Indian Fusion Wedding : Natalia & Leonard IV

So, there are really three details about this fusion wedding that made me fall in love at first sight. One was their adorable fusion wedding theme : Love is the Spice of Life.  The second was that awesome guestbook idea.  And the third, was their ethnic inspired sweetheart table.  Draped with sari type fabric, and adorned with crystals, it’s haute!

The coolest thing about this sweetheart table, is that it makes a BIG statement without using flowers. (Saving you money for other parts of your wedding celebration!) The finale of this Indian fusion Wedding coming right up – back in a flash!

Featured Indian Wedding : Nikita and Ankur III

There are oodles of cute indian wedding ideas in today's featured wedding. So, I know I blew the surprise in the last post by mentioning the gorgeous wedding cake and sweetheart table from this wedding, but I really couldn’t resist. A wedding isn’t really a WEDDING without a wedding cake. The cake is an iconic element of the room that sets apart your wedding reception from any graduation, anniversary or retirement party. I am cake obsessed.  I mean, I always dreamed of having a cake fight on my wedding day, which to the better judgement of my husband did not happen, so there is something that I just love about a big, fat, white wedding cake.  I have a sugar high just looking at this one!

And, I absolutely loooooove this crystal castle sweetheart table. Utterly, totally romantic. A definite do!

Finale post coming up in a few…..back in a flash!

Featured Indian Wedding : Reema & Jiggar, Finale

I am moving today!  We are just moving a few blocks down, but this is my 9th move in 9 years, so I am thrilled because it looks like we will be staying for more than a cup of tea, and hopefully forever! That being said, this week we will only be having one editorial on the blog, instead of the usual two posting.  Next week, when I have all my boxes unpacked, we will be back in full swing of things, and maybe even a surprise post here and there!

We are back today featuring the heavenly wedding of Reema and Jigar. Planned and executed by Working Brides, this reception does not disappoint. I have a *designer-crush* on the gals over at Partyland Flowers & Event Décor because this reception is striking meets elegant all tied up with an ethnic bow. Sachi Sood always comes up with amazing ideas for each and every Indian Wedding she does.  It is pretty spectacular.

Some more details from Sachi over at Partyland : we created a 10' chandiler in the middle of the reception room, we also created 5' tall centerpieces that were flowers made into the shape of a pineapple, we uped the anty and hung roses off her mandap so they looked as though they were floating in air, we created a stage decor for the reception that reached the ceiling and most enjoyably we created something that had never been created before!

Amazing isn’t it?!  Just wait, you won’t be able to take your eyes off this sweetheart table. It is definitely one of a kind.

Featured South Asian Wedding : Michelle loves Atif, II

If you are just tuning in today, we are featuring Michelle and Atif’s spectacular wedding from the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, CA.  Their wedding was designed and executed by the experts at Exquisite Events.  Nikki Khan is a real favorite around here, and you will see why as their glamorous reception unfolds.

Did you know that roses are the international symbol of love? That being said, I always loooove receptions done in this special flower.  Each distinct color rose has its own interpretation.  Pink roses symbolize grace and gentility while white roses represent purity.

From Nikki: The keywords for the reception were "elegance & romance." A a neutral color palette was chosen with ivories, champagnes, & blushes.  A breathtakingly beautiful stage was created for the couple with French Regency furniture, lush fabric, and a floral canopy. The centerpieces also reflected the romantic ambience. The room was washed in subtle shades of gold from florals, to lighting, to candles.

Take a look at these shots of this sweetheart table that I am completely I am obsessed with. What a romantic backdrop to dine for the first time as the new Mr. & Mrs.!!!

Because this is one of those jaw dropping weddings that make you say OMG to yourself over and over, we will be back with part 3 of this affair in a few minutes.  So stay seated!!!
