Montego Bay, Jamaica Indian Wedding by True Colors Photography

Good morning, Maharanis! We hope you are ready to end this week with a trip to the beach, because today, we are taking you to the paradisiacal landscapes of Montego Bay, Jamaica, to enjoy Chandni & Priyank's wedding bash. And believe us, this is one you don't want to miss, as it packs tons of beauty, traditional flair, and inspiring ideas! And right before we start, we want to give a big shoutout to the good friends at True Colors Photography for sharing the fantastic shots they captured during this magical wedding celebration. It is thanks to their remarkable work that we get to enjoy every moment of this special event. The wedding ceremony hosted at the Sunset Cove Beach Resort was a dream come true, and we cannot stress how much we loved it! With the sea and the sunset as the background, and with the lovely ornaments and floral arrangements put together by Tai Flora Luxe, Chandni & Priyank could not have asked for a more perfect scenario to tie the knot in the company of their family and friends. They both looked incredibly happy, relaxed, and in love, that captivated everyone's attention. Still, it was our gorgeous Maharani who stole the show as she looked ravishing dressed in a soft colored lengha that made her look like a princess from a fairytale. And we cannot forget about the sleek hairstyle and makeup that Shimmer Studios created for this occasion, and the artistic Mehndi designed by Henna by Divya, they were both spectacular! After the ceremony, it was time to celebrate the newlyweds with a fabulous reception party hosted at Blue Lagoon, and by taking a look at the pictures of this closing gala, we can tell that everyone had the time of their lives! And we are not surprised that everything turned out to be this perfect as the highly experienced and talented team from Grand Palladium Hotels and Resorts coordinated this life-changing event, down to the smallest detail. If you can't get enough of this lovely couple during their wedding festivities, don't miss today's jaw-dropping gallery. We are sure you are going to be amazed by every single shot!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I was visiting family in London England, and took a day to wonder the city. I got lost at the train station trying to find my platform, bumped into Priyank(groom) asked him for directions. He walked me to the platform and asked me for my number. I denied it and gave him my Instagram. He slid into my DM’s and we began chatting. He flew to Toronto to see me about 3 months later to see if this would work, about the 4th day into his visit I just knew this was it.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
We took a trip to italy. We spent 10 days wandering different parts. He waiting u too the last day of our trip. We were in Venice, he proposed on a gondola ride. It was magical.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I knew I wanted Shimmer Studios for my makeup, as I’ve had her doll me up for my sisters wedding. No one else came to mind. Henna by Divya is an amazing henna artist and ever since I discovered her I knew when I got married she’d be the one. I almost didn’t recognize myself I looked so good . My henna was everything I dreamed of, the colour was dark, the design was everything I wanted. Both artist out did my expectations.

The resort i has only seen through pictures, I was a little nervous about how everything would turn out. My wedding planner from the resort  was amazing, when we got there she toured us around all the venues and asked us if we were satisfied. The decor I chose I just sent pictures of ideas but they put did themselves. Everything was exactly how I wanted and more.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I knew I didn’t want to go tradition red and gold, when I went to Mumbai to do my shopping i saw it in the 2nd store I went into and just knew that it was the one.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Most enjoyable part was planning the reception and the dances.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The vibe at the resort was amazing. Everyone from both sides got along well. The food was great. There was never a dull moment, everyone’s needs were catered to. One thing we did that everyone appreciated was incorporate Everyone into all of the events so everyone had a part in the wedding.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The reception would be my most memorable moment, after the reception everyone jumped off the balcony into the pool.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
The Decor at the reception was Gorgeous! I knew from the pictures that it would be nice but seeing it in person even I was in awe of it. The dances at the reception were amazing. The entire wedding party did a surprise dance for myself and the groom, I watch that video almost everyday. My sister and brother in-law did a story line dance that outlined our entire relationship and it was amazing.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Don’t set expectations. It’ll set you up for disappointment. Plan everything with a cool and calm mind, and trust your instincts. Enjoy EVERY moment because it goes by so quickly.

That is all for today, darlings! Have a great weekend full of love and inspiring ideas, and don't forget to join us on Monday for more!

I wanted to do everything myself so I didn’t hire a wedding planner. We chose the venue by researching through destination weddings as well as the internet. We chose Jamaica as our destination because before we were a couple I had always said I would like to get married in Jamaica and he jokingly asked if he would be invited. When he proposed he remembered our conversation from years ago and reminded me about Jamaica.
We both love reggae so for the reception I wanted to bring that love to our guests. I created a seating chart with each table having a reggae song title instead of a table number.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I had seen a picture online 10 years ago and had not heart set on getting married in that outfit. I found a designer in India, sent them the picture and asked if they could make me the lengha and they did an amazing job. Since it was a destination wedding I didn’t want to have the typical all red or maroon outfit so I chose to have a shade of light blue/sea blue in my outfit.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
They honestly loved everything

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Do what you and your fiancé want, you will constantly get unsolicited advise from every family member. It is your big day don’t let anyone ruin it.

Time to say goodbye, ladies! But we hope to see you here tomorrow for a new love story!
