From the bride, on the first dance:

"As the time got closer we sat down together and went through a few lists. Finally we came up with something we both agreed on-Lucky, by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat."

Additonal details:

"From start to finish everyone was very excited about the wedding. The cake was done by Sue Sanicky of The Pinery. She really went above and beyond customizing flavors for our wedding. While she came up with many to choose from, we finally settled on cardamom ginger. It was perfect way to incorporate our American and Indian backgrounds not to mention it tasted great! My mehndi was done by Jiji Gopalakrishnan. She did a fabulous job. It was a meticulous 8 hours of work but the result was amazing. The Pueblo Convention Center was more then accommodating. Kelley really made my vison come to life and did whatever she could to make things happen. In the center of all Indian celebrations is food. Chowpatty from New Jersey came through on all their promises. It was a great treat for all the guest especially those who had never tried Indian food."

Until next time, my darlings!

From the bride, on the wedding style:

"I knew I wanted my wedding to hold true to many of the Indian traditions I grew up with but still incorporate some of the elements Will and I wanted. I wasn't sure where to start but once I found a wedding planner, Amen of Pawar Inc., she was able to lead the way. I knew I wanted a less is more approach and for things to feel elegant and simple. We talked over a few color palette options and finally found one that was bright and colorful with a slight twist on traditional Indian colors."

On her favorite part of planning:

"As most brides would agree, the process had many ups and downs but my favorite part was seeing it all come together. There were so many moving parts that are difficult to envision as a whole however on the day everything fell into place. I can truly say I had my fairytale wedding that I will remember forever."

On a special moment:

"Looking back I still remember after our welcome dinner was over, Will and I had to say goodnight to each other before our big day. We shared a quick few words and he went one way and I went the other both knowing that the next day would be one of the most important and special of our lives. A quick glance back at each other solidified the unspoken excitement we both felt. I'll never forget that look on his face!"

On family and friends helping:

"Indian weddings are really a time to bring family and friends together. Its one of the things I love about the process.  Without the help of all of these people the wedding would not have been possible. My parents were involved in every step of the way and also many family and friends jumped in wherever necessary. Everyone was more then happy to do whatever they could to make the event perfect."

The reception celebration is coming right up!
