Beauty. The nude makeup, the on-point eyeliner contour, and the classy hairstyle, all a perfect combination to create a ravishing look for this Maharani! On the fashion department, Falguni Shane Peacock designed a gorgeous red lengha with golden embroidery that we absolutely adored. And the final touch, to achieve the ultimate bridal look, was in charge of Mendhi by Anuja, who designed a beautiful Mehndi that we cannot stop seeing. Beauty and flair at its best! After the wedding ceremony, it was time to celebrate the newlyweds with a vibrant reception party animated by none other than MVP DJs, who owned the stage and played the best Bollywood hits that put everyone to dance! When dinner time arrived, all the guests enjoyed a full culinary experience prepared by the talented from Moghul Caterers, who served mouth-melting plates that left everyone speechless! If you want to take a closer look at this fabulous celebration of love, don't miss the jaw-dropping gallery captured by Impressions By Annuj. Every single shot is an absolute visual delight that you don't want to miss, so go check them all out!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Ankit and I met at Rutgers University where we both graduated in Finance. Being in the same classes and having mutual friends, we became friends ourselves. As our friendship grew into crushes and then into love I knew he was the one when I saw what he valued in life. Family above all.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Ankit proposed to me in Dubrovnik, Croatia! Everything was picture perfect. I was ready for a full day of sightseeing and as the planner I am wanted to bring a backpack, water bottles, snacks etc Ankit convinced me to bring nothing at all because he wanted to go see the location of GOT scene of Battle of Blackwater. Since this was the only place he planned I decided I would just go along with it. He led me through back alleys and narrow roads. We made our way to the water edge on beautiful rocks with the walled City in front of us. Ankit got down on one knee and proposed. I actually was so shocked I didn’t say anything at all just shook my head yes so he had to ask again! The photographer he hired had captured our magically moment. The most heartwarming part of the proposal was when we got back to our AirBnb. Ankit had asked all our friends and family to record a congrats message and he played the video for me. For the entire 15 minutes I was in tears seeing my parents, grandparents friend and family wishing us on the moment important day even know they couldn’t be there in person!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Both Ankit and I are the eldest and one of the first to get married in NJ. We worked together like a team throughout the process. I would do the research and make initial contact. After narrowing the vendors down Ankit would swoop in and work with them on negotiating and the contacts. There was not even one aspect of the wedding where we didn’t overlook. We budgeted with spreadsheets and graphs, we created our own wedding programs, handpicked our menu for each event and choreographed our dances. It was such a magically day because we become very close to the vendors since we worked so hard together to find people that worked well with us. We wanted each moment to be as special to our friends and family as it was to us. They were the reason we were there and we wanted to make sure they knew we appreciated that!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Red!!! I always pictured walking down the aisle in a red lengha. I’m pretty decisive with my choices and when I saw my red lengha with floral pinks and blue and bottom of jade I knew it was the one for me. My reception lengha was even more special to me. I worked with Falguni Shane Peacock in person to customize and create the perfect look. We took parts of designs from her previous looks and added and took away details to make a customized and perfect look for me. Meeting her was such an honor as I was such a fan of hers!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Weeks leading up to the wedding my entire family camped out at my parents house all together and it was the most amazing part of the wedding process. Whether it was creating the welcome baskets or making signs, we would all sit in the living room chatting, singing, loudly arguing and laughing together. From my grandparents, parents, cousins and aunts and uncles we all would stay up late, practice dances and make jokes. Those were the days I will cherish for the rest of my life.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The personal touches were very important for us! We wanted to make sure our guests knew how valued they were in our lives. Anyone that entered our hotel on Friday had a special Welcome Committee that would greet them at the front door. They would have a garland presented to them, tikko in their forehead and would be handed the welcome basket which was an actual basket packed with essentials. For the wedding we had food packets on the chairs, each with special food we parceled from India and handmade sweets and snacks from my mom and grandmother for all 500 guests. Our wedding programs were designed by Ankit and I. During our Sangeet we had food stalls of paanwala, ice gola and even pani puri! We tried to keep all programs to a minimal so everyone had plenty of time to eat dance and enjoy! Our cake was even packed in to go boxes for anyone that missed out!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Our entrance dance. Ankit and I had practiced our entrance dance for hours and days in our apartments. There were stressful days and days we were just exhausted from work but we practiced. Right before going out in the crowd, Ankit and I looked at each other. We were officially married, after 7 years of dating, 1 year of being engaged, months of planning, we were finally here. We knew everyone outside were the most special people that made our lives as blessed as it was. We knew we would be going outside as a unit and team officially for the first time even though we had felt it for long! We had so many nerves but we smiled and we were ready!

