West Orange, NJ Indian Wedding by Images by Berit

Hello Maharanis! We’re at the picturesque Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange to revel in the gorgeous reception of Monique and Mayank. When Maharani Monique told us that she incorporated her graphic design skills into signs, banners, personalized water bottles among other things, we knew we were in for a treat! To put it simply, Monique and Mayank’s reception not only redefined glam, but gave us a whole new and enthralling perspective of customization at a wedding. We had a serious case of #decorgoals from just looking at the marvelous work of Elegant Affairs. The asymmetrical drapes against a shimmery backdrop on the stage just lit up the entire ballroom, and on its own, Pleasantdale Chateau was promising given the Art Deco interiors. Maharani Monique twirled pretty in a gorgeous gold and cream gown, as Band Bajha Entertainment entertained the guests with their fusion music. Later when DJUSA took over, he kept everyone on their toes and glued to the dance floor. Blue Moon Video Productions was filming throughout, so as to not miss any of the many significant moments, and all these pictures by Images by Berit is making us wait with bated breath for the film. From signature drinks customized by the couple to Mayank on the guitar singing his own composition, this reception was packed with magical and momentous elements. Check out the gallery to be completely marveled!

Welcome back, Maharanis! Having just seen Monique and Mayank’s outdoor ceremony at Pleasantdale Chateau, we are convinced that we have never seen such a perfect mix of traditional, tasteful, and royal! It was evident that it took particular expertise to orchestrate such magnificence, and decor connoisseurs like Elegant Affairs brought the vision to fruition. DJUSA set the tone of merriment for the rest of the ceremony with a festive and joyous Baraat. Everything from start to end was gleaming in gorgeousness, but our Maharani Monique is on top of that list. Dressed in a green and cream pairing from Roopkala Designers, the gold baroque appliqué embroidery on her lehenga was simply exquisite. “My bridal henna by Mansi Shah was a topic of so many conversations, as I showed off the unique designs including the incorporation of my prince playing a guitar in my henna!” shared the exuberant Monique. Sanjana Vaswani further enhanced Monique’s bridal glory by giving her a side swept updo, and one of the most stunning brown smokey eyes we have ever seen. Guests were treated to lunch and live music from Dolce Ensemble prior to the wedding ceremony. Elegant Affairs outshone in the decor area. A grand gold Mandap with a dome structure overlooked the pond. Hints of decadence permeated through the burgundy drapes and hanging blooms that adorned the aisle on the lawn. The entire podium was luxuriously decorated with embroidered drapes. The happy couple made an exit in full regalia in a horse-drawn carriage, to their reception. Oh and did we share the best highlight? - David Beynon Pena live painted the ceremony! Relive this top-notch splendor through our gallery featuring the excellent work of Images by Berit

Even the skeptics are going to take a step back and wonder if Monique and Mayank’s wedding was a fairytale that came to life.  We were in love with the first look portraits and the bridal party clicks, taken in the outdoors of the historic Pleasantdale Chateau, a venue that exuded timelessness and grandeur. Images by Berit did a spectacular job capturing the plethora of details before and during this glorious bash! This multi event celebration commenced with a vibrant Garba/ Sangeet at the Westminster Hotel. “We wanted colors that elicited joyful atmosphere and chose our decor and outfits to that effect. We also provided personalized dandiyas to our guests,” recalled the excited Maharani! Elegant Affairs achieved all that and more, via the stunning printed and embroidered drapes in bright hues like fuchsia, blue and orange. They also used Kairi motifs to add a hint of ethnic to the decor. Maharani Monique looked like a dream in her sea turquoise and gold anarkali. Her hair and makeup done by Sanjana Vaswani were truly showstopping - an elegant pulled back braided bun, midnight blue smokey eye, and a powdery blush glow finished Monique’s look. Chand Palace catered scrumptious Indian delicacies, and the buffet table decor featured colorful umbrellas with butta prints and sequins, and yellow drapes. Blue Moon Video Productions captured all the live action on film. This was vibrancy at its finest, and you have to check out the gallery full of inspiration and ideas!

Long Island, NY, Fusion Wedding by Ajit Singh Photography

One of the most distinctive and commendable features from Namitha and Yash’s big day(s) was just how unique each event was. It was evident that Aura Events and Entertainment treated each occasion like a standalone event. Florals took centerstage at the reception at Carlyle On The Green. The chosen ballroom had the finest ambience given the Palladian windows overlooking the lush landscape, adorned with white organza drapes. Design House Decor wowed the guests (and us) with the interplay of lavender and dim orange lighting. A pink rose wallpaper served as the stage backdrop, amidst a floral and foliage frame-of-sorts. The monochrome table setting offset the florals and color galore gorgeously - ivory Chiavari chairs and cream linens with pops of baby pink via the floral arrangements. Namitha opted for an pink and cream ombre lehenga, with an embroidered tulle overlay. Her hair was side-swept and left loose in gorgeous curls, with an antique gold jhumar as the finishing touch. Beauty by Tamanna gave Namitha a stunning metallic pink smokey eye, one that we have vowed to recreate at the next wedding we attend! The pink from her makeup, outfit, and bangles contrasted Zara Henna’s intricate Mehndi design so wonderfully! The live jazz music from the band Like Minds Trio brought in a whiff of retro, after which DJ Amritpal Singh from Bollywood DJs took over once the guests hit the dance floor. Given just how big of a role music and dance played in this shindig, we cannot wait to see the feature film from Swat Films. Ajit Singh Photography turned the sweetness up a notch with a series of well-timed clicks, and great portraits! Make your way to the gallery brimming with ideas and inspiration for a contemporary fusion wedding!

Phoenix, AZ Indian Wedding by Birdsong Wedding Photography

Welcome to the magical land of crystal enchantments aka the reception of Aarti and Kritesh! This opulent reception had us swooning, and Us to U Rentals embellished the ballroom at Chateau Luxe with a plethora of crystals through beaded chandeliers, candles, and crystal garlands. Right above the couple’s seating and dance floor, the ceiling decor comprised of beautiful crystals that rendered a halo effect in combination with the lavender lighting. The lighting by Karma Event Lighting was really the showstopper, because it enhanced the glint in the entire ballroom. The two long crisscross tables which we assumed seated the couple’s families added another dimension to the setup, and looked spectacular. There were a ton of unique elements at this soiree, and one that comes to mind is the centerpiece: a trio of martini glasses in varying sizes, with a floating candle placed inside. This is a simple yet stunning tablescape idea! Another standout aspect was the darling white and gold cake, designed by the multi talented Mehndi artist, Henna by Purvi. It featured motifs of classic Mehndi designs on each tier, topped off with matching pink flowers. One can never go wrong with pretty pearls and Aarti proved exactly that with her statement pearl arm cuff and a matching jewelry set. Makiaj added a pop of color to Aarti’s monochromatic look through a taffy pink lip, and kept the rest of her look chic and subdued through soft beach waves. Aarti and Kritesh coordinated so very elegantly, with Aarti in a stone-embroidered beige lehenga and a pink dupatta; Kritesh paired his black tuxedo with a satin pink bow tie. His shiny black shoes deserve a shout out! While NEON entertained the guests during cocktail hour, DJ Adhi from In The Mix Entertainment took over and turned things up a notch with the best of the latest, energetic beats. Take a look at this crystal extravaganza by heading straight to the gallery featuring photos by Birdsong Wedding Photography!
