From the bride, on the first dance:

"Everything, by Michael Bubble. It became 'our song' because when it came on the radio one day, he just looked at me and said, 'This is what you are to me... Everything.'"

On family and friends helping:

"Most of the planning was done by my parents. My brother is a dancer in a professional Bollywood dance troupe and they did all the performances. My maternal side of the family got together and performed a skit which was definitely a great surprise. We also had some of our Australian friends do a surprise performance to the Kashmir-Kanya Kumari song, as Adrian is Anglo Indian Malyalee and I am Punjabi Hindu so this made us very excited."

"Our wedding style was not over the top but it was very ME. I love peacocks and our wedding invites were of a peacock design, and there were little peacock elements throughout the wedding. We wanted something colorful, vibrant and fun-filled. That's exactly how our big day turned out ."

On her favorite part of planning:

"The fact that I could do everything online! I live in Perth and the wedding was in Malaysia. There was no time to go to India to shop which was what I initially wanted. So I hired a designer and did everything online. Big risk that turned out great."

On a special moment:

"To me, the Kanyadaan was something that was very emotional yet magical, and, the moment the sindoor was put on— that feeling I can't describe."

"Our cake was one of our favorite things at our wedding. From the very beginning, we always wanted a suspended cake and our wedding planner, Nahid, helped custom create the stand and get it suspended. It was perfect!"

"Sanjay and I fell in love with each other while falling in love with the East Coast. We were living in Boston when we first started dating and one of our favorite things about the East Coast was the Fall season and all the beautiful colors. When we starting thinking about out wedding, we always knew we wanted to bring the east coast fall to the west coast which became our inspiration for the decor and colors."

On the venue:

"We absolutely loved loved loved our venue. We couldn't have asked for a better setting for all our guest to stay and celebrate with us all weekend. Every one enjoyed the amazing resort and the beautiful weather and views of San Diego."

Every moment of our wedding was special and magical. When we think about that day, the thing that makes it the most special is our friends and families being there to celebrate our love. Sanjay and I have lived in many places throughout our lives and we have friends from different times in our lives. It was so amazing to have all of them come together in one place and celebrate with us."
