The planning and design team went above and beyond blushing bride, Karishma's, expectations and delivered the Desi wedding of her dreams — and ours! Check out these strikingly photographed highlights from the morning of, as the Indian bride of the hour got ready to say I do to the Raja of her dreams, Kinjal. Her hair and makeup artist from Cinderella Bridez flawlessly finished her look, complementing her stunning red wedding lengha brilliantly. Thanks to the fabulous folks at Equishare Baraat Horses, her Prince Charming was as dashing as can be as he road into the ceremony on horseback via his baraat procession through the streets of New York City. We're falling over the fantastically luxurious floral and decor work by the fabulous folks from Design House Decor at the venue, and you will be too. From the lavishly decked out mandap to the romantically twinkling candlelights, this wedding wonderland is plucked straight out of the pages of a fairy tale. Industry experts, Ring to Aisle Events, have planned and designed the most breathtaking outdoor ceremony for the husband and wife-to-be, which features a waterfront mandap with violet and lavender floral and decor by Elegant Affairs that will make you swoon! Donning a traditional red wedding lengha by Rohit Verma, and rocking some seriously styled hair and makeup by Kanwal Batool, today's Indian bride is the picture of perfection in every conceivable way. Her aisle has been decorated in a beautiful design composed of purple petals, and the sea of Chiavari chairs filled with loved ones have been elegantly capped with bunches of plum perfect bouquets! Drish Couture Events planned and designed the most splendid Indian wedding reception for today's bride and groom, and it's time for them to hit the floor for their first dance! Jacques Mateo, of Mateos Wedding, captured that memorable moment, and many more, from the post-ceremony party, where Maharani Jigna donned a stunning and elegant lengha from Dilli Darzi. Her hair and makeup by Appease Inc. were fabulously finished and not a single floral or decor detail was left out. The sweetheart table stood centerstage and was surrounded by a semi-halo of floating candles that illuminated the newlyweds beautifully. We'll be giving you an exclusive look at the highlight reel from Jigna and Rahul's wedding day, created by A&A Photography and Video, tomorrow on our Platinum Guide, so make sure to check it out! Maharani Jigna, on her most memorable wedding day moment: 

"It all went by very fast but my favorite was the reception program, I feel like it really was for us to sit back and enjoy, especially when my family did a surprise dance and my mom did the whip and nae and nae."

On her first dance with Raja Rahul:

"We had a friend from my high school play sax and it was beautiful, and we invited everyone to come dance with us half way through the song and as I remember it, it was just him and I on the floor, I was shocked when I saw the pictures and saw how many people were on the dance floor with us enjoying the moment."

On the role that family and friends played:

"My mother-in-law worked really hard to make sure I had the invitations that I wanted, all custom-made. It was stressful but she was able to navigate that very well and it was a big help! My parents and best friends helped me with a lot of the minor details, from our table numbers to some of the centerpieces, there were a lot of DIY aspects."

The gorgeous grounds of the Dolce Basking Ridge made for the perfect backdrop in these beautiful reception portraits of today's newlyweds. With Damion Edwards Photography behind the lens, Ramya and Ashwin surely had no shortage of amazing shots to choose from! Our lovely Indian bride swapped her bridal sari for a romantic, pink and gold lace reception outfit that will knock your tikkas off! Raja Ashwin went with a handsome, and perfectly tailored, three-piece blue-gray suit with a blush-colored tie, and made the perfect complement to his Maharani's contemporary post-ceremony couture. Now that Ramya's hair is down, we're thinking she's ready to hit the dance floor and celebrate the night away! Here's a sneak peek at some of the decor from her party, which is coming up later today!
