What better way to start off our bridal adventure than to see our beautiful Sri Lankan bride getting ready for her big day! Maharani Randhi is coming together flawlessly with the help of hair and makeup artist Farah Manekia! Her almond-shaped eyes are accentuated with soft, shimmering shadows and her lips are pronounced with a bronze-toned lip color! The gold jewels from Sri Lanka look lovely on her tan skin! This Springtime Indian wedding wonder full of joy and splendor comes to us from sunny, Southern California! It's Aditya and Runjhun's bid day and we get to see all the amazing details coordinated by Planning Elegance. Lin & Jirsa Photography kick things off with the bride getting her hair and makeup done by the talented Beauty By NG Nida Gazi. The makeup is bold, with dark liner, defined brows, luscious lashes and bright red lips. A light dust of shimmer graces her upper cheek bones to achieve that bridal glow. Her slicked back updo serves as the perfect foundation for her bejewelled multi-chain tikka. Our Maharani is a true Bollywood beauty in her red lengha! From the bride, on how they met:

"I met Aditya on Match.com. After initially emailing and texting back and forth, the moment we spoke over the phone, I knew he was "the one". I felt this uncanny connection with him, as though we had known each other for a lifetime, and I guess he felt something too because we ended up having that conversation into the early hours of the morning!"

On hair and makeup:

"I wanted to have a very vintage, retro look for my wedding ceremony. I was lucky that during my wedding shopping, my father actually found a matha patti that was exactly what I needed. With a broad center tikka, it also had 4 strands of kundan going out from it to each side, so it acted more like a headpiece covering my entire head. It was absolutely gorgeous, and added to the "Jodha" look I was going for. For the reception, I wanted to go more glamourous, since the theme to our reception was a movie premiere to our movie, at which we were being introduced as the stars."

On the lengha:

"Not to sound a bit like Harry Potter, but I did not choose my lehenga, but rather, my lehenga chose me! I was in Bombay, searching for that perfect lehenga to say yes to, but all in despair. On my last day in Bombay, a lehenga that was actually being shipped aboard was accidentally shown to me, and it ended up being the one! I knew from the moment I tried it that it was exactly the classic, red, vintage piece I had been looking for."

Shandro Photo shares with us a Sikh wedding event taking place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada! Here's a stunning look at the beautiful bride getting primped and primed by Dolled up by Lulu for the big day! Bold makeup and a dramatic bun makes our Maharani a sight to behold! Her eyes are flawlessly defined with winged out liner and smoked out shadows. The bright red lip is a perfect match to her red and gold salwaar kameez! And I am loving her 24 karat multi-chain tikka courtesy of Punjab Jewellers! From the groom, on the proposal:

"Our story didn’t start out like the typical fairy tale but the proposal was almost straight out of the books. In February 2015, we decided to meet in Las Vegas for our first Valentine’s Day together and do a photo shoot for our upcoming wedding. Since we started talking our running joke was that if I proposed, it would be with a ring pop and when I first met Jaskreet I had surprised her with one. To continue our playful tradition I convinced her that even for our photo shoot we should use the ring pop from when we first met. We had decided to exchange rings on our Sangeet night, which is the first event leading up to the Wedding but in the meantime I was researching and sourcing the perfect ring in time to surprise Jaskreet on Valentine’s Day. At breakfast on February 14th, 2015, I told Jaskreet that I brought a fancy ring box to put her ring pop in for the photo shoot and handed her a bag. As she reached in the bag to pull out the box I got down on one knee and asked her to make me the luckiest man in the world. Jaskreet was genuinely surprised and said YES. For Jaskreet and I, it was important to keep this moment special. No pictures, just a memory between the two of us. While in Vegas, we joked about eloping as neither one of us wanted a typical big Sikh wedding. But lo and behold, our wedding is spanning six days, in two countries with guest attending from all across around the globe."

From the bride, on the hair and makeup:

"I had a awesome makeup artist Lulu from Dolled Up by Lulu based is California. I flew her and her team down. I had no consultation nothing and I let her work her magic, and wow she did! I have had my hair and makeup done a lot but Lulu really did go above and beyond and she really made me feel like I was a princess. She worked her magic by just looking at my outfits 5 minutes before she would start my hair and makeup."

On the bridal jewelry:

"I had my wedding morning set made by Punjab Jewellers—it was all 24 carat gold and included 3 necklaces and a head piece for my reception. I also had custom made by Kyles jewelry based in London the crown which had weighed a ton so I didn't keep it on all night."
