From the bride, on the first dance:

"Our first dance was to Bryan Adams, "Everything I Do". The song for our first dance was chosen solely by my husband. After he suggested it, I listened to it more closely than I have in the past and it was perfect. I asked him today why he chose that song and his response was, "Because all I do, I do for you and I will always do for you and our family."

Final thoughts:

"My wedding day(s) went by so fast. It came so quickly and left equally so. I always tell my husband that I would like to do it all over again, changing nothing."

Hope you enjoyed every moment of this wedding as much as I did! See ya next time, gal pals!

From the bride, on the reception fashion:

"I chose my reception lengha in India when shopping in Bangalore with my cousins, aunt and mom. We looked at a bunch of stores and nothing was jumping out at me. I originally was thinking something with some soft pinks, golds, and creams. I wanted to say away from hot pink since much of my other outfits had that color! I was getting worried I would find what I wanted. I really wanted a lot of bling and kundun work, since my morning wedding outfits were much more traditional. At the very last store we went to before going home, we found THE ONE. It was on a manican in the bridal floor of the store. It was draped so beautifully and looked just exquisite. The lengha is coral/pink with gold and cream and lots of work - exactly what I wanted! The coral was a different color than the original 'soft pink' I had wanted, but was so different and beautiful i just knew it was the perfect offset. It was really fun shopping with my family in India to pick out this gorgeous outfit."

On the first dance:

"Ever since we met, we loved the song 'Cinema,' by Benny Benassi. Rohan always sings to me that I am his Cinema. It was too fast of a song for our first dance, so we found an acoustic version on Youtube to play as our first dance."

See ya next time, gals!

Indianapolis, IN Indian Wedding by Carpenter Photo & Design

Heating things up for their elegant Indian wedding reception are our lovebirds looking sensational in their post bash attire. While Pavan is looking oh-so GQ in his black suit and polka-dot bowtie, our Maharani is modelesque in a red-orange lengha by KalkiKaren Hall and Co does a bang-up job styling those luscious locks of hers! Carpenter Photo & Design catches up with the newlyweds cutting a rug on the ballroom floor of the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis in Indiana. This classy venue is enlivened with a contemporary sweetheart stage surrounded by a bountiful bevy of fabulous floral arrangements, courtesy of Elegance Decor. Every detail looks sublime, including the four-tier wedding cake which is Simply Perfection. Hats off to planning and design visionaries, Tara Nicole Weddings and Events, for meticulously dotting all the I's and crossing all the T's to make this a truly unforgettable day for Sonia and Pavan. You can relive all its glory in the complete gallery!

From the bride, on the first dance:

"Our first dance song was a Thousand Years, by Christina Perri. I love pop/country and Pavan loves anything he can dance to. We listened to "top first dance song" playlists and decided this one fit us the best. We had also liked John Legend's, All of Me, but had heard it at 4 other weddings that year so decided we wanted to have something different."

Additional details:

" We had an amazing cake!!! We had 5 different flavors of which my favorites were golden butter with a white chocolate caramel mousse filling and almond cake with a chocolate strawberry mousse. My in-laws bought me a beautiful diamond necklace/earrings set that I wore to the reception. I wore a combination of my mom's and specially purchased necklaces for the wedding sari. My mendhi lady did such a good job. It took a little over 4 hours to complete both my hands/legs but it was so intricate and perfect. Per tradition, she hid the letters of Pavan's name on my hands so he had to find it before the wedding. I had initially wanted an outdoor wedding, but due to space restrictions and weather... I was told it was impossible. We found a beautiful "garden pavilion" at the Ritz Charles which was the best of both worlds... ie had a roof but glass on all sides. All of our decorations were well thought out to match the outdoorsy feel with corals, teals, white and we even draped the ceiling with pretty fabric. Unfortunately, it flooded the day before our sangeet, which was a blessing in disguise since it was hot and humid, and the inside "backup" room was air conditioned. Both our wedding and reception were at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, and all the Hyatt staff/decor company/Tara Nicole Weddings did a great job flipping our wedding space into reception room within 4 hours. I carried a red rose/raspberry calla lilies bouquet, which my bridesmaids carried raspberry calla bouquets."

Hope you were taking notes, ladies! See ya next time!