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
One epic part of our wedding were the dances. Ankit and I worked hard perfecting our entrance dance as well as our first dance! We choreographed both and practiced endlessly. We only had one performance and it was our bridal party. They did a epic 15 minute skit/ performances fully equipped with props, voiceovers and surprises  of our love story and bringing us back to present day.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Work as a team! The day of your wedding is all yours and seeing the details come together is so fulfilling and even more to cherish knowing you did it as partners.
Your vendors are also your partners. The day of you end up spending more of your time with your photographer, videographer and make up artist so please choose wisely. It’s your team, your the captain and only choose team members that you work well with because it will make the day of so much more stress free!

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
One of the highlights for Ankit and I are were our engagement shoots. Annuj our photographer who is from Canada is absolutely brilliant. As Ankit and I love to travel, I found an old war plane museum in Canada and we were able to do our photoshoot there! Annuj made the experience unforgettable! The week of our wedding we did another photoshoot in NJ - whimsical and beautiful Gardens where ever picture looked right out of a fairytale. We wanted a large contrast from both shoots from edgy to romantic etc and Annuj captured everything perfectly. When Ankit proposed he booked photographed in Croatia and Greece and were able to do our pre wedding shoots in Dubrovnik and Santorini as well which was absolutely epic!

That is all for today, darlings. Remember that we have new and inspiring stories every day, so make sure to join us tomorrow. Same place, same time!

Serbia, Turkey & India Indian Fusion Wedding by CineLove

Happy Monday, beauty queens! A full weekend without your company feels like an eternity, but we are so excited to be back so we can continue sharing our passion for fantastic wedding celebrations! And today's featured wedding is nothing less than spectacular. It is so unique and filled with surprises that we can firmly say that this is unlike any other wedding that we have witnessed in quite a while. For starters, Bobana & Ansh's fairytale had three different destinations: Serbia, Turkey, and India. How amazing is that! Every event of this wedding was mesmerizing as breathtaking, and we find ourselves lost of words to describe the jaw-dropping attires and the swoon-worthy set-ups conceptualized and styled by none other than Meha Bhargava of Styl.Inc. The celebrations started with a heavenly Christian ceremony in Belgrade Serbia, which is Bobana's hometown. And oh boy, this opening ceremony was to die for! From the captivating decor crafted by Svadbena zvona to the ravishing look of our gorgeous couple, everything was amazing! The festivities continued in Antalya, Turkey, where they had a 3-day long, Indian wedding. A colorful Haldi, a fun-loving Mehndi, and a vibrant Sangeet were just the preamble for the full-traditional Indian wedding ceremony held at the Titanic Mardan Palace. This paradisiacal venue, which combines traditional architecture and a soothing natural environment, added an extra touch of uniqueness to this event, becoming the perfect backdrop for these lovebirds to profess their love and commitment to each other. The wedding festivities concluded with an unforgettable reception held at the Mor Bagh - New Delhi, where All in Organization & Events took care of the decor, and Manish Puri enlivened every moment with upbeat melodies. Hands down, Bobana & Ansh's had the wedding of their dreams! And this could not have been possible without a highly talented and experienced team like the one Bobana & Ansh's had by their side. So big kudos to Chapter 2 Events for the on-point planning and execution, Anjie Gogna for the ravishing look created for our gorgeous Maharani and CineLove for the marvelous shots that made this feature possible! Visit today's gallery for a full revel of this wedding!

