Maharani Kajal on meeting her Raja and how she knew he was "the one":

"I met Ankur (who's from the UK) when he came to visit his friends in Atlanta, GA. Immediately a spark was ignited!! Both of us just had a feeling and we were together for about 7 years, and the majority of our relationship was long distance."

On the romantic proposal:

"While I was visiting Ankur in Budapest, Hungary where he was in dental school, there's a place overlooking the entire city of Budapest, which is one of the highest points. While looking at the city, Ankur proposed!

Hmm... I don't know about a romantic engagement memory, but I do have a funny one. A day before our engagement ceremony Ankur decided to freak me out by telling me his engagement ring didn't fit him. Of course then I was panicking so I decided to ask him to show me. Well it turns out he was putting the ring on the wrong finger the entire time!!! Silly guy!"

Stay tuned for the marvelous ceremony featuring Occasions by Shangri-la's perfectly designed decor!

Scottsdale, AZ Hindu-Jewish Wedding by Portraits By Andra

When you're one of the most sought-after beauty experts among brides and it's your turn to tie the knot, you can be sure you're leaving your hair and makeup details trusted to no one other than yourself and your skilled team, so it's no surprise that Pooja Mehta of Makiaj Beauty took charge and styled herself to Princess perfection! Rocking an ultra-chic updo made for her dupatta, and looking stunning in a coral-colored lip that's just the right shade to go with her red-orange Anita Dongre wedding lengha, Maharani Pooja made the most breathtaking bride. She drew on inspiration from the Moghul period and emphasized the ceremony theme by donning a set of jewels with an amazing, ancient design. When we return, it's off to the mandap with today's Indian bride for a fabulously designed ceremony featuring luxurious floral and decor details by Occasions By Shangri-La! While you're waiting to revel in those romantic highlights, check out the complete gallery for more spellbinding photos from Pooja and Shimon's Hindu-Jewish fusion fairy tale captured by Portraits By Andra!

Maharani Pooja, on wearing her dream wedding lengha:

"My favorite designer, Anita Dongre, whose style is reflective of mine with the modern day bride getting married in Agra and Dehli, designed my red bridal wear. I have always been such a huge fan of her work because her fabric and design speaks for itself. Its simple, elegant and yet traditionally modern!! I decided to wear one of her most recognized pieces, the Red Gota Patti Embroidered Lengha that had a simple gold modern blouse and a red skirt. I never saw myself wearing anything with crystal work or anything too flashy; I wanted my hair and makeup to stand out afterall!"

On her bridal jewelry:

"For the Hindu ceremony I wore some traditional elegant kundan jewelry which is what the queens would wear during the Moghul times. I also wore a traditional satlerie in emerald green and ruby which is another significant piece worn by the queens in palaces during the era that inspired my wedding style."

On her bridal party's outfits:

"My two beautiful sisters/bridesmaids wore white gota patti lenghas inspired by Anita Dongre, and my mom wore a beautiful indigo hand designed piece, from Ritu Kumar Panchvastra’s collection, which was inspired by the ancient technique of hand woven technique used years ago in India."

Don't move a muscle, my dears! It's ceremony time in Scottsdale, Arizona, when I get back!

Maharani Alka on meeting her Raja and how she knew he was "the one":

"We met on Match.com. I knew he was Mr. Right over the next 3 years as he made every difficult situation easier."

On the romantic proposal:

"It was raining on December 16, 2014 -- our 3 year dating anniversary. Usually the lights in Ghiradelli square are turned off during the rain. He called ahead and had them turn on the lights for 2 hours so he could propose in front of the Christmas tree. Our first date he took me to see the Christmas lights and gingerbread houses around the city. Really was a very romantic gesture."

Up next we'll take a look at the Indian bride and groom's phenomenal portrait sessions!
