For the conclusion of their Indian wedding, this Indian bride and groom change up their outfits one last time! Our groom opts for a modern tux with a royal blue tie that matches our Maharani's bridal lengha -- gorgeous! Bridal Elegance changes up our Indian bridal hair by letting Sachi's hair hang in loose curls pinned with playful daisies. Inside, Photographick Studios shows us an elegantly decorated ballroom at the Fox Chase Manor. Partyland spices up the blue Indian wedding theme with touches of deep red florals.

See you tomorrow Maharanis for our last post of 2011!
So, Smita, from Ethnic Essence, share with me a bit about how the process happens. After brain storming ideas, and looking at countless images, she gets an understanding for what her bride’s taste, style, budget (l love that she is realistic), and color palette is and goes to work. She spends hours contemplating and designing the best possible thing for her clients. And, in the end, her work speaks for itself….from concept to completion!
Aren't these lighted, hanging leaves adorable?!
Remember Sonal & Amrish's uber-fab wedding? Here are the before sketches...
Great job to the entire Ethnic Essence team! Happy weekend everyone!
Outside our engagement sessions week, we almost never feature engagement sessions on the site. However, today we are going to make an exception….well, that is because this next engagement session is exceptional. Sarah is a devoted Maharani reader (love her!) and Maharani-to-be this coming June. She is half Lebanese, half West Indian and her handsome hubby-to-be is of Pakistani descent. They did a take on K3G and came up with this awesome desert engagement session, since our bride is from Las Vegas, and our groom is from Texas.
Look carefully at these next two shots. It is the same bench accessorized in two completely different ways. The photo on the right looks like it is out of the Taj Hotel in Dehli. The one on the left looks like a bench from the store Shabby Chic. This is where you absolutely must work with a photographer you trust. Styling a shoot is just as important as location.
See! Everyone has a lil’ Bollywood in them! These photos are like movie star central! What I love most about this engagement session is that the couple and photographer put together a shoot that reflected them as a couple. It isn’t just pretty pictures in amazing lighting. It is something that uniquely defines Sarah & Ahmer. I heart it, B.I.G. time! And, I can’t wait to see what this creative couple has up their sleeve for their South Asian fusion wedding!

So, if you still haven’t gotten over the red roses from Monday and Tuesday, you are in luck. We have more for you today! Maharani features weddings to give our readers ideas for their own Indian weddings. Not all Maharanis-to-be have the same budget, but if you pick the right designer, your dream wedding will definitely come to life.
When Suhaag Garden sent me this reception, I knew it was the perfect complement to our latest featured wedding. It is the same red rose concept, elegantly done in a scaled down, more budget friendly way.

How to get the look:
1. In order to give that dramatic impact Indian weddings are famous for, Jilna and her team put most of the design into the bride & groom’s head table. Since it is their wedding, seems obvious right? By making them the focus of the ballroom, the rest of the tables seamlessly float into the backdrop with minimal decor.
2. The tree branches create a bold, dramatic entrance for the newlyweds. Bunches of roses were placed sporadically on the trees to give that yummy, royal, red rose feel. You save tons of money by going this route, and still create the uber-romantic ambiance.
3. The key to red (or any strong color, for that matter) décor is lighting. Without lighting it would be almost impossible to create the color story. Bright, red uplights paired with some warm, soft, golds are always a hit. And give that ethereal glow in pictures. Love!
There you have it. And, with your extra dough, you might just have enough for this 6 tier matching wedding cake!