Rajasthan, India Indian Wedding by Vows and Tales

Good morning, beauty queens! We are starting this Tuesday with a trip to India. Yes, you read right: India! Today, we are heading over to Rajasthan, India, to take part in Shalini & Rishi's 3-day wedding festivities. So, get yourselves ready, because what is coming right ahead will take your breath away! There is something extra special about weddings that take place in India that never ceases to amaze us. Maybe it is the fact that they are full of flair and traditions, or perhaps it is the fact that seeing a love story come to life in the very same place where our dearest traditions started is mindblowing. We really don't know! What we do know is that today's love story will make your inspiration fly, and your hearts melt with tenderness and joy, so let's don't wait any longer and get ready to be amazed! Let's start by taking a look at the mesmerizing wedding ceremony held at the surroundings of the Joypur Bansi Resort. This striking venue, which also hosted the Sangeet and the reception party, was the perfect place for Shalini & Rishi to tie the knot. There was so much beauty overflowing from every single scene of the ceremony that anywhere you looked, it had perfection written all over the place. Same perfection and beauty that we found in our gorgeous Maharani. She donned a traditional but glamorous lengha designed by Papa Don't Preach By Shubhika, and walked down the aisle looking like a goddess! It was a perfect moment, where everyone sighed and dropped a couple of tears of joy over so much beauty. And we want to give a big shoutout to Shraddha Luthra and Sunita Pawar for taking such good care of Shalini's beauty needs. Their spectacular work is so impressive, and we cannot stress how much we loved it. But that is not all! Shalini went a little further to achieve her dreamed bridal look and got marvelous pieces of jewelry from Ra Abta by Rahul Luthra and a fabulous Mehndi designed by Deepa Mehandi Art. After the ceremony, there was an epic reception party that marked the end of the wedding festivities, and it was so spectacular that we found ourselves lost in words to describe it. Thankfully, the good friends from Vows and Tales were there to capture all the amazingness. Dive into this fabulous celebration by visiting today's gallery!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I wrote a short story about us, would like to share it here.

A ‘Just In Time’ Love Story

As most of the best relationships go, Rishi and I were introduced through mutual friends. From our first date in a small italian restaurant, to a romantic surprise proposal full of champagne and best friends in NYC’s Central Park Bow Bridge, our love story was the fairytale every girl dreams of.

While there were months of being physically apart and plenty of arguments due to many cultural differences, our love story is one for the modern age.

Several years ago, my sister settled in the US and ever since, my heart and spirit were torn. My heart will forever belong to India but my spirit wanted to achieve something wonderful in the land of opportunity. Rishi was the answer to a question I never asked.

God’s timing is a mysterious thing and one needs to have faith in it

From Rishi’s surprise trip to India early in our relationship, to our Iceland and Paris vacations, to my parents surprising us in Los Angeles, We were blessed with the hand of God gently guiding us throughout. This followed our engagement in LA in the presence of our loved ones.

Our The-Day was here!!

I have always wanted a wedding full of memories, traditions, much fun with our loved ones.. much before this had planned it all!
Just days before the world went under lockdown, We lived our Dream, a magnificent Destination Wedding in Jaipur, India- full of many loved ones who braved COVID-19 to celebrate our union.
Just the way I dreamt my wedding to be! I am and will be forever thankful to the ones who were part creating these moments.

Now, quarantined together in Santa Monica, California - looking through our incredible pictures by Vows & Tales and waking up to such beautiful posts by bloggers from across, is reliving those memories.

Realizing how many couples have had to postpone their wedding celebrations - I want to share a small piece of advice. Love is more important than any celebration - but a wedding celebration is about the people - so, if you can - wait and do it right.

Hang in there and lots of love,
-Shalini

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
RED. The only thing I was sure about is - Wanted to keep my wedding lehanga red. Red color may be played out or something that brides have been wearing since centuries but I needed no modern twist there, Specially when Pastels are trending, I still wanted to have a red lehanga which could look very traditional and royal for the ceremony but since I was wearing my lehanga for the reception too after the sunset Pheeras, I needed something that could look very royal for the ceremony and classy as well as chic for the reception.
I instantly fell in love with my outfit when I tried the Rimple and Harpreet's beautiful design. I did not even try any other design.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
You never enjoy planning your own wedding.
Being an event planner myself, planning my own wedding and whole process was extremely stressful.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Guest had A LOT OF FUN. All they did was - dress up, dance, drink and eat.
They enjoyed pretty much everything- from the world's cuisines personally curated for each event according to theme, dancing till 8AM every night, interesting and unique themes of events. All 4 days for them were total madness and fun. And last but not the least the gorgeous cake is something they still talking about.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
On my D day - The moment when I saw my groom and when Rishi saw his bride. The connection and that eye contact between me and Rishi was the most amazing feeling ever. The moment I would cherish for life. It's a feeling that can't be put in word.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
The whole wedding was inspired by Peacocks and elephants that includes the Mandap decor, the favours, cutleries, Decor, My mehendi and even my LEHENGA. This was because Rishi loves elephants and I adore peacocks.
